Green Algae build-up on vinyl siding is a very common issue in my area (Illinois). Many homeowners avoid cleaning the siding since they don't want to drag out the ladder, pressure washer, brush, etc. With the use of Wet & Forget this once painful project will be reduced to a few minutes and be an easy maintenance item that you don't avoid in the future.

Exactly, I'm getting sick and tiered of these channels becoming shills. I ways unsubscribe.
Agreed.
@Everyday Home Repairs is this video sponsored?
Scott's lack of a reply leads me to believe it was sponsored
@John Pomaro so weird. Just say it. It's not a crime if it is nor a gigantic deal. Just be honest Scott. It is an ethical issue when you pretend to be reviewing something
When do you think he will get back to replying to your comment?
Wet n Forget is a great product. I’ve been using the concentrated version for years. As stated, people shouldn’t expect it to work immediately. While it will look better, I’ve found that it can take as long as a month to work. I usually don’t have to reapply until 3 years or so.
It’s also safe to use on headstones. We had some family headstones that were barely legible. I just put some Wet n Forget in a jar, and applied it with a foam brush. The ones that were really filthy took a couple applications, but they did clean up.
Thanks for the feedback and extra use cases 👍
Wet and Forget for the shower is another awesome product. This company is pretty amazing.
I use this each spring on my Florida tile roof, patio screen enclosure and paver driveway. I’ve done this for years, it works. What I have learned is once you wet an area keep moving on to a dry area. Making additional passes over a wet area does nothing but waste product.
30 second cleaner........the stuff is crazy!
Nice, I will need to try that stuff out as well. These cleaners are super handy for my rentals so you can keep the siding clean but not invest a ton of time cleaning.
@@EverydayHomeRepairs yeah, it's actually pretty funny when you use it. You spray it on the mildew and the next thing you know it's completely gone.....like 30 seconds is generous. I sprayed it on and then turned around to grab my scrub brush and in that time it had completely removed all of it.
It reeks of bleach though..... pretty sure it's mostly just bleach.
Buy it and then refill it with bleach. It just dispenses it at a higher rate than other products.
We use Wet and Forget yearly on our white vinyl fence. It keeps it clean and is so much easier than scrubbing.
I used 30 seconds cleaner last year on my north facing siding. I sprayed waited 5 min and rinsed. I was amazed how well it worked.
Same here. That stuff is amazing. I hadn’t cleaned my siding for 10 plus years and 30 Second Cleaner took all the grime/dirt right off
I did too. It works great and my back thanks me.
Such a better product, hands down.
The mold armor that attaches to the hose is also a great instant cleaner. I use Wet & Forget on my camper awning in the fall. No matter how clean you get it water finds a way and it always gets cruddy.
People buying wet and forget because there is no bleach on it
For any products that end up on and in the ground, I wonder what kind of detrimental effects they have on the environment, wildlife, and us. Roundup and friends...
3.8.23 Scott, what do you know about moss on the roof? How to get rid of the moss and how to keep from coming back?
To keep it from coming back, slide a strip of copper under the top most shingles leaving most exposed. Rain will dissolve some and it will run down the shingles. Copper is a natural biocide
Will this product kill grass?
30 Seconds Outdoor Cleaner works well too and gets good reviews.
Nice, thanks for the feedback 👍
Thanks for this video. I wonder if you saw any browning in your vegetation, even with the pre- and post-soaking, whether right away or after some time.
I did the cleaning a couple days back and all is good thus far 👍
A product called 30 Second Cleaner will take care of the siding in literally 30 seconds with one application. Forget the "Wet and Forget"....
I tihink we all knows, buying wet forget because there is no bleach. 30 sec=bleach
@@jimjim7656 That's like saying dish soap works because there's soap in it.
Wet n Forget works extremely well getting moss off your roof. It doesnt work overnight, but in time it really does a wonderful job getting ride of the moss.
Thanks for this. I was going to ask Scott about moss on a roof until I saw your reply.
I tried a similar product a few years ago, but, all it did was "bleach" the algae/mold/mildew, which came back a year, later. Water, soap, and bleach (or vinegar or lemon) and scrubbing did much better, though, it, too, came back, eventually (2-3 years later). And none of these are good for cedar shakes. :,(
I will never miss the days of scrubbing the siding and underpending as a child… My god.. the misery

Did you ruin your clothes, like I did when I used a similar product (bleach-containing)?
I couldn't find Wet and Forget in your store or anything referencing decks or siding.
Any European alternative to "Wet & Forget"?
Nice commercial
*No scrubbing at all with this product, on vinyl siding?*
Is this better than a low concentration bleach application?
If you use on areas of vinyl siding and is not an area that gets rain do you have to do more to get it to work?
Thanks! Great Work
Thanks so much for the support!
Pretty neat. I always wonder if the stuff works. Thank you for sharing

Did you read the 2-,3-, and 4-star reviews? Those tend to provide more useful feedback.
Note from experience: don't store in a shed exposed to freezing temperatures. Mine leaked out and evaporated leaving a mess of crystallized chemicals.
Thanks for the heads up 👍
Wet and forget is great it just takes a while to work sometimes but the green stays gone for a year
Do you not have to rinse it off - ever?
You do not have to rinse it off as the wind, rain, and snow will do all the rinsing and scrubbing for you. If the surface is covered and will never receive rainfall, you will want to rinse with water every now and then from a hose on a jet setting to keep the cleaning process going.
Looking forward to using it this spring.
I've been using this for years and it's amazing how well it works. However, some spray got on my transparent polycarbonate porch roof and clouded it.
Ace Carries it!
Thanks
Dawn dish soap for the win.
I’ll have to try this.
Is this product only good on vinyl siding? I don't have vinyl but I do have the green funk.
Nope, I think it works well on most exterior materials including the roof.
@@EverydayHomeRepairs On a different topic, I had an electrician a my house changing two circuit breakers. Since there's no way to cut off power to my box within the box, he changed the breakers with the power on. Could you do a video how to do this safely? Seemed pretty simple if you know how. Cost me $380 for 15 minutes of work and two breakers.
Thanks
It works on the black mold stuff also?
Actual black mold is no joke. Concrobium Mold Tough works on mold. A friend told me it mostly consists of hydrogen peroxide (in a high concentration, I assume). The bottle lists it as "Other Ingredients". 😆
Thanks for the tip
You bet!
