If anyone else happens to come by this video and was also having trouble with choppy/glichy audio, try this. Instead of WDM for the audio duplicates, select the MME one. This removed all chopiness from the steamed PC audio, and also fixed an issue with RUclips failing to render/play videos while Voicemeeter was active. My laptop that I'm streaming audio from to my PC is even on WiFi and works great! Just try changing the A1 sources until it comes through clear!

The only thing that made this more complicated than it need to be, for me at least was labeling the pcs. Gaming PC and Stream PC would be far more clear than PC1 and PC2. Maybe i missed when you spelled out which was which, but for me, being unclear on the 2 made this far more complicated.
Yeah sorry but I though it was obvious that the first was the gaming PC. Like it would hardly make sense to play on the inferior secondary PC but I got that comment a lot so yeah...

Protip: if you own an audio interface (e.g. Focusrite Scarlett, Presonus Audiobox, etc.) you may see the option to use ASIO as the default output driver. This is extremely useful if you want to monitor your own voice through VoiceMeeter as ASIO drivers can be run at really low buffer sizes. In general, any modern PC should ve able to get away with 192 - 256 samples at 48kHz which roughly translates to 10-12 milliseconds give or take a few extra for safety overhead. It should be noted, if you run your samplerate higher than 48kHz, you should double or quadruple your buffersize accordingly (48kHz at 256 samples, 96kHz at 512 samples, and so on), else you might get crakling audio.
You have a new sub right here! I was trying so hard to send the audio of my gaming pc to another little one thats manages my hires dac and I didnt want to conect my electrical noisy pc to the little one. This program is so cool. Now I can watch youtube on my first pc and listen in my hifi gear. Of course I wouldnt use this to listen my games; but for casual things, is a master piece.
if not working, sound does not transfer to another pc. try fix it just by close both app and then open again, walla it working. Thank, no BS on your tutorial, really helpful.
Hi i am a complete newbie when it comes to this voicemeter. Your a legend with your video I have my audio on both PC's amazing. Thanks for the help! liked and subscribed!!
Greatly appreciated that you made this video, you saved me money by using this software instead of trying a different way. This was simple, easy, and works perfectly. THANK YOU!
I’m receiving crackling/robotic audio from pc #2. All voice meeter vban and main settings are set to the correct sample rate. Double checked all windows sound control panel’s sample rates too. Pc #1 is fine though
Not easy to understand 😉🤔 I send gaming sound via hdmi to streaming pc and now I want Alert sound back to gaming pc. Oh and I use when not streaming a Presonus Revelator IO24. Would that work? I will use the IO24 if streaming pc is of. You left important question: what if you use XLR mic? Delay or no sound delay?
Thanks for making an incredible guide! I learned a lot. Voicemeeter continues to amaze me, I've seen these options before and now I know how to utilize them if need be 👍🏻
Didn't test for delay but I guess there is minimal delay preset, so you probably don't want to listen to the streamed audio and watch the original at the same time
Great video. Is there a delay when you setting this up? I am trying to use my wireless headset for both computers. But I just want to make sure if there is no delay.
Thanks for your guide . Can you tell me how to make this setup in different platforms . I have a Linux PC and a Windows 10. But unfortunately VoiceMeeter is only available in windows.
Fantastic video. Streamingsound works fine. The only issue I have left is the discord. I sound like a robot and the sounds lags. What is the last thing I've been missing? Thank you in advance
hey, amazing video, i've searched far and beyond for easy ways to deal with audio on a dual pc setup.. but i wanted to understand better how to achieve the ethernet connection, i dont know anything about lan.. Is it achieved by simply connecting an ethernet cable from one pc motherboard to the other?
Thank you for the video. Just a question, I just want my laptop to handle mic and discord, and I want that audio sent to my gaming PC. Is it the same thing on the first part of your video?
I want to send audio from my streaming pc to my gaming pc, like watching movies or youtube while playing. Does this setup do that or is it just from gaming pc to streaming pc? Also thanks for the guide!
Followed step by step, cannot get my second pc to send audio to my main pc. Everything LOOKS fine according to the steps in the video, but my 2nd pc is just playing out of the speakers of itself. Changed the windows audio settings and everything.
Thank you very much for your video!! I have a new gaming PC and no speakers yet, so I've used Voicemeeter to stream its audio to my notebook's speakers. Really helpful man, I see and really appreciate your hard work! But unluckily on my side, everything goes perfect until 7:26, as my streaming pc won't detect any incoming streams:( I tried to reboot both the PCs and both the softwares but I got in the same situation again...you got any tip on this?

The video and explanation is perfect, everything works fine here. I have one question, my headset is USB, and I control the volume bar from taskbar, I notice that with VM it's 100% volume, and if you drag it, don't lower the windows volume, is there some solution?
So I'm slightly confused about something. I got this all working and everything but here's the thing. What if I use Discord on Gaming PC and I want my Gaming audio and Mic Audio for the stream sent to the stream PC? Like, I get the whole receiving sound from Stream PC to hear everything but how is my Audio setup so that my Stream PC receives my Main PC Audio and Mic for the stream?

Yes I did. This is still the best video I’ve found that explains how to VBAN everything. I think I had an extra A1 channel enabled and had to toggle some mutes around. I use VM Banana, but all these settings apply
How can i stop the audio from coming from my laptop speakers and going to my main PC? I have this setup to stream audio from my laptop to my main PC so I can listen to YT videos without having to have one earcup off. However, my audio still is being played on the laptop itself which I don't want it to. I tried turning the volume down, but that didn't work. Also, speaking of volume, how do I change the volume of voicemeeter on my laptop using regular volume keys? Volume keys don't seem to work for me
So on my Streamlabs OBS, I am still not getting audio from my game. I can hear Discord from my gaming PC to my streaming PC but no sound from games like WoW for example. What am I missing?
I want to send audio from my microphone from PC 1 to PC 2, and hear audio from both PC 1 and PC 2 on the same headset. I've tried your guide and PC 2 keeps getting audio from the microphone and the audio from music/youtube etc sent back into the microphone.
i have my mic connected to my gaming pc, I connected that to my streaming pc and I am able to hear it when i’m streaming, however my game audio doesn’t play, I can hear it on the streaming of however it won’t connect to my streamlabs
Hey I’m not sure if you can help me one step further by integrating a goxlr into the setup. Right now I use a goxlr to broadcast the gaming pc and mic to the streaming pc but I want to separate the mic audio out of the mix so that with later recording it can be muted independently. I think this solution would work if I could figure out how to integrate the goxlr as well
