Great video! How do I separate the audio in OBS on my streaming PC? Everything (game, discord, music, mic) is coming in through the same channel via the LINE IN.

Hey that’s awesome to hear! You will love the mini. I actually just got a regular GOXLR and I’m going to do another video for a 2PC, 2 GOXLR setup :) should be a good time.

I have seen people set it up to where the goXLR mini is plugged into the gaming pc, but other people also have put it in the streaming pc and used an optical cable for audio, would having the goxlr plugged into the gaming pc be better? I am not sure which way to go!
@@bakedlake2164 Yeah I am using a laptop as a streaming pc and can not get the audio to go from streaming pc to my gaming PC for alerts or anything so I am still trying methods for line in and out adapters for the laptop
How can i separate the audio in obs? I didnt find any tutorial from this specific part. I hope u can help me :) (sry for my eng...) Great vid btw :)
This can be done, but it's going to require that you set your GoXLR up the opposite way that I advised. You will have to have your GoXLR plugged in to your streaming PC instead of Gaming PC. Only then will OBS be able to recognize all of the separate channels instead of just the broadcast mix coming from the line in. Sounds like I should make a video about that - you aren't the only one who has had this question!
Thank you so much! I've a question. I want to play music in my stream. I' ve a lot of track buyed in beatport legally. My question is: i must put all my track in streaming pc SSD, and play in the same pc right?? Not into my gaming pc right?? Same if one day i want to use spotify..alwais in my streaming pc right??? Thank you so much again!!!
If you want to separate your music track in the VOD, you will want to put the GoXLR on the Stream PC. If not, you can run music from the Game PC via the Line Out/Line In
Hi, I came to your tutorial after a lot of research, I have a GO XLR Mini, but I have a laptop for streaming and a computer for gaming. Are the steps the same? I don't have line out or line in on the laptop, do I need a sound card with line in output?
The steps would be the same I’d think. You could just hook up the GOXLR to the streaming laptop, but then you may have a problem with in-game mic. Do you have a USB mic and a headset with a mic? Because that might be doable.
I am completely ignorant to these things. I have a DAC/AMP Stack for my PC. The DAC is plugged into my PC using a digital audio cable, with RCA for speakers, 1/4 headphones, and a USB Yeti Mic. Would plugging the GoXLR mini into my PC using USB control all of that, or would I have to route it through somehow? My goal is 2 PC setup.
Hey. This video is a bit old but maybe i'll get an answer for it. So my problem is that i don't have 2 pc's just only one, can i do this while using a laptop and a pc?
Hello, I heard that you have the artic nova pro and I would like to know if with that configuration you can use the sonar app to use 100% of the headphones and if so, to which pc should you connect the mixamp? Thanks for your answer
Hey there. Honestly, I never used the Sonar app with this configuration. Didn't really feel necessary. However, I don't think it would cause any issues as long as the routing wasn't compromised.
@@CodyRiffs I think I just sorted it 😂 got it coming through now. It’s taken me so so long and I appreciate the speed you got back to me. You made me double check all my sound stuff another time and I did something and now it works haha
Can this be achieved while using a laptop as a streaming pc? Would I need a Y jack with mic support? Also, what do I set the streaming PC audio devices as?
It depends on the laptop. If it has an audio input, then yes it should work the same. You wouldn’t need to set the streaming PC audio devices necessarily. You’d really only care about setting your audio to “line in” in OBS so you can hear the mix coming from the GoXLR.
question, my 2nd pc is an msi stealth gs77 gaming laptop and only has 1 aux, how would i integrate that as a stream pc with the goxlr mini as there only 1 auz on it if its even possible
Hey, I have a question! First of, thank you for your video! I want to connect my go xlr to the STREAMING PC and route the audio from the gaming PC (so the contrary of what you did, in a way) Is that possible ? I'm assuming I just have to switch the line in/out of what you did ? Thanks for your help!
Definitely possible, some would actually prefer it that way. But you should just be able to connect the the GoXLR to the streaming PC, then get an audio cable from the Line Out of the Gaming PC to go into the Line In on your GoXLR and you'd just control the game volume from that input.
did everything right, i hear audio from both pc's, only problem is it only picks up my streaming pc audio on obs and not my gaming pc audio, and the only 2 outputs i have on my streaming pc/obs are "Speakers (High Def Audio Device)" and "Digital audioo (S/PDIF). Another thing is no matter what audio device i chose on my streaming pc the audio from the gaming pc works (on my headset) anything will help!
