Cool fishing with a Mavic! I love quadcopters but tend to focus on racing and freestyle quads because I like building them as much as flying them. I wonder what type of fish you could catch with an Inspire or a heavy duty Octocopter :) I am just getting into EUCs from power electric scooters and the Onewheel. Your insights along with Kuji and Duf have made me really change my mind about the V11. I only have a few hours on an EUC so I am still just getting comfortable on my MTen3. I am comfortable enough though to realize I want to keep going with the EUC. I am already thinking about my next EUC and I am leaning toward the V11. I would be cruising around San Francisco in group rides a lot. BAESK8 has a very large group (40-60 people) riding most Saturdays so I can see the top of the line in the PEV world. I love my Dualtron for effortless 35-40MPH runs and hill-climbing power. I have also seen the S18 and Veteran Sherman handle the same terrain well. The Veteran just handles the San Francisco terrain (potholes and hills) like nothing else while no one was impressed with the S18 as they are coming from more powerful EUCs with much better range. Everyone said the S18 felt cheap. The S18 barely finished the 25 mile ride but it does have some crazy uphills to tackle.
Thanks, a great and well balanced comparison. I put my V11 deposit down a few days ago. I do a lot of inner city street riding and I think the V11 will suit me nicely. I sometimes do downtown food delivery on my KS-18XL. My knees and feet get pretty worn out after about 2 hours, I'm very curious to see how much the suspension helps with this.
Not really, one pays a steep distributor tax. There are 2 possible reasons why S18 cost as much as V11. 1. Kingsong is saying distributors to sell it for that much. 2. Official Distributors want to fill their pocket. Now if you see a Chinese sellers listing. S18 is actually around 300 bucks cheaper. Its a very affordable wheel to be honest and thats why i do not mind the worse motor.
Cool vid. I’m 250 lbs. Never tried a EUC before, but thinking about jumping into it. Do I buy a KS or Inmotion V11? Or do I just go for it and learn on a Sherman so I don’t have to upgrade after a little while? Tnx
I never recc a Sherman as a first wheel. It’s a fairly advanced wheel that will be a pain in the ass to learn. I would wait until the spring when a bunch of new wheels come out. Then you can have more options.
Like to see what it looks like carrying a Sherman upstairs using homemade shoulder straps. Can you also leave a euc in the sun turned off? `I see that S18 has a extended battery pack made for it. Like to see a seat for the V11 while pushing a wheel barrel up hill or two people moving something very long, both on euc's.
The battery won't affect the top speed, lets say i swap the battery on the V11 for better and bigger one your will have more mAh per battery or more WH in all of them but you still got the same motor 2200w the motor cannot push more than that and the controller board will give the same amount of power to the motor !! So better battery mean only better range which is not a bad thing... In fact i did replace myself with a spot welder machine the original battery 21700 for 26800 in my Kingsong they have a little bigger diameter and 10mm more in length, it did not fit well i had to do some modification on the shell, differences the mAh is 5500-6800 instead of 3000-5000 and i did gain 30km (18.5 miles) but same speed.

I think using motorcycles would be a better analogy, take any motorcycle manufacturer you like and the S18 would be the offroad / dirtbike and the V11 would be more of an adventure / tourer e.g. I like Kawasaki so from that perspective S18 => KX/KLX V11 => Versys
Time will tell whether the single or the dually works out in the end. Personally I still have nightmares from trying to figure out how to adjust those Fox shocks properly so having something simple is appealing. At the same time getting really good pop and performance on trails is also appealing. 🤷🏻♂️ Super curious how the Gotway EX is going to fair. Sounds like it has some air adjustments for the overall stiffness, but also some hydraulic dampening going on internally.
@@evXNYC Not really.. In volume maybe, but generally the S22 is still known for having the best suspension on the market. Especially since people can easily swap it out for higher performance shocks and coils. I think it's become a difference between a focus on trail riding and jumps vs general purpose suspension for street.
@@evXNYC lol, if you say so. The Hero, T4, Master, and the upcoming Begode Extreme are all single suspension and it's not like Begode hasn't sold a whole lot of those wheels. Never mind the S19. Whereas Inmotion and Veteran are sticking to dual. So I wouldn't just assume you're right on volume. My guess is that it's probably split pretty evenly.
its like the makers of this e-wheels decide to purposely skip on the side pads even though that for years now people insistingly keep on putting DIY side pads. if it saves the money, knowing you still will buy the ewheel with out the pads, then I'm sure they leave that feature out.
