I take Step in about 2 weeks and, although I passed my practice NBME, I'm not comfortable with the margin and my Uworld scores are scary. Given that we're down to the wire with time, I have been getting lost in the details and overwhelmed while going through First Aid and premade anki decks. Your videos have been an absolute godsend because they clearly distill things down to which details are important to know (and which details I can avoid wasting precious brain space on).

The only other things you need to know on top of this STRICTLY FOR THE MCAT is: oxidative (irreversible) and non oxidative (reversible) steps Non ox uses Ribulose 5-P to synthesize DNA/RNA nucleotides Other than that, this is gold.

I keep wondering when glycolysis starts with glucose, if instead it’s with ketones? How is it affected. Ketones have more energy? Or generate more ATP than 30-32? Or require less ketones to make 30 atp?

Because Glucose 6 Phosphate is shunted from glycolysis to HMP
