I own a 2012 Acura ZDX (black with umber interiors) and it have an amazing handling. This crossover is amazing in snow/icy driving conditions. About the cargo, I travel and do a lot of road trips, I had fit two big luggage and 2 carryons. Also I just bought two office chairs and they fit perfectly. If your looking to buy a car,SUV or Crossover that can fit a sofa, buy a pick up truck or a minivan. Wont recomend it for a big Family, but for a Family of four is a great vehicle and you don't have to sacrifice design, sportiness and luxury. BTW, every time I park my car, when I return it have hands mark everywhere of people trying to look the interior. It's a shame how hard "experts" reviewed this vehicle, I think they only like fat asses cars or SUV's. This crossover is unique, for out of the box minded people.
this is for a select few people who have enough money to buy this car but arent super rich, and like something reliable and different and has a very polarizing look, and dosent really do much well but they dont care
I don't feel like this is a helpful review... He reviews the ZDX comparing it to other SUVs avaliable, but that's not what the target audience of this car wants. They want a sporty crossovers, not an SUV, so compare the ZDX to other sporty crossovers like the BMW X6 or the Crosstour. They already understand that for the sporty crossover look they need to sacrifice things like head room and trunk space.
Why does he instantly start talking about cargo capacity, this isnt the car for construction site workers who need to carry shit from place to place, this is simply a car for carrying around people and normal cargo, like grocery bags...
For someone who slept in the trunk of mine last night it's not hard to get into the backseat, but holy shit is it hard for someone to get out of the trunk even laid flat. prob 4 concussions on my part and my girl flopped all over the console trying to get back into the passenger seat like a slip n slide lol
I thin it's really nice looking. But what is the point of those side cubbies in the back? They just take up space that would b a minor inconvenience. That dashboard is really cool with the special light up fading buttons.

I think the Land Cruiser is $66,000 now. So you could get a used Land Cruiser. I don't think the ZDX really competes for Land Cruiser business though. The back seats on the ZDX are pretty tight, that is really the primary problem I see with this vehicle. For agile/flexible people under five and a half feet those back seats are livable.
Lol I love how all others compare the ZDX to the Toyota Land Cruiser, it shows that people think nothing more of the Acura ZDX but equivalent to a Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai etc.
@KennyboyGM I suggest you search up the Acura TL sh-awd, the Acura MDX, the Acura RL, and the Acura ZDX plus RDX. Pea head, it's entertaining to see people like you who don't know at all what they are saying. Do some research first next time.
I feel that this car is priced right, a comparable 2010 fx35 is 56k and that doesn't have the adaptive/adjustable suspension with shift paddles that the fx50s has which is about 65k (but it does have a nice v8 :) many people will go for the mdx which is cheaper and acura expects the zdx to be a low production car with about 6000 units sold per year.
@tom11zz884 Acura/Honda cars are based on fwd platforms. Fwd can be modify to accommodate a small differential on the rear axle. But its a glorified fwd car. BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac, Infiniti, Audi, have all/most rwd platforms.
i've seen three so far in New York City, it looks better than in videos and pictures, but the grill makes th front look a bit weird. the backand the side is really cool
I know Bimmers are expensive. that is why both of mine are over 10 years old. My 3rd car is a geo metro that I take to work every day. It is hard to beat 48 mpg hwy.
It would be an okay SUV if it was more like $35-40K. For $56K you can buy an Infinity FX50 with a V8, almost 400 horsepower, and 7 speed transmission plus a super roomy rear seat and cargo area. Just the front end on this thing is a bad. The lower bumper area looks like a 1960s Pontiac front end. The glass and roof lines are nice and different.
@Johncarson9113 Acura is definetly on par with infiniti and lexus although they may not have something like the LS. The cars they do have are very nice and if u have ever been in one you will know. The quality is great from the fit and finish to the materials used, all feels of high quality. BTW you don't think many of the infiniti interiors are just powered up nissans too. All that matters is that it looks good and feels good which it is.
Hey Joe....How bout instead of constantly comparing it to the RDX, why don't you reviews the car on the type of people and category this car fits into. When people buy this car, they won't expect or need a ton of cargo and might not need to haul many people. Next time you do any review of a car, play on its fortes instead of only naming everything bad about it.
@JediFarce I agree! 16/20 mpg from a 3.7 liter 270torque NA engine doesn't impress me at all. now, if they put a 4.8L twin turbo like in the BMW....Then we're talking. But one has to get past he hideous buck tooth design of Acura first.....:X
In terms of style it's great.. Great cabin, but then again it is an Acura.. The price is stupid as hell. If it started at 43 grand it would make sense. At 50 something K smh that's crazy
That's cheaper than an Audi q7. I like it very much but...... the Interior for passenger isn't that good. The engine is Legit though. I don't really care about the design, I mostly focus on The cars that has good interiors and good engines :D. Still very Legit for a 2010 vehicle.
yep this thing is pretty pointless...only thing i like is the the center console...its really cool...the look are ok, i could see myself driving one...also, i think this is the best i have the the "shiled" grill look on any of their models....all in all...the price is too much for only 300hp

The new TL design is gross. The ZDX was designed by a chick I think. Put a twin turbo system on the ZDX and black out all the chrome especially that front grill and it would probably make sense.

I seen the ZDX in California and it look shitty. Honda try to be BMW for once and fails hards. I rather pay more for the X6 then this piece of shit that can't even fit you in the rear seats.

This is one ugly car. Acura isnt even a presitgious car for the price of the ZDX. For that price i rather buy an Infiniti FX50 or a BMW X6. Im sure honda are good quality cars but Acura is so convinced they are on par with Lexus, Infiniti, BMW, Mercedes and Audi that they think they can constitute giving a car a 53K price tag. The dash is all Honda just powdered a little here and there, performance is weak, and the design is stale and boring. They lack luxury and design where is the coupe/conv?

I couldn't justify paying $60,000 for it, that is stupidly crazy. It should be $40,000 max!
Silly. The Crosstour and ZDX are related. The ZDX is based upon the MDX, that is based on the Pilot, the Pilot is based on the Odyssey, the Odyssey is based on the Accord. The crosstour is based upon the accord. HA
ACURA has been failing so bad. The only car I like from their new line is the TSX...only cuz they finally got their heads out of their asses and put a v6 engine in there and doesn't look bad as the new TL barf. The RDX is okay, but the turbo lag is incredibly annoying and obvious. I'd expect the engine to be silky smooth from a company like Acura. The ZDX however takes the cake for the worse car of this year. Whos bright idea was to make a practicality of a couype in a SUV.