I got it all working and its setup exactly the same as in the video except the audio from my second pc is only playing through my right ear on the headset and I can't find anything on how to fix this, was hoping someone might know or be able to help?
@@CodyRiffs I do an the alerts still do not seem to be coming back from the streaming pc. I see the levels bouncing in OBS, but the audio does not reach my headset... Im so confused! Please help! lol
What happens if you have a wireless headset receiver? like the Astro A50s Wireless. Right now its connected to my gaming pc via usb. Im using a dual pc setup. Currently using voicemeter but I just ordered a mini so im preparing myself
I have a question. I have dual pc and currently have my goxlr just hooked up to my stream pc because when I route the aux cables to and from the stream pc they don't pick up the cable as if they aren't plugged in. Do you know what might be causing this issue. I've used it just on my stream pc for about a year now and it works good but I have to have discord on my stream pc and I have to use a separate mic for my game pc if I want to use game chat. Kinda annoying.
Hmmm. You are saying the line in/out doesn’t seem to work? Just verifying that you know for sure that you have everything properly routed in the software as well?
@@CodyRiffs yes sir. I'm going to try and set it up the proper way again tonight. Fairly certain my stream pc motherboard isn't recognizing the cables properly.
the audio sounds super washed out when I record a video. also my laptop (streaming pc) doesnt have a line in option in obs, the only option there is that works is "microphone (realtek(R) audio codec with THX spatial audio)” my laptop has separate in/out ports. I don’t have a ground loop isolator tho, could that be causing the problem ?
So I have it set up just like you said but my audio when I stream or record is washed out or low quality sounding? Almost sounds like you’re under water? Could this be from the ground loop isolator?
Thank you for the video. So i Have a GOXLR hooked to dual pcs and for some reason i am not getting alert sounds back to my headphones or in the actual stream any ideas? It is wired as described. I use Streamlabs OBS. I also have many other issues but ill start here lol
I don’t use SLOBS, but I know the program. I’ll do my best to help you. What troubleshooting have you done already? Have you confirmed that the master volume for alerts is not set to 0 on your Streamlabs dashboard? Are you able to hear other sounds coming from your streaming PC?
Unfortunately I don’t believe GoXLR’s are designed to work on Macs. The solution would be to just use it there and bring in game audio from the gaming PC line out to the line in on the GOXLR. Is there no audio input on the Mac? Only a headphone jack?
The isolator is to take away the interference coming from the PC back to the GOXLR. If you don’t have this, it’s possible and likely that you’ll hear a buzz in the audio. As for your second question, I think you mean what if you don’t have a wireless headset? If your headset is wired, you can simply plug them in to the headphone jack in the front of the GoXLR mini (or in the back of a regular GoXLR).
Yeah I don’t mess with SLOBS, but I’d think you’d be able to see it as an audio capture device assuming you have something going into the Line In and it is not Disabled in sound settings.
@@CodyRiffs so I got it figured out got all my mic audio working properly now just my headset I can’t hear a damn thing. I have astros a50s but my mix amp is different it’s a TXD amp gen 2 I believe and I follow the guides setup the right default settings in PC and still no luck the only way I can hear is if I set my headset as my output...
I connected the Go XLR Mini to the faking PC and the line in and out to the streaming pc but somehow I get the game audio of the gaming pc but not the notifications or alerts from my steaming pc. I checked the audio in the streaming pc and I Do not see 1 labeled “line in”…. Help pls…. Thank you
Hello, I connected everything as shown in the video. I have no game sound in OBS on my streaming PC. Despite the filter, my microphone records everything I type in OBS, can someone help me?
does this apply when u wanna maintain split audio tracks seperating discord, music etc to obs on the streaming pc? or would u have to run those items on the streaming pc not the gaming rig and just have a single line back to headset?
