It's a very similar process as the older chassis. The primary difference is that the steering shaft of the 2003+ needs to be extended roughly 50% of the body lift height. If this isn't done, we've seen it pull apart the lower section of the steering collum and lose steering. This is a MUST.
Great tutorial! We’ll be putting a 3” suspension lift on my son’s 2011, I hope a body lift like yours is still as straightforward with the difference in steering you mentioned. Vics kick ass.
Hey! Nice video! I got the link from Off Road Panthers! I'm the member with the orange 99 vic with the giant bull horns and 33 mud tires!. I have a 1 inch body lift, gonna go 2 inch when I have the time. Yes those front bolts were a pain! Great video! Cheers!
Thanks! I know exactly which car you're talking about! I love that rig! Its honestly a pretty simple lift but there are a few challenges. We made the video because we couldn't find one that answered the questions we had. We hope it helps people in the future.
@@lessthanscientific724 Well it was perfect timing for me, I just did the 3 inch suspension lift but still have clearance issues so Ill throw these pucks in, only video I found about it, was nice and clear, and not full of time wasting bs lol, great video

Cool guys! I ordered a front and rear spring lift kit for my '96 Crown Victoria. Can I maybe send you some possible questions, when I start installing?
We just uploaded a video of the rear lift that would likely help with the install. I personally don't have experience lifting the pre 98 panthers. Feel free to send questions, but I might not have all the answers.
Great video and content!👍 I just have one question I'm not a hundred percent clear did you have to modify your brake lines and fuel lines or did they give enough to accommodate the hockey pucks..?🍺
@@lessthanscientific724 thank you so much, that gives me a good starting point. One more question, do you recall what length 7/8 bolts you used to replace the originals?? 🍺
@@TaylorMadejdm1975 The thread pitch for the hardware is M10x1.5. The length we used was 150 mm. There is a link in the description for the specific hardware we used.
Im thinking maybe I would like to do a 1 hockey puck lift . I want to keep the front bumper , and not have to clearance my steering shaft . I think I can use the same bolts that you got . So the only bolts that required a nut are the front ones ?
You just save me like 400 bucks🎉 The zombie response vehicle is going to be sic with six and a half inches . That's an inch and a half bigger than me !!
Hey Albert, sorry I missed your questions. For some reason I stopped getting notifications for this account. Your 04' Towncar would have the same number of mounts and locations and the only significant difference would be that on the 03' and newer cars I believe you need to extend the steering shaft.
I believe that 03+ have the same body mount locations. The only difference would likely be the steering shaft since the newer style had rack & pinion. If you do it please let us know!
The bolts we use are the same thread pitch. They thread into plates in the body. The only ones that have nuts are the front two on the core support. On the 2003 you will need to cut and extent the steering shaft. We don't have a video on that yet but will try to get one soon.
How much would you charge me for u guys to do my car You can use my car with a video and I will pay and if you're not too far I'll meet you halfway Iam in partyville Wisconsin

Thanks J-rad, hoping to have this done by the spring Gambler 500!
Surprising and interesting. Thank you.
I did the same thing to my Bugatti. You wouldn't believe the looks I get now.

can i just lift the front with out doing the back so i can clear 30 inch rims ?

Doing a 1" lift, we would probably use some 120mm bolts. And you are correct, only the front 2 require nuts.

What about the brake lines ? My 2000 lines are tight but know one mentions an upgrade .
So whats the ground clearance with all lifts combined?
And how is the ride qiality and steering suspension components longevity?
Ok I got it , do you know if this exact will work for a Lincoln town car 04 ?

Can y’all please tell me witch body lift did y’all get ? Because I can’t find a body lift specifically for a town car , or are they universal ?????
We just put our own together using hockey pucks and longer hardware.
I have a 2008 crown Vic I need a extension for the steering shaft you know where I can get that?
Do u have to reuse the old rubber gramits ?
Yeah, the only parts that don't get reused are the stock bolts, and the front threaded bushings if you have to cut the fronts.
Can this be done on the newer body style panthers?
I believe that 03+ have the same body mount locations. The only difference would likely be the steering shaft since the newer style had rack & pinion. If you do it please let us know!
Do u need to put nuts on any or just the bolts ? Please I'm doing the same exact project on my 03 lincoln towncar

Question do the bolts have to be threaded all the way
They don't need to be full thread, that is just what had the best price that we could find.
Are they same as the Lincoln town car
The town car chassis should be the same.
Will I need to replace the steering shaft for a 3” lift? Does it “telescope” out far enough?
😊
What rood rack is that?
It was originally on a TJ wrangler. We chopped it up and made it fit.
Did you have to unhook radiator ?
We left the radiator hooked up.
