Hi, sorry for very late reply - i don't seem to get notified from RUclips - hopefully fixed now. Its quite possible you've fixed it, but for my z9 just setting HDMI in setup to auto worked first time. Your screen should have a list of video inputs it is compatible with - 1080p is pretty standard. One way to find out is connect everything up, go to settings for HDMI and set the output from each option on the list and apply - give the monitor some time (a few seconds) to detect the signal. do this for each option till you get a signal. Funnily enough, trying my Z8 with the monitor I had to manually set to 1080p - didn't work on auto.
Ahh I see what you mean, however for me, the reason I use a monitor is so I don't have to lie down on my front and crane my neck to look through the EVF as that would aggravate my neck arthritis, I could use the LCD opened out but i found it too small.
This is a very nice and detailed review.
Thank you very much for this upload.
All the best.
Many thanks, glad you found it useful. Cheers.
Thank you!

If you don't need a monitor/recorder, EVF (viewfinder by Z cam or Portkeys) might be the trick. Cheers
Thank you, will look into that.
