The Bhagavad Gita cleared me up on humility and not to mix it up with passivity. The whole chapter on doing and undoing has inspired a whole new chapter of my life where I went to an Ashram last year to be a karma yogi. It was definitely illuminating and harder still was to apply those lessons into the real world. As for vulnerability- you have to choose your battles. That's how I understand it. You can't be vulnerable with everyone; you do have to learn to say "no", know your limits etc. But, true friends are priceless and with those you must even let yourself be ugly. Again, thank you for this conversation. I love learning from your processes. I'm having a mighty hard time ATM. Thank you.

JP is very sage, but for all his wisdom and intelligence, he seems (I emphasize the word "seems", because I don't know for sure) to suffer from a deep melancholy. I've rarely seen him smile, and even more rarely have seen him smile BIG. If I had to choose, I think I might choose ignorance with bliss versus deep understanding with a very somber outlook on the human condition. Fortunately, you don't have to choose between these two dichotomies.

Jordan might be a bit "outdated" regarding relationships and marriage in the "modern" era, but his concepts of being a solid human being hold true and mirror a lot of what I learned in the military decades ago. "Be the best you can be, make the world a better place for having you in it" will always hold true. Regardless of what the world tells you what is "right", stand strong and never sacrifice your morals/ethics. Matt seems like the kind of guy I could sit beside a campfire with, sipping whisky, and have hours of damned good conversation. Always liked that guy, he just radiates "salt of the earth" without any pretension and hubris.

Jesus Christ! Your hate against things you don't even know that well and/or understand will destroy you. Just because YOU don't have the wisdom to exercise humanism on flawed individuals, such as Trump (or anyone else - because nobody's perfect anyway), doesn't mean that JP is tuned into the same hateful, full of labels, frequency.
Step outside your stereotypical thinking and tap into your humanism, if there's anything left in there, that is.
Ideologies tend to deplete that humanist reservoir pretty fast! J
ust question yourself if you'd like JP more if he defended Biden (another DEEPLY flawed person) and, if so, you'd just revealed your inconsistency to yourself. It should be insightful. Chances are you are not capable of such introspection but, I hope, some other reader of this comment is and gets the message.
