Expedition springs are a great option, but these cost less (comparing new to new) and ride better. I run heavier springs in my car since it carries the recovery box and is the most likely to pull a trailer.
I was gonna ask the same thing because I used police expedition rear springs and the 3" cups because I've got about 5" of lift on my 2008 CVPI (front is about 3" via strut spacers) but it's all suspension and no body lift....( The hard parts to install were the strut spacers!!🤬) I'm using all the factory shocks as I just relocated the rear lower shock mounts 4-1/2" up on the housing brackets to match the lift.
We haven't messed with the air-ride because it's generally problematic. But since you don't have coils to start with, you could just buy expedition coils.
If you use something to create a physical barrier like a welding blanket hung up on some type of frame and then magnets to flush against another part of the vehicle so nothing jumps the blanket
The front is different on the 2010 since it has struts, but the rear is the same procedure. The difference is the shock location and which shock you use. For 2003 and newer you want a 97-03' f150 4x4 rear shock.
Not a big deal, but if you're going to call someone out, you should read the instructions. The manufacturer, at least of these, specifies in the instructions to install below the springs. How these coils sit up top I don't think it would be safe to install them above the spring. But it sounds like you have and maybe it's working fine.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. We do both for different reasons. P71 springs with cups have actually handled the best offroading. My car had superduty front could in the rear since it hauled the gear or towed the trailers.
Can you tell me what years to use off the f150? I have a 64 f100 CV swap that I'm trying to raise the rear on. I did the one inch spacers but didn't seem to affect the height much. TIA.
Back at it again with videos 👀👀🤘🤘
Very beautiful
Is there a problem with the automatic transmission or its temperature rising due to this height?
Kinda off topic but I'm pretty sure I seen one of your videos on TikTok can you please do a video on how you did the clutch pedal
Why did you go with those rather than expedition springs

How did you extend the rear shocks to match the lift ?
How long of shock absorbers did you install
What size wheel spacers are you running? Looks good man. Tire size as well?
Thanks for the video. I wanted to know if it's possible to to put a 3-inch lift kit on a Mercury Grand Marquis with Air-ride shocks in the rear?

Is it safe to weld to 3 inch cups to the frame while the car have gas?
Do I need to remove the gas tank to tack weld the cups?

Did you have to do any modifications for a 3in body lift ? Plz if you can answer
Video coming coon for that.
Have you done this to a 2010 CVPI? looking to do this to mine but not sure if there would be any differences...

The spacer goes on top of the spring. Not a big deal, but if you're going to make a video showing others it should be correct.

Couldn’t be more incorrect
Better off using f150 or f250 shocks & springs

I'm looking to do an F150 shock. It may not matter but would rwd or 4wd be better?
