Fabulous, I'm leathered now 🤣 subscribed partially for the local shots and accent! (We're in horwich near Bolton) I have this lens in a 17 and have just ordered the 50, can't wait!
These lenses produce a nostalgic look, reminds me of when I was a kid and mom had a cheap film camera and I would snap away with it. Love it!!! Great video.
I have the 50mm f1.2 and yes that separation is amazing. I don’t use it often but (due to the bargain price) I’m completely happy to have it as an occasional artsy lens.
I own all the lenses mentioned here and I have to say, the coma and blooming of these lenses makes them hard to use or atleast only in rare conditions if you want to use them wide open. the ttartisan 25mm f2 on the other hand is very sharp, little coma and blooming even wide open. It's a much, much better lens compared to the other ones.
Just received my set from China in less than a week! They are amazing and feel fantastic quality pieces of work - how long they will last who knows but when the double sided tape on a Lumix 12-32 zoom ring can give out and it comes off on your hand these feel like you could break rocks with them - Thanks for the recommendation!
I really wish TTArtisan would make a micro4/3 set of lenses based on their 35mm f/1.4 Leica M lens. Love the looks and design of that one in silver. 14mm, 18mm, and 25mm, all f1.4🙏🏻 please!🙂 Love seeing you out shooting with the GH6 Emily!
My advice, test thoroughly and send back if necessary. My 17mm copy did not focus to infinity and was too tight on my Pany G9 and G100. Aperture ring is also quite tight. Further, lens is too heavy for most bodies, but works well on the G9. Therefore, buyer beware of sample variations and issues mentioned. I also have an autofocus Sigma 19mm f2.8 from way back when and it is sharper at every aperture, FYI...
I also have these lenses and I completely agree with you that all 3 very good for the price but 50mm is the best. Its just amazing I use much more than the other 2. I make a lots of prortraits about my children and to me the character is very unique when using it with tube for macro shots.
I just ordered the 50mm in silver. It should look lovely on my silver Pen F. Have you ever tried the Laowa 17mm f1.8? I have that lens and it is tack sharp and tiny. See if you can get Laowa to send you one for testing.
I will buy my first manual lens so which one will be better for night, street, and potrait photography ttartisan 35 f1.4 or ttartisan 50mm f1.2, plz tell me I am really confused
I am really tempted to buy these inexpensive lenses. But I am afraid that wil gather dust eventually because I have the oly 12-40 pro and 40-150 pro and the DJI 15mm 1,7 and I have the sigma 56mm 1,4.
Hi. Txs for your review. By the way, I have a question. I am a beginner. I just bought a Sony nex F3, with a native 18/55 mm Sony lens. I am ok with it. It is quite versatile and good enough to start and discover my camera. BUT, it is to Big! I want something to make my camera pocketable, and keep my 18/55 in my backpack. And I do not want a lens that will not be the same use as my 18/55. And m'y budget is quite low.... So, I am thinking to buy 25mm 7artisan or TTartisan Lens. But will it be so different than my 18/55? I Think also at the 18mm 7 artisan Lens. VERY small. But muche less versatile. But maybe enough for street considering I have my 18/55mm. Considering the lens I alreday have, and the fact I want my camera light and pocketable, what would you advise me, 18mm or 25mm? Thank you very much. Raphaël
Given how magnificent their 50mm is for Leica M (its an absolute wonder) is it possible that some of the engineering of that lens ended up in this version? Because the colour and bokeh look VERY similar.
I have the sigma 56mm but L Mount unfortunately rather than m43. Going off my experience with that Mount though the sigma is miles sharper, but I do like the image quality out of the TTArtisan!
@@MicroFourNerds yeah, I might grab that just for fun. I already have a 17mm Oly and a 50mm 7Artisans, but don't have a 35mm prime so that TT could be just the ticket.
It will work fine with that camera for photography, but won’t be great for video without the in-camera stabilisation. For Photos it’ll be a really good light combo!
Your photos of Amsterdam feel very different. Not like I see it as a (former) native, rushing through quickly to get somewhere, not like a tourist. Very nice to see. I have the 50mm. It's kind of a "surprise lens" if you ask me. Some shots are one big flare or chromatic abberation, some shots are perfect. Overall character is very nice though, especially in black and white.
Hi I have 17,22,35,50mm and 50 mm is the best imho specially for video wide Open handheld Jobs with Focus Gear...you should try out with my GH5 is really great...yours fil
@@MicroFourNerds We do indeed get amazing sunsets. On a completely random tangent, I am loving filming with my GH6. I spent Saturday riding and filming on steam trains with just my camera. Even though I was bumped around on a moving train I was gobsmacked at how stable the footage was. I have a feeling my gimbal is going to get a lot of cobwebs at this rate.
Argh, don't tempt me! They have really cool shapes and are generally old school in many ways, good and not so good.. but that also has its charm. TT Artisans have come a long way from their initial offerings.
Why prices in dollars when you are Manx based? I don’t understand why Red35 does it either. I have the 7artisans 35 f1.2 which is even smaller that the TTArtisans 35 f1.4 and rarely bump the video friendly aperture ring. I wish the 17mm f1.4 was as lightweight as these 2 lenses.
Weirdly according to my analytics 70% of my audience is American. I was also surprised that the 17mm was larger. I kept picking up the 35mm assuming it was the 17!
Shot every time I say “clinical” 🤣 which lens did you like best?
1.2/50 :)
By the way, my favourite is 1.4/23. But obviously this is a matter of opinion and individuality. This is me, someone else sees it differently.

