    My 95 Mustang Gt - I’m pretty sure the fans not working at all. Checked all the fuses and all good. Then I found that there was a recall on 95’s regarding the cooling fan.
    What’s ur opinion? Should I take it to a Ford dealer? Do you think they will charge me? Do I need relay “brain box”? And, should I set it up with a manual switch like you did?
    I appreciate your help. Thanks.

      A recall from 1995? Well. Call Ford and ask them if they'll honor it 23 years later. I have no brain box on mine. Wired it through the switch just like the video said off the battery. The fuse is not necessary if you use the exact same guage wire as I stated. 10 guage. I am going to do a follow-up video tomorrow. Yes. Do the manual switch. Much better than factory. In my opinion. You can do a thermostat controlled also if you like.

    You are misinforming people in the wiring you’re video is causing people to wire their fan in reverse which will cause overheating to occur faster. You can wire it up with the switch and have high and low speed you just have to use black wire as the ground as it normally is done unlike what you said in your video. I am using a 25 amp fuses and blowing fuses continuously running high speed wired up the way your video says to do...(also fan going in reverse) but with using the black wire as the ground wire that has fixed the fuse issue

      I was going to do a second follow up video about the original wiring but if read the comments I told the other viewers to make sure when wiring the fan its pulling air through the radiator. As far as blowing the fuses I addressed that in the comment above your stating it would blow more than a 40 amp fuse. I went and looked at the fuse box finally and the original fan is 60 amps! So I tested a 60 amp inline fuse and it blew that one! (Video to follow.). So that being said if you want to run both high and low speed try having no inline fuse and see how it works that's what I intend on doing. By the way my car is not my daily driver and it has AC and doesn't work. Hence high speed unless the AC is turned on should not be necessary. Good luck!

      The issue hes saying is the white wire is a signal wire not a ground. Using it as a ground dont work very long as yall have learned

    THE FUSE GOES ON THE HOT WIRE FROM THE SWITCH TO THE BATTERY, HOWEVER I DON'T RECOMMEND IT BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO USE A 30AMP FUSE ON LOW AND MORE THAN A 40AMP ON THE HIGH. I WANT TO CUT THE FUSE OUT PUT THE FAN ON HIGH AND SEE WITH THE DRAW AMPS ARE AND THE WIRE TEMPERATURE IS. IF IT DOESN'T GET TO HOT IM KEEPING THE FUSE OUT. IF YOU PUT THE FAN ON HIGH SPEED IT WILL EVEN BLOW A 40AMP FUSE!
    THANKS

      MUSTANG MADNESS when you finish up. Please post what the amp draw is. I have a 95 mustang gt and all worked fine til the original fan motor burnt up. Replaced it and now when my fan kicks on at an idle it kills the engine 90% of the time.

    • @dico_5.0
      @dico_5.0  6 лет назад +1

      I never tested the draw amps thus far. I will tell you I put a 40 amp fuse for the high speed and it blew it. remember the high speed is only used when the AC kicks on. The low speed should be fine all the time. I'm eventually just going to take the fuse out all together The low speed will not cause any wire overheating issues at all. After removing I will see how hot the wire gets if at all on the high speed. best of luck.

      why dont you wire in a reLAY? SO YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE AMPS OF THE FAN>? YOU NEED A RElay. and a fuse.

    Did you run the low side and the power wire for the switch to the same side?
    And if I have ac but dont use it, can I just not worry about even wiring it?

    • @raleigheads8736
      @raleigheads8736 6 лет назад

      I misunderstood you. The middle of the switch is the power wire which goes to the battery, the left side had 2 red wires? For the low? That's what confuses me.

    • @dico_5.0
      @dico_5.0  6 лет назад +1

      When you wire the fan make sure the fan is pulling air through the radiator. I ended up switching the neutral and low side wires around because it was pushing air not pulling. I dont see why you couldnt leave the high side off if you wanted

    • @raleigheads8736
      @raleigheads8736 6 лет назад

      @@dico_5.0 so from the switch I will have a power wire from the battery to the middle terminal on the switch, and then the low side fan wire going to the on terminal, what about the 3rd terminal that's on the switch? Will that just be left open since I wont be running the high side fan wire to it?
      Also, in your video you said you have 2 red wires going to the low side, on the switch the white wite is Is the power wire, that's the middle terminal of the switch, and the the 3rd terminal is the high side fan wire.
      Wasn't there only 3 wires coming off of the fan plug?

    I have a 97 and there's only black and red. I have no high speed. that's partly why it think mine runs a bit hotter.

      If you have ac should have two speeds. Kicks on high when ac and defrost is on

    • @Drift-Tastik

      It does have AC. But it is disconnected. I see some fans have a controller built on it. mine doesn't. almost seems aftermarket. that's probably why it's one speed

    I have a 94 Ford Mustang and my fan won’t turn on. Where can I find the fuse relay ?

    • @dico_5.0
      @dico_5.0  6 лет назад

      Baba Loo . The ccrm (constant contol relay module) is located next to the coolant bottle hanging by the radiator. It's the unit all the wires are connected to. As far as where you could buy one? I bought one on eBay.
