Thank you. There are always exceptions to a rule. As a collector with CDO (that is OCD with the letters in order as they should be :)), I like the full presentation box.

Love your vids, sir. Here is another consideration about caps. I bought a tester of Guerlain Homme L'eau Boisee to save 5 bucks. But that fragrance became an instant fave & so it's in my daily rotation. Now, I choose which frag to wear each day by smelling each of my faves, and narrowing down by whatever my taste is that day, and what appeals to my body chemistry.
All my other favorites have caps. So each bottle retains a bit of fresh residue clinging to the sprayer from its last use. But not on my capless L'eau Boisee. Since it doesn't have a cap, all the recent spray residue evaporates away, so I can't compare it with my other scents by smelling the sprayer-- it's dry. This is just one more (I think, important) issue in the case for buying bottles with intact caps!
That’s a really great point that I completely overlooked! Agree 100% man. Bottles like spicebomb and Ultra Male can be annoying because you have to actually spray the fragrance in order to smell it

testers are great for replacements. just buy the tester and use the cap from your used up bottle for the new one. bought a second bottle of Dior homme and used the cap from my old one.
Also, whether your bottle has a cap or not, you can use a small strip of electric tape to maintain a proper seal at all time.

Nice idea for a video Dallas! I, PERSONALLY am not a fan of testers either because I'm a "Collector" and I like to have full presentation as well... Plus I'm *FUGGIN* *CRAZY.* But that stronger with you presentation is basically the same thing. But for a friend's and casuals, I always suggest testers if they won't mind! Awesome awesome content brother, keep it up my man! 👍👍
Thanks bro! I’m on the same page. To me, a tester is for someone who doesn’t care too much about presentation. And in that case, you could save even more and go for nice looking decants from some of the pros. Always a great way to save cash too!

Great topic for your next video, about the air you mentioned. My Mont Blanc Individual is beginning to smell different. It's 80% full and have owned it for about two months now.
Interesting! It could be maturing a bit. I thought it was more common in scents composed of natural ingredients but this could be the case with Individuel also. I’ll have to spray mine and see if it’s any different

Chaos Fragrances It smells bad for the first 10 minutes and then it smells okay when it dries down. The new dry down isn't as good as the old dry down, it used to smell amazing when I first bought it; even the initial spray smelled good.

Just bout a 3.3 of Bond No9 Bleecker Street which was a tester un used for $125. I feel like that’s a good deal. No box or cap though.

I buy testers all the time, and have never had a problem with them. Actually I have found on a couple occasions that the tester had the original formulation juice in it, and the bottles being sold were weaker. Example: I got two, 2012 La Nuit de l'homme testers from Ulta about 6 months ago, when they were selling the current formulation. I know that doesnt normally happen, but I have heard (strictly rumors) that sometimes companies will put better juice in the testers so you are more impressed with the scent, but sell the weaker new formulation version. Its probably not true, but I've always gone the tester route whenever possible because there is a chance it might be better. also I have dozens of caps from Chanel and dior n other brands that work on other bottles pretty well n stop the evaporation. I got most those caps from empty testers at the mall cuz they just toss them.

I bought my first tester and the picture had no cap on the perfume buuuuut it's discontinued now so I figured it's better to buy it without the fancy cap for £10 for 100 ml instead if buying it from the sellers over here for £40 for 50 ml. 😂 But its saving me a lot of money.
I think its smart to buy some testers. Consider this. If a tester is around 10-20% cheaper then that's more money for another bottle. Buy a tester of an scent you like but don't love. Save the money for the one you love.
That’s true, but it also comes down to presentation and how it looks on your shelf. In that case, you could save even more by going for full decants

You said if you don’t have a cap, air get into your bottle. What about fragrances that doesn’t have a cap? For example One Million by Paco Rabanne or Versace the Dreamer?
Those are usually subject to evaporation and decomposition overtime. Don't quote me on this, but I think there are some sprayers out there like that which use a mechanism to close the atomizer opening. But I'm not entirely sure

No it's always really cheap.For example La Nuit de L'homme 2 oz is like 60 but for a 3.3 oz tester its 70 so a good deal

As far as I’m aware, I don’t think that’s true. That would be pretty shady of companies to do that and not tell us about it
Chaos Fragrances true someone that worked in fragrances for a long time told me that. He said it was to cut cost of all the fragrance testers they have to send out. I wouldnt be suprised if its true
If the point of a tester is to sell fragrances i don’t see how producing a lesser quality product will do that.
I think could be by the other way; are more concentrated than others ones out there for selling.
