I didn't know anything about Gino Vanelli since I was born in 80's (all I know was Guns N Roses, Nirvana, etc) and then one day my music teacher introduced me of his songs (brother to brother and appaloosa) suddenly my music taste was change. Thank you mr.Gino for making wonderful music!

This video is fresh in 2013. Gina was brilliant and misunderstood in the 70's. Very heady artist.

Such an intelligent, sentient talent. I have loved his music since the 70s, seen him a couple of times, met him a couple of times, and his personality, soul if you will, shines through so bright. Thank you for a lifetime of support, Gino.

This blew my mind. I have never heard him talk about these things. I'm so glad he opened himself up and went on a journey to find himself before it was too late.😪

Wow, just wow. I've loved Gino's music since I was a kid in Montreal. The g=first concert I ever saw was Gino in 1979 in Vancouver. But until now I had no idea he was such an ardent seeker of spiritual truth.

Gino's relentless questioning of such spiritual mysteries is a Catholic thing, and can drive us away. "Catholic" means universal and all-encompassing, so he looked at just about all belief systems for whole understanding of our earthly existence. An orthodox (i.e. Magisterial) mentor at an earlier age would have explained the New Testament's and the Church's teachings to be one, but most of us stumble through our messy Catholic lives until we are ready to embrace Jesus's Cross and its peace.

japankeibafan You nailed it with Gino. I know it’s been 6 years since you wrote this but say a prayer 🙏🏻 with me to Our Lady of Sorrows for Gino. It’s as if he’s “ there” and doesn’t known it. Christ’s Church has not helped many like him in the past 60 years

What does it mean : "embrace Jesus's Cross and its peace"? It sounds good but it's just a formula, a cliché, empty words with no meaning. What difference does it makes that a guy was murdered 2 thousand years ago? There are many serious historians who question the very existence of Jesus. And if he did exist as an historical figure, he did NOT came back to life. That's a lie. So, you're whole faith is based on a lie. Another nonsense : Jesus died for our sins. First of all, what did we do so terrible that we need to be "saved"? Saved from what? And then, we murder God's "son" and we are rewarded with salvation? So, murder is a good thing? We were bad to begin with and then we do something really bad and that's a good thing? There is no logic in all those lies and it makes no sense whatsoever. The proof is in the pudding : if christianity was the real thing, christians would look like happy and balanced people. But they look miserable, hateful, they molest children, they rape and they even kill. So fuck all that.

This was a wonderful video of Gino's life and successes. I read about most of these events, but hearing it in his own words and seeing some of the snapshots of his life was even more endearing and enjoyable. I drove up from Naples and saw him in Clearwater this year and I feel like I was in a dream the entire concert. Was a bit star-struck when I met him afterwards, but I'll never forget his impact on my life. Bless you Gino! The world loves you! You are truly a talent and a brilliant artist!

The American Indian tribe Hopi call this "Koyannisqatsi" - Life out of balance, a way of life that calls for another way of life. Christians call this an 'Epiphany' - A moment of sudden revelation and insight given by the Divine. Wise is the person who heeds it call.

Does anyone know whether Gino has gone into more detail on exactly WHAT happened in Peru? Did he participate in an ayahuasca ceremony?

My guess is that he had some sort of tribal or indigenous experience in Peru, although he doesn't say that in the video. I feel like ayahuasca ceremonies were available to foreigners even as far back as the 70s although correct me if i'm wrong.
Maybe he saw entities and experienced time out of time on the higher plane, which is definitely enough to shake a devout catholic to the core.