I connected my go xlr like this But i still cant hear nothing from my streaming pc like (alerts, music, notifikations.) into my headphones i can only hear my sound from my gaming computer into my headphones
I feel like a total idiot for asking this but here goes. I’m new to dual pc streaming and I have the xlr mini and I hooked all the cables up like the video said to (I just purchased the ground loop isolator because I didn’t know I needed it so that’s not here yet) but I’m completely lost on one thing. Which pc do I use the app on?! Is it the streaming pc or the gaming pc? On my streaming pc there is no line in available for the mic section. It only says the legato line or the voice meter banana line I’m so confused. Second, if I have this all set up and I open streamlabs obs on my streaming pc how can I separate all the audio on there? I have a capture card and I’m so lost. Please help me
My problem is that I can hear my stream alerts coming from my streaming pc but the stream doesn’t hear them if I don’t put the « desktop audio » on streamlabs (but if I do that all the sounds get an echo)
this video didn't help out much I am still having problems with the desktop audio not showing on my stream pc through the line out but the line in shows please help me fix it
I'm having an issue where even though i have a ground loop isolator plugged into my line in on my goxlr im still getting a buzzing noise when i choose the line in routing on the goxlr for the headphones any idea of what else could be causing it? i run a steelseries pro wireless as well and have to use a ground loop isolator for my headphone jack on the goxlr from the receiver box of the pro wireless line in.
So you will have an aux cable that will go out of the streaming PC into one side of the ground loop noise isolator. Then there will be another aux cable coming out of the other side of the ground loop noise isolator that will go into the GoXLR. The one I bought came with a small aux cable already so it's not unnecessarily messy. Does that make sense? Hope that helps!
OLá, por favor, no OBS como separo o áudio em 2 faixas sendo uma do sistema jogo e a outra do microfone, para que eu consiga editar as duas faixais de áudio separadas ???
I have laptop and just bought a custom pc and plan to use the laptop for streaming which I already do for my console. I was looking at the go xlr mini every video I seen has said something about line in but my legion 5 does not have that unfortunately was wondering if there was a way around this. I have a blue yet use mic. it's kind of frustrating I play competitive games so I need my in game chat and mic to work properly for streaming.
@@jampriigaming YES I use my wireless headset on my gaming pc and use sound capture to send my in game audio and chat from pc to capture card and use my headset as an input device so I can still talk to my teammates. What if your Pc doesn’t have anything labeled line in and you just have two jacks labeled mic? I have one line out and one optical out and two mic jacks. Can you help me?
hmm the newest console I own is an Xbox One (the original). But I'll look into the newest ones and see if I can do a short video for that setup as well!
@@CodyRiffs ok got it thank you one more thing I see on streamlabs on my other pc and that it’s picking up my game audio/ desktop audio but I can’t hear alerts or anything from my stream pc
Can you hear anything from your stream PC? Like a video on YT? If not, you might not have the line in/line out routed properly in the GOXLR app. If you can, you might not have your alert browser source setup for monitoring In OBS.
I use the artic pro headset for my game pc and to talk in games. I use the hyperx quadcast for my stream pc and to talk to my chat. When i plug my headset into the goxlr mini will i still be able to use that headset to talk to people in game with the mic thats built into it?
That sounds like it would be possible as long as your Arctis Pro receiver is plugged into your gaming pc. You would just assign the headset mic as your communication device on the Game PC. I might try that configuration and do a video on it if it works.
Yup, it will work the the GOXLR. You will just want to make sure you have a ground loop noise isolator. $15 on Amazon. Otherwise you might get some interference.

@@bakedlake2164 Yeah I am using a laptop as a streaming pc and can not get the audio to go from streaming pc to my gaming PC for alerts or anything so I am still trying methods for line in and out adapters for the laptop
How can i separate the audio in obs? (I did the same settings as you and i have an 2 pc setup too like you)
I mean when i record my stream and after it i wanna separate the mic sound from the music sound.
@@CodyRiffs Thats gonna be awesome! Thank You man :)
does the goxlr mini have a different software cause the software i downloaded doesnt detect my goxlr mini

If not, you can run music from the Game PC via the Line Out/Line In
Weird question but have you tried plugging a console with the 2 pc goxlr setup
However, I don't think it would cause any issues as long as the routing wasn't compromised.
how would I set up my gaming pc with the streaming pc and go xlr
Are you using the mic on the headset? I’m trying to get my a50s set up
No - that's what the XLR Mic + GoXLR is for!
ise use a ground loop iso, and i still get some feed
Hey man so I’m not getting the “line in” option when I set this up. Any ideas? Thank you
Not getting it where? In the GOXLR software or on your computer?
@@CodyRiffs Sorry my bad! So I’m not seeing it in OBS on my streaming PC
Hmm. I wonder if maybe that audio source is disabled? Can you hear everything from both PC’s outside of OBS?
