The spark plug thing is true. I had bought the iridium plugs for my 94' GT and all they did was make my car drop dead for no apparent reason. My Mustang mech found out after I went to him and said the same thing you did: get Motorcraft or Autolite plugs. These cars like nothing else. He also said certain parts for these cars are better off being oem Ford parts.
I agree with the harmonic balancer,and vacuum hoses. I disagree about the timing . Car ran quicker and faster in the 1/4 mile. With 15 degrees. Cold air intake and exhaust mods. 1.7 roller rockers . Did a lot of intake,throttle body mods, and modded the mass air sensor. Gears 4.10. Car ran 12.85 @ 106mph in the 1/4. On slicks.Passes smog too. Now I have rebuilt the engine with afr heads. The biggest issue is spark timing. I have the Ford motor sports extender box it helps alot. And there is spark retard on up shifts. The only way the computer knows your shifting is a switch on the clutch pedal. One disengages the cruise control, the order tell the computer to retard timing. Disconnect that and you'll gain power. My car now has 272,000 miles on it. Not much clear coat left to take care of your paint. Great cars, oh and runs great on NGK V groove plugs.
I have a 1995 gt coup with 5 speed t5 manual transmission all origional WHAT CAUSES RPM TO GO UP AND DOWN SLIGHT JURKING NO ENGINE LIGHT DOESNT SHUT OFF OR BRAKES DOWN STRAIGHTENS IT SELF OUT INTERMINT PROBLEM OTHER THAN THAT RUNS GOOD DRIVES GOOD I WOULD REALLY APPRICATE SOME TIPS THANK YOU
Ok mine is not starting it did to pull out garage battery good, alternator, starter seem good thought it was coil pack it's not getting spark could it be fuel filter I have never changed it 1 mechanic said it's not getting fuel but my fuel pump he said is fine what's your thoughts

I ran the hottest ngk at the time 8-9 years ago.... fr5 I think.....it ran great on ngk...then found a hotter autolite and it loved those!

My car is skipping and the check engine light is coming on and the ABS light. It wasn't doing any of that until after I had the clutch replaced

Where is the camshaft sensor located.
Ford gt mustang 5.0 #18 fuse keeps blowing. Do you perhaps know what to check first?

When driving shifting gears rpm up and down on its own
These will idle faster if you coast in neutral....untill you come to a full stop. It's part of the smog ,so car won't go rich on deceleration.
