@@jimmorrison3756 I agree. Seems Andy was using only intermittantly, but never got entirely clean. He was always well spoken, well dressed, overly polite and patient with stupid TV interviewers, and participated in so many TV shows, without showing any typical signs of cocaine addiction, as described by the Betty Ford Clinic. Sooner or later one should have noticed signs, but I saw NONE. From Punky Brewster in September 1984, Soleil Frye Moon remembered still 35 yrs later, how everyone on the set was in love with Andy, esp the children. She could still sense the smell of his skin!
I admire the way he fought until the end, doing his best to eek out a living on the night club circuit. I would never call him an addict, to me he was a wonderful, tender and troubled soul, worthy of all our respect and compassion.

Great performance by Andy and the band as well. Andy was very talented and a beautiful man too. Tragic that he died at such a young age. He was a bright light and won't be forgotten.

Back in those days I was (and still am) a rock/blues guy but I sure did like AG as an artist. He could deliver. This song may sound a bit sugary but it is well orchestrated, great melody, tons of chord changes, and all around just a good song. The fact that Andy made it what it is means the most. R.I.P. Brother AG.

For a different side of Andy check out his version of Words--it really is as good as Barry's (excepting that Barry sings it to his wife, Linda)...and Andy even has a beard in the video so he looks even more like Barry--it's on You Tube

It was the last decade without cable TV, VCRs, DVD players, video games, cell phones, or home computers. The end of an era; the only major neworks on TV were ABC, CBS, and NBC; they ruled everything you watched on television. If 'Happy Days', 'The Waltons', or 'The Carol Burnett Show' was on TV, that's what you watched, no questions asked. You'll never see a time like that again in America.

I was born in "72 and I remember the late 70s. I remember this song being on the radio. I had older teenage cousins who loved the Bee Gees and Andy. I think they are as important as the Beatles. If you look at the songs they wrote and their style. Just saying!
