Love Gino since the 70's.I'm 60 and even when I was 20 ,I recognized his vocal talent and jazzy perfect band..Awesome. if he comes to Halifax I will see him.
I'm also 60 and I couldn't listen to his music enough in the late 70s. Best male vocalist of all time IMO. Saw him in concert at Harrahs in New Orleans back around 2010 or so. He always has the greatest drummers.
It is so good to hear Gino Vannelli sounding as good in 2023 as he did back in the 1970's. Think of that! How many singers can you think of who sound this vibrant and strong in their 70's? Not too many. Back in the mid 1970's when I was doing an entertainment program for an Ottawa radio station, I interviewed Gino backstage after a concert. He was at the 'rock star' phase of his career with a gorgeous girl draped over his right shoulder and another one draped over the left one. He was humble, personable and gracious. " A regular guy rock star. Quite a feat considering all the temptations of fame.
As an old drummer, I always fantasized about being Gino's drummer. They , and all the other musicians , are world class. To Gino and all members of the band, much love and respect.
I'm a drummer and regularly play to his stuff in my shop on my Roland TD-17KVX. I've been a fan for years. Saw him once finally a few years ago. His career has launched so many!