Great video Mickey! This one felt different than most of your videos. I'm not 100% sure why- perhaps it felt a little more informational? I liked it 👍 I was scared for your drone though- what was the plan if a huge fish took the line? 😄
There’s no huge fish there. I’ve fished that canal a lot. Only big fish are snakeheads and they don’t eat bread hanging in the water column. So i catch exactly what i expected: blue gill
A question: I'm considering buying a full face helmet. I see you have a TSG and a Leatt. What are the pros and cons of both? If you would buy only one, which one would it be?
Both a good. I think the Leatt is safer. And the reason i switched from TSG to it was i kept getting dogging inside the face mask. But the field of view on the TSG is unmatched. So there are trade offs.
evX thx for the great feedback. Would you say (certainly in summer time) that the closed TSG might also be to hot? An therefor an open design like the Leatt is preferable?
Motors are rated in Watts, not Watt Hours. Batteries are rated in Watt Hours. Watt is a unit of power, Watt-hour is a unit of electrical capacity. A 1000Wh battery can drive a 1000W load for 1 hour.
Which of the two do you think are more resilient when crashing ? Nobody wants to spend few thousand dollars to crash at 40km+ and have the euc shatter into pieces :/
Question for you I weigh a lot I assume with gear I would stand at 280lbs that said being new to tech it seems I have to get a bigger wheel? Aka 18s etc.. would you agree or could I get away with a 16s?
Let's all say it, just one more time, in sweet, sweet unison: "Suhhhhhhhhhhh-Puhlllllllllllllllll." Hmmmmmm, hmmmmmmmm hmmm!!! I have gotta get that S18!
Range and that breaking scene was something that made me re-consider, will get the wheel and if for whatever reason I end up not liking it I'll sell it.
Think might just wait for the next model(s) from KS, Inmotion, Gotway and Veteran. They'll be improved with the best ideas copied from each other. Also, with the feedback from riders about any problems that didn't come up in testing. What happens if a big fish drags the drone under the water?
Yep but that might be in 2 years... Are you gonna wait that long to ride a s18like EUC? I can't, ordering next week. And don't wait for gotway on that oen, they go with double sided suspension like v11, so... You now how it will behave
@@DIVA-MC-7 Have a KS18XL, it's great with huge range. Done over 7000 km, have not had one single problem at all, totally reliable. Haven't even had to change the tyre yet. Suspension would be good but the current S18 and V11 will be better in the next generation. Sherman range and power is fantastic but might be a bit overkill, and it's very heavy. Lithium Sulfur batteries if and when they become commercial, will be four times energy density. You are going to have great fun with an EUC, they are fantastic.
In a nutshell, watt-hours measure amounts of energy for a specific period of time, and watts measure rates of power at a moment in time. A common analogy for watts and watt-hours is speed and distance. ... Similarly, if a 60 W light bulb is on for one hour, then that light bulb will have used 60 Wh of energy. so 2200 WH motor is technically incorrect.
how you compare v11 acceleration to ks16x? is it faster? A have to accelerate gently with my 16x when i ride over 40kmh, i am too scared of cut off:p, is v11 safe at 50kmh? cheers
I was also curious about this. He said it's almost as torquey as the 16x. Not quite as fast but "dead close". That's a sell for me, as I have a 16x. I love the S18's look but V11 just seems more reliable, safe, and it has an IP55 rating. That's huge. I remember riding my V8 in a big downpour. Nothing happened 👍
You compare "single shock" v "dual shock", but no mention of "unsprung" v "strung" weight which is what most people talk about? Isn't this the real big difference?

I think using motorcycles would be a better analogy, take any motorcycle manufacturer you like and the S18 would be the offroad / dirtbike and the V11 would be more of an adventure / tourer
e.g.
I like Kawasaki so from that perspective
S18 => KX/KLX
V11 => Versys
MrSpeedFrk I prefer the bmw GS1200 !!
This is a great comparison! and what? How did you catch a fish so freaking fast???
THX
The fish thought it caught a free drone.