I got the 17mm and the 35mm, that was by far the best review I've watched, thank you for the effort.

I use the 7Artisans 50mm f/.95. Would love to see a comparison of the two on a future episode.

Embrace the quirks, that's what these are for!

Thanks for the review ! I bought the 35mm and I'm absolutely in love with it, having a lot of fun. But now I'm looking at the 50mm too...
So I bought the set and I LOVE it!! Like you, I enjoy the 50mm best, especially for street photography. This focal length works well in MFT.
I just ordered the 35mm and I’m so pumped. Thank you for the insights! Very helpful for decision making

Nice review. Were you shooting on the GH6?
I was yes 😊
I really like your Videos, specially about the TTartisans Limited Edition.
Great informative video with a good amount of quality sample shots
Nice review thnx and timely as ive been curious about these

It would be a real pleasure to see a review from you about the Sigma trio!

Emily, you've gone full Canadian with that plaid shirt! Yuuss!
Hahaha it’s my fave 🤣

your sigma is by far the best any of this lens

How do you use this? Aperture priority with auto ISO? Shutter with auto ISO? Or manual with auto ISO?
Ma'am, is the tt artisan 17mm f1.4 sharp at 1.4 for video with mft lumix?
Idk about this, but i think you got a bad copy? Im having not any problem with my 17&35
my 35mm f1.4 coming today once done ill let you know

Damn... I came here just for the 17mm 1.4 review... Now i want all of them 😢
thanks from holland
35mm MFT is $66.40 on Amazon right now, wow!
Crazy isn’t it?! I do love a bargain!

Definitely 🙈 haha
Thanks for that Review. Nevertheless i waver between 23 and 17/1.4 for my PenF. Have to sleep on it for a few more nights.

I just bought the 17mm f1.4 waiting on the post China is a long way away but got it even cheaper for the wait.......

Need them to make a nice cheap but sharp 400mm wildlife lens… and a macro lens while they’re at it lol
The 60mm macro is fantastic! The mark ii at least. The mark i is a bit odd.
Your wishes have been granted, there's now a 500mm TTArtisan
much better if you put the aperture set of each photo youve taken
Hi! Would you prefer this 50mm f1.2 or the Olympus 45mm f1.8?
I think just for the auto focus is like the Olympus. But for the shallower depth of field, this 50mm is lovely!
Did you like my home town?
😀
I did very much! Got some great sunsets!

Nice video but why do you-tubers say "price point" instead of simply saying "price"?
I dont like how design of 17mm and 35mm 😂 It small on the front but i like the image and the price more cheap than my 17 mm F1.8
Try the Laowa 17/1.8. Gorgeous, metal, great optics, $149 USD. It’s pretty much my favorite lens now.
