You ruined my whole day by only giving me 2 minutes… But the fact that you came back in a timely manner and gave me ANOTHER TWO MINUTES without delay puts you among a short list of dudes that can satisfy me. For this, I commend you 😎
For stream alerts 3.5mm head phone to 3.5mm. From the streaming pc (line out) to the Gaming Pc (line in) On the gaming Pc Check listen to under recording tab and send it to your headset :)
I installed voicemeter on streaming banana on streaming pc and vban receptor on the gaming pc so I can here the alerts coming in OBS on the streaming pc in my headphone on my gaming pc. No cable needed. No second obs on gaming pc.
I have a similar setup with the wave 3 (wave connected to game pc and routing the audio to stream pc I'm using a Steelseries arctis pro wireless. What I did to make the alerts sounds work on the steelseries headset is to plug the line out from my stream pc to the line in on my steelseries wireless docking thing. after that I changed the source from steelseries from PC to aux, this makes it possible to hear both pc audio
best way I have figured how to get alerts on the game PC is get a ground loop isolator and aux cable plug it into the stream PCs sound card and then plug the other end into the game PCs line in and then go to the sound control panel and make the line in listen on a wave link output . I actually have my obs set to only output sound so it go to the sound card but it does not include any of it on its own in the stream/recording.. that comes back through wave link and very little to no delay as its mostly hardware solution. you can also do the reverse to send wave link audio also instead of using the capture card.. or once they add more sub mixes would be able to send a completely different mix to OBS for recording purposes or to use the Twitch Vod feature in OBS. but thats only after they add more sub mixes.
I was never able to get the game sound to act right, but I found that if I just skip the part of your video where you added the capture card to the game input and just put the capture card into the input, the audio works.
So i did everything what you said and the buzzy and cringe audio i was getting is solved for now (the reason) don't use Nvidia Noise removal, it somehow disturbs the audio, but i haven't tried with wave 3, only with DX which i think works excellent so far. The cool part of adding the Game link to audio source is that you can control it without any problem and if you have a Stream Deck + then your life can't be more easier. Except the audio for your game chat in the gaming PC doesn't work by using the Step 2, probably because i need a AUX cable. other than that all works perfectly. thanks for the video.
Do you have a Wave XLR or thinking about getting one, but want to look into using it for a Dual PC Setup? Let me know what you think about these configurations! It's definitely not built for 2PC's, but I think it's do-able :)
I am currently using a two PC setup. Gaming PC & Stream PC. Steam PC has an Elgato 4K MK2 card input from the RTX 3080 HDMI out on the gaming PC. I currently do not have a hardware mixer and currently am using a Razer USB MIC with arm. I share your semi-hatred with Voicemeeter as I am currently running Voicemeeter on both PC's using VBAN over the network to separate my audio channels (Alerts from Steam PC, Game audio to Stream PC, Mic audio to Stream PC, Discord audio to Stream PC). It was a huge pain in the ass to setup but once I got it working I backed up the voicemeeter config on both systems so if there's ever an issue i can reimport the config file on either PC. This tends to work day to day as long as there's no major update completely ruining the settings. Voicemeeter works well when it "works" and is properly configured. But holy hell when it's having a bad day it shits the bed. Seriously considering getting a mixer such as the Wave XLR as I dont want to spend the money on a GO XLR as those are $500+. This video gives me hope. Thank you.
Thank you for the comment! This is the most difficult aspect but one thing I would suggest trying is using VoiceMeeter to send your mic back to the Gaming PC. But honestly, I’d just do config-1 at the point.
@@CodyRiffs If possible I want to avoid any other software beside the Games on my Gaming PC, because I want the most stable and efficient system. The only reason I setup 2nd PC for streaming is to not have OBS on my gaming PC... Now with this setup I have to install OBS on gaming PC as well... Nah, this is not for me. Thank you so muchfor saving me timeand money!!!
Thank you, only thing I’m going to have to figure out is how to get Spotify to work the way I do on 1 pc setup. I like to have Spotify playing for me and the stream and not save to the vod so I have to have it separate from the wave link. Can you send multiple audios through the capture card somehow?
will this work for my quadcast mic? i am having so much trouble with 2pc setup using voice meter banana with all the audio delays latency etc when streaming.
Was just wondering if you have found a solution on the audio for the gaming computer? It worked fine until about a week ago and now I can't get any alerts or anything like I use to? I use a laptop as my streaming pc.
Does this set up allows you to lower the stream audio whike keeping what you hear loud? On my current setup, both the stream audio and gameplay audio are the same.
When you were setting up the audio on your gaming PC when you plugged in the HDMI from the graphics card to the elgato 4K 60 pro MK2 why didn't you just use avocado Nvidia high definition audio
I have my Wave XLR since 2 todays. You need a scene source. I choose the captue card but then I have sound because of hdmi. Why do you select extra audio source in settings? And My mates hear themselves in discord. I make something wrong 🤔
Is anyone having any issues with the sound coming through as really muffled? I can't figure out what's causing it and I've followed this tutorial as best as I could with the Wave XLR and all audio going to my streaming PC sounds extremely muffled and muddy for some reason.
main reason can be because you need a line out cable male to male connected in your gaming PC to your streaming PC. This is if you use either the Wave 3 or the DX. I have the Wave 3 and i tried everything... even Elgato's tutorial about controlling all audios in OBS using the Wake link streaming and the audio and the microphone goes nuts, i don't know exactly what's the cause.
dude you can just plug everything through the streaming pc for me i use a capture for the audio and video . i use the 4k 60 pro mk.2 card then i hook my wave xlr too my streaming obs is in my streaming thus i record from it why does it has too be hooked up too the gaming pc makes no sense ?
So I’ve got a question, Im using a pc and a laptop as a dual stream setup. I got the elgato hd60 setup and that works flawlessly, but now I’m running into the issue where the audio won’t go through unless my gaming pc audio is set to elgato hd60 but because of that I get a audio delay of just about 1-2 seconds which won’t do good for me. So I don’t know what comes next from here, I need an xlr right and if so any recommendations that will work with a pc and a laptop?
