This camera specs are pretty good. I’m considering getting one as I like the hybrid camera aspect of it, with the new screen. You can shoot with viewfinder or screen, record with the screen flipped out or tilted and flipped to avoid the cables. Plus the video modes are pretty good.

I absolutely agree with you. I’m finding myself more and more reaching for the A7R5 versus my Sony A7S3 for a video and photo use. The only advantage S3 has over R5 is the capability of shooting in 12,800 (Sonys unofficial second native) ISO in s-log3 picture profile.

@@OlegKovalov Yes, that is very true. The low light capability on that camera is awesome. I have been getting great resuIts from the FX30 in low light but nothing like what the A7S3 or FX3 can do. I see the FX3 here in Thailand for $3,699, on a discount, that is with VAT/Taxes, which as a tourist, I can get the tax refunded. The A7RV is oddly priced higher, equivalent of $4,600 with taxes. In Singapore, it's $4251, again same tax situation as a tourist, which is a little more than tax I would pay in the US.
I bought some of my Nikon cameras in Hong Kong when I went there, as I could negotiate the price and there is no tax. Maybe I will wait and take a trip there to get it, if they have it priced better. Looking to hear you experience with this camera.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the low light performance of the FX30 and the pricing of the FX3 and A7RV in Thailand and Singapore. It's always helpful to have information on different purchasing options and prices in different locations.
I'd like to offer a tip on saving money on camera equipment: I have purchased my gear through the B&H online store in the US, and I have applied for their "PayBoo" credit card. This credit card offers a discount on purchases, so discounts the amount that you owe in tax. You may want to consider looking into this option for future purchases.

Is it compatible with nikkor z 85mm f/1.2 lens?

Yes, if you have a converter from that lens to the camera.

    This is an amazing video.
What you do is a dream for me, I am a starter cinematographer but I don't have a sony camera of my own, I just rent cameras for my jobs. I would be out of the moon if I could get any of your old cameras to improve my work. Thanks

Thank you! Truly I rent much nicer cameras for big commercial shoots. It really is a smart way of doing it. But if you film all the time for big budgets, then it would make sense to purchase an expensive camera.
As a videographer, the cost of cameras can seem high at every stage of one's career. For example, when I started, I remember the Sony 6500 feeling like an incredibly expensive camera. However, as my experience and projects have grown, I'm now considering purchasing a RED camera, which feels just as expensive as the Sony 6500 did to me a few years ago.

@@OlegKovalov so true... I shoot majorly with Nikon DSLR. Hoping to get a Sony cam of my own soon. Such a shame that in NIGERIA here the exchange rates are just incredible.

Cameras that should cost thousands, cost millions here 😭

As someone who is originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, I completely understand the frustration of feeling like the cost of everything, especially technology, cameras, and gear, is too high.
