I'm now on my 3rd Mercury Grand Marquis in 20 years. What I really like about them, the 2 previous ones were crashed into and totaled by some idiots. Both times I got out of them without a scratch. Thank you Mercury.
I've always been a contrarian, so while the trend is toward shit box electric cars, I just picked up a 2003 Florida, 1 owner Town Car with 55,000 miles in bright white. It looks and rides like it just came out of the show room. I love this car.
Hi Sir I have an absolutely Gorgeous 2007 Lincoln Town Car Signature L.... LONG wheelbase. Beautiful Cashmere Tri-Coat Paint. Only 26,000 Miles. I baby the hell out of her but do drive her three to four days a week to keep her alive. Plus I LOVE the absolutely smooth ass and quiet ride, this baby I think drives smoother than my Cadillac Brougham did. Beautiful Reliable American Car. !!! Thanks for your great videos.....
Cool show ! 😊 I owned a 01 Mercury Grand Marquis for many years and it gave me many years of reliable service . I hope to get a another Panther platform car down the road .
Just picked up a 2011 Crown Vic P7B Rhode Island trooper car. I'm doing #7 putting miles on it. Had a '86 P71 25 years ago, hope this one is as good. I've got Grand Marquis leather seats coming in a couple weeks for the 2011.
I currently have an '07 MGM Ultimate Edition. Pretty much as "loaded" as they come. Black, with black vinyl ( leather...lol ) interior. OEM moonroof and OEM ( non-police ) trunk organizer. Premium sound system w/ 6cd in dash and OEM amplifier. Plus the regular options. I like it. 😊
Sounds like an amazing car! Honestly, in an older car, that plastic "leather" does well over time, while poorly maintained leather doesn't. Pros and cons haha
I own 3 of these cars and I love them but unfortunately in my area everyone uses them for a derby car. There dropping like flys in my area. I hate seeing it because these cars are stronger and more reliable then ALOT of these brand new cars
Great video!! Tons of information. I have a 2005 Grand Marquis LS Premium. I swapped out the rear air suspension for a conventional set up. Left the compressor in, though. The only modification I want to do on her is exhaust. She has the 239hp Modular V8, factory dual exhausts with the factory H pipe. What I want to do is install a cat back Flowmaster FX muffler system, delete the factory mufflers, keep the resonators, and add 4 inch Marauder exhaust tips with custom hangers. Not too loud, not too quiet. Makes the sweetest sound out of the 4.6, since the 1990 Mustang LX 5.0 notchback I bought brand new in April of that year. That was my first new car. The Mercury I have now. I found it for my late Dad. It has every option including front power bucket leather seats with center console shifter and a factory power moonroof. He bought it used in January 2011with 75,000 miles on it. He past away six months after he finished paying for it. The only thing it needs is a paint job. The exhaust mod is the only thing I want to do with her. I recently had to replace the rear differential because the passenger side wheel bearing failed. Other than that she runs so good. She only has 127,600 miles on it. We love it. Again excellent video. I'll watch your video on the 4.6 engine.
thats an awesome car! I had a set of 26" cherry bombs on a 2010 vic and I was convinced that was a perfect sound, but that's subjective, lol. that same car also had a passenger rear wheel bearing fail as well as yours. thanks for the comment!
@@TeamRocketGarage Thanks!! I viewed your video on the Ford Modular Motors. The 4.6 2V, the 5.4 2V or 3V and the 6.0 V10. Again, very informative. I've always used the original OEM 5W20 engine oil for my Mercury. Every 3 months or 3 to 5,000 miles. Or the dipstick turns a bit brown. You mentioned in the engine video that these motors tend to burn a little oil. Mine doesn't burn or leak any engine oil in the more than 12 years we've owned it. Although, I'm waiting for that shoe to drop. Do you think these motors tend to burn a little oil because the oil itself is so light? And because its an overhead cam engine, that clacking noise at cold start sometimes and sometimes at warm start is because the oil is so light as well? Anyway, your channel is awesome!!
2006 LS all stock, 56k miles. I thought I might hear about exhaust mods and how they might increase hp. Thinking of doing the Marty but not a major priority yet. Great video. Liked and subbed.

Nice vid, Somewhat long comment in coming. My first car 04 grand marquis ls Ultimate Edition got summer 2019 love it only big maintenance was blend door, drafts axel bearing. yeah, they're good cars! the 4.6 isnt all bad, people just loved the 5.0 so much that they look over the 4.6.. but really, the 5.0 in the 87 towncar was 140-150hp, and the engine in your GMQ is like 215 at least? would take a lot of money to bridge that gap alone you know.