@@CodyRiffs I think I just sorted it 😂 got it coming through now. It’s taken me so so long and I appreciate the speed you got back to me. You made me double check all my sound stuff another time and I did something and now it works haha
Hah sometimes it’s the simple stuff! Audio is always a pain 😂
so I have eberything setup the way you do but the audio going into my stream pc is super quiet and choppy. any suggestions?
Can this be achieved while using a laptop as a streaming pc? Would I need a Y jack with mic support? Also, what do I set the streaming PC audio devices as?
It depends on the laptop. If it has an audio input, then yes it should work the same. You wouldn’t need to set the streaming PC audio devices necessarily. You’d really only care about setting your audio to “line in” in OBS so you can hear the mix coming from the GoXLR.
How would I do this with the astro A50s on a dual PC goxlr set up?
Hi bro how u doin if we do this step we can speak and listening on both pc?
question, my 2nd pc is an msi stealth gs77 gaming laptop and only has 1 aux, how would i integrate that as a stream pc with the goxlr mini as there only 1 auz on it if its even possible
Hey, I have a question!
First of, thank you for your video!
I want to connect my go xlr to the STREAMING PC and route the audio from the gaming PC (so the contrary of what you did, in a way)
Is that possible ?
I'm assuming I just have to switch the line in/out of what you did ?
Thanks for your help!
Definitely possible, some would actually prefer it that way. But you should just be able to connect the the GoXLR to the streaming PC, then get an audio cable from the Line Out of the Gaming PC to go into the Line In on your GoXLR and you'd just control the game volume from that input.
You wouldn't really need the line out from the GoXLR to route anywhere I suppose lol.
@@CodyRiffs Thank you!
I have a random querstion, why not using the "in" of elgato capture card ? (HD60+s)
@@mrdoudrocks2705 not Cody, but yeah this should work. His video on the Elgato Wave XLR talks about using the capture card approach.
did everything right, i hear audio from both pc's, only problem is it only picks up my streaming pc audio on obs and not my gaming pc audio, and the only 2 outputs i have on my streaming pc/obs are "Speakers (High Def Audio Device)" and "Digital audioo (S/PDIF). Another thing is no matter what audio device i chose on my streaming pc the audio from the gaming pc works (on my headset) anything will help!
Are you using the Mic/Aux to choose your audio? You’d want “Line In”. Just make sure you aren’t using desktop audio.
do I put the GOXLR app on my streaming pc or my gaming one? I currently have it on gaming one. or does it need to be on both?
You just need the app for whichever PC you have it plugged into.
gd video my dude could i use ur music for my streams
for sure
I got it all working and its setup exactly the same as in the video except the audio from my second pc is only playing through my right ear on the headset and I can't find anything on how to fix this, was hoping someone might know or be able to help?

So I have done all of this yet I still don't hear my alerts in my headphones. I need help please
Do you have your alerts setup for Monitor and Output in advanced audio settings in OBS?
@@CodyRiffs I do an the alerts still do not seem to be coming back from the streaming pc. I see the levels bouncing in OBS, but the audio does not reach my headset... Im so confused! Please help! lol
What happens if you have a wireless headset receiver? like the Astro A50s Wireless. Right now its connected to my gaming pc via usb. Im using a dual pc setup. Currently using voicemeter but I just ordered a mini so im preparing myself
I talk about this at 1:23 - should go from GOXLR headphone jack to line in on the wireless receiver
both aux cabels go in the streaming pc ?
I wouldn’t think so. Do you have an example of the audio I could hear? Is it everything sounds washed out or just your mic?
Thank you for the video. So i Have a GOXLR hooked to dual pcs and for some reason i am not getting alert sounds back to my headphones or in the actual stream any ideas? It is wired as described. I use Streamlabs OBS. I also have many other issues but ill start here lol
I don’t use SLOBS, but I know the program. I’ll do my best to help you. What troubleshooting have you done already? Have you confirmed that the master volume for alerts is not set to 0 on your Streamlabs dashboard? Are you able to hear other sounds coming from your streaming PC?
So my streaming pc is a Mac and I only have one audio jack, what do I do ?
Unfortunately I don’t believe GoXLR’s are designed to work on Macs. The solution would be to just use it there and bring in game audio from the gaming PC line out to the line in on the GOXLR. Is there no audio input on the Mac? Only a headphone jack?
why do you need the isolater? what if you dont have a wireless mic
@@CodyRiffs you the best thanks brother
No problem Dylan!
im subbing thanks so much.
