Were all the rubber bushings (except the ones up front by the radiator) the same for all the mounting spots? Looked like it in the video but just wanted to confirm
@@jacobburroughs8779 yes the nuts are welded onto the inside of the body so be careful. Just buy bolts that are how ever much longer. 1" body lift= a bolt that's 1" longer. 2" body lift = a bolt that's 2" longer
Not really sure what you mean because cutting or trimming would mean you were making the bolts shorter. It's a body lift so longer bolts are needed. 1" body lift would require bolts that are 1" longer. 2" body lift would require bolts that are 2" longer. But that information is given in the video.
Some people say you don't have to but the shaft pulled part way out of the steering wheel on me which made the steering wheel wobbly which I thought was sketch so yes I would absolutely 100% recommend it.
I’m really trying to do a 3” body lift on to my Lincoln town car , but I can’t seem to find the right kit for my car can you help ? Are they universal???????? Do I use truck body lift kit ???
You will need a 3" x3" body lift pucks, bolts that are 3" longer and you will need to extend your steering shaft. The 2" tall x 3" wide ones I bought on ebay are no longer available. But here's a link to their 3x3 ones
@@albertgamez8132 I agree but no one to my knowledge no one makes a KIT for these cars so you have to make your own. You will need 16 lift spacers, 16 bolts, and have a welding shop extend your steering shaft. The link I sent you was the company I bought my spacers from. They are sold individually, and were the cheapest I could find.
I was told how to do this on one of the Facebook groups. I only jacked up the body until the spacers fit. It wasn't until later on that I also extended the steering shaft 2" as well "just in case I wanted more lift" I had no issues with it.
Bout time. Been looking for a body lift how-to. Great job.
Saving this to watch later. I've been thinking about a body lift on top of my 3" suspension lift
You will need to have your steering shaft extended 2" as well
@@TACOMASRT5 do you have to do it for a 1 inch body lift ?
@@isaacc8464 probably not. I did a 2 " body lift and had to.
But I'm interested in going with a 3"
@@TACOMASRT5 what did you use to extend the steering?

Yes
Add more wide angle shots and look into getting a tripod. Keep making content, can't wait to see the turbo build
Thanks alot! I'm working on it.
Still don't know how to film edit but the wife got me a go pro
@@TACOMASRT5 honestly its super easy to add a few cuts and splice videos. tons of guides out there. ill be watching!
@@cedriclee1432 thanks!
Working on the turbo build as we speak
Did you have to get bigger shocks and spring
No a body lift lifts the body off the frame.
I did a suspension lift too and that required different shocks
Any idea how it’s holding up ?
It's still installed, still holding up! Thanks for the comment!
Now I'm working on turbo and long travel suspension.
Do you happen to have the link to the lift blocks you used please sir.

Howd you end up getting those fronts out? Cutting the bolt head?