Very good view of the wheels
Time will tell whether the single or the dually works out in the end. Personally I still have nightmares from trying to figure out how to adjust those Fox shocks properly so having something simple is appealing. At the same time getting really good pop and performance on trails is also appealing. 🤷🏻♂️ Super curious how the Gotway EX is going to fair. Sounds like it has some air adjustments for the overall stiffness, but also some hydraulic dampening going on internally.
time has spoken... dual suspension reigns supreme in 2023
@@evXNYC Not really.. In volume maybe, but generally the S22 is still known for having the best suspension on the market. Especially since people can easily swap it out for higher performance shocks and coils. I think it's become a difference between a focus on trail riding and jumps vs general purpose suspension for street.
I’m always talking about in volume. My prediction came true, as all of mine have.
Good comparison....
Bmw vs f-150
This video really helped on my decision for next unicycle..
Thanks~
Happy to help!
Nice fish catch 👍
Cool video dude! Make more!!
Great video man
This makes sense. Many Thanks
Now RUclips reminds of tv from the 80's. I almost bought a slapchop and a Grady for 29.95!
Amazing commercials:))
Great video
Thanks
Motors are rated in Watts, not Watt Hours. Batteries are rated in Watt Hours. Watt is a unit of power, Watt-hour is a unit of electrical capacity. A 1000Wh battery can drive a 1000W load for 1 hour.
Yes i know. It was a slip. No time to go back and reshoot. I say the words watt hour and watts like 700 times a day haha
Which of the two do you think are more resilient when crashing ? Nobody wants to spend few thousand dollars to crash at 40km+ and have the euc shatter into pieces :/
Honestly would depend on the crash, but as of now I’m gonna say s18.
Great BMW vs F-150 analogy
Question for you I weigh a lot I assume with gear I would stand at 280lbs that said being new to tech it seems I have to get a bigger wheel? Aka 18s etc.. would you agree or could I get away with a 16s?
I would skip the s18. There’s not enough battery. Also skip the 16s.
Awesome instrumental during the review. What's the name of that song?
Let's all say it, just one more time, in sweet, sweet unison: "Suhhhhhhhhhhh-Puhlllllllllllllllll." Hmmmmmm, hmmmmmmmm hmmm!!! I have gotta get that S18!
Still a high value video 👍
F..k I pre-ordered the S18 as my first wheel just yesterday, now I don't know what to do lol.
Love the looks of the S18 specially in black...
oh man. dilemma!
The S18 is going to be a great, despite it not being a distance wheel.
You didn't make a wrong choice
Range and that breaking scene was something that made me re-consider, will get the wheel and if for whatever reason I end up not liking it I'll sell it.
Think might just wait for the next model(s) from KS, Inmotion, Gotway and Veteran. They'll be improved with the best ideas copied from each other. Also, with the feedback from riders about any problems that didn't come up in testing. What happens if a big fish drags the drone under the water?
That canal only has bait fish
Hi evX i like the V11.....
Which would you recommend for a smaller rider? 5'-5", 140lbs
Both are close in size. Your use case and where you live and what terrain you ride is a better way to consider it.
Which one's easier to disassemble for tire changes? Love the quality of your vids btw.
It’s a tie
In a nutshell, watt-hours measure amounts of energy for a specific period of time, and watts measure rates of power at a moment in time. A common analogy for watts and watt-hours is speed and distance. ... Similarly, if a 60 W light bulb is on for one hour, then that light bulb will have used 60 Wh of energy.
so 2200 WH motor is technically incorrect.
Yeah i meant to say watt. My bad.
Love it!!
Dig the "Neistat" intro too 😄
OMG- that easter egg tho!!! 😲😲😲
Great video, thx buddy 👍👍👍
Thank you for watching!
if put a coil in s18?
Wish to have one 😊
Nice fishing 🎣😃
how you compare v11 acceleration to ks16x? is it faster? A have to accelerate gently with my 16x when i ride over 40kmh, i am too scared of cut off:p, is v11 safe at 50kmh? cheers
I'm curious too about that
I tackled that in my full v11 review. You can find it on my channel.
Let's about talk suspension
ah yeah!
Don't dead open inside 😁
You compare "single shock" v "dual shock", but no mention of "unsprung" v "strung" weight which is what most people talk about? Isn't this the real big difference?
04:53 Nice!
wich one have the best range capacity ?
V11