Much appreciated ❤️
I have only one audio jack on my streaming laptop help
How to get the sound alerts bro? You didn’t explain that
Your sound alerts should be coming back to you through OBS on your streaming PC. Your stream PC audio would go line out to line in on the GOXLR
I don’t see line in for an option on SLABS
Yeah I don’t mess with SLOBS, but I’d think you’d be able to see it as an audio capture device assuming you have something going into the Line In and it is not Disabled in sound settings.
@@CodyRiffs so I got it figured out got all my mic audio working properly now just my headset I can’t hear a damn thing. why do we plug both cables in the streaming pc? i don't get it
Hello, I connected everything as shown in the video. I have no game sound in OBS on my streaming PC. Despite the filter, my microphone records everything I type in OBS, can someone help me?
hey can i ask you does the ps5 mice bluetooth work with this?
hey i really need your help i have bought everything and still have a grounding noise on my stream even with noise isolator ! Help
does this apply when u wanna maintain split audio tracks seperating discord, music etc to obs on the streaming pc? or would u have to run those items on the streaming pc not the gaming rig and just have a single line back to headset?
No. You would need to plug 🔌 in the Goxlr to streaming PC instead to split all audio. Which is wayyyyy better
I connected my go xlr like this But i still cant hear nothing from my streaming pc like (alerts, music, notifikations.) into my headphones i can only hear my sound from my gaming computer into my headphones
I forgot to say that i also have el gato hds +
Please help me
I can’t get line in to show up in obs. Any ideas?
My problem is that I can hear my stream alerts coming from my streaming pc but the stream doesn’t hear them if I don’t put the « desktop audio » on streamlabs (but if I do that all the sounds get an echo)
Do you plug the go xlr to your stream pc or gaming pc
he tells you gaming pc
Should the ground loop be plugged into the pc or into the goxlr?
it shoudl be between the streaming pc and the line in of the goxlr
this video didn't help out much I am still having problems with the desktop audio not showing on my stream pc through the line out but the line in shows please help me fix it
either im not doing something right or this still not working for me
I'm having an issue where even though i have a ground loop isolator plugged into my line in on my goxlr im still getting a buzzing noise when i choose the line in routing on the goxlr for the headphones any idea of what else could be causing it? i run a steelseries pro wireless as well and have to use a ground loop isolator for my headphone jack on the goxlr from the receiver box of the pro wireless line in.
How about if you don’t have wireless headset receiver? My logitechset I only put a usb in one of the ports and it connects?
Does your headset receiver have a line in? If so, you'd go from the headphone port on the GoXLR to the line in of your headset.
Legend! Thanks for the tips! Everything i needed in less than two minutes!
No problem!
Where does the ground loop noise isolator connect into? The streaming pc or the goxlr mini? Thanks!
@@CodyRiffs perfect! Makes sense. Thanks brotha!

what about USB microphones
You can use a USB mic with the GoXLR
@@CodyRiffs aux cord on mic to aux port on the front of it?

@@CodyRiffs ok got it thank you one more thing I see on streamlabs on my other pc and that it’s picking up my game audio/ desktop audio but I can’t hear alerts or anything from my stream pc
Can you hear anything from your stream PC? Like a video on YT? If not, you might not have the line in/line out routed properly in the GOXLR app. If you can, you might not have your alert browser source setup for monitoring In OBS.
@@CodyRiffs yea I tried a yt vid I can’t hear anything from my stream pc idk why
You have your line out going from stream PC to line in on game PC with the routing checked in the GOXLR app?
I use the artic pro headset for my game pc and to talk in games. I use the hyperx quadcast for my stream pc and to talk to my chat. When i plug my headset into the goxlr mini will i still be able to use that headset to talk to people in game with the mic thats built into it?
That sounds like it would be possible as long as your Arctis Pro receiver is plugged into your gaming pc. You would just assign the headset mic as your communication device on the Game PC. I might try that configuration and do a video on it if it works.
would the hyperx quadcast mic be able to work with the goXLR considering it’s usb instead of a stereo 3.5mm cable
Yup, it will work the the GOXLR. You will just want to make sure you have a ground loop noise isolator. $15 on Amazon. Otherwise you might get some interference.
Its funny when someone makes a video and there whole comments is full of people having issues doing it that way and they just hide and dont reply
I’ve responded the same issues over and over. I’ve had discord sessions. Most people having issues either didn’t fully follow the instructions or had the wrong equipment. This isn’t my day job and I don’t have time to respond to every comment. I do have time to respond to BS comments about my character though.
