I saw Ponty live at Great American Music Hall way back when from his 1st album tour, drummer play drums and bass on his lap- bass player had electric violin and 2 leads in the song. The guitar player had that electric acoustic guitar and long solo...it was tight and professional.

Saw Gino in concert in 2014 and 2015. I had one of his albums back in 1978. I wish I’d had seen him back in the 70’s.
I was in the 10th grade when this song was popular. The music back then was so good.

THE MAN'S VOICE AT THIS TIME IN HISTORY WAS EXTRAORDINARY AND THE MUSIC WAS APROPOS.. LET THERE BE MORE AVAILABLE FROM THIS PERIOD.. my buddy randy did the bass and lonnie wilson did the drums!! those 2 together worked with so many artists. mark craney did the tour drumming``` and yes very good!!
I saw Ponty live at Great American Music Hall way back when from his 1st album tour, drummer play drums and bass on his lap- bass player had electric violin and 2 leads in the song.
The guitar player had that electric acoustic guitar and long solo...it was tight and professional.
This song is fantastic! Gino Vannelli is so smooth. Those back up singers made it even sublime.

I don't know if I've commented here yet, but this song was on my dad's mix tape when he'd take us kids on a road trip. I listened to it growing up, and still love it in mid-age.

When I was a young boy listening to this song in 1979 during the short pause after the word “STOP” before the “FOR YOUR LOVE” in the middle of the song I thought at first either there was a brownout or the radio was broken!✋😆🤚
