Even though Cool Water has been a top seller and overused since the 90s, it still smells great...like a high end dryer sheet. I have a bottle and probably use it once or twice a year.

I used to work at Macy's as a cologne salesman, and although I enjoyed the scents; I never really thought about how they are "perceived'. I always was solipsist about it, but it's fascinating to see how involved certain scents are in emitting certain intentions. Very articulate explanations. Subbed.

I absolutely LOVE Acqua Di Gio, forever. Some people say they get poor performance with it, I get better performance with it than i do with Light Blue Eau Intense. One of my favorites for sure.

I sprayed Dior Sauvage on me during the school break and a few minutes later there was a group of 3 girls passing by and the first said:Omg, it's smelling like a men's perfume, a very good one. The second next to her: True, but it must be a very expensive one. The third a little later joined the group and said: Yeah, you're right it smells awesome. And I was there sitting on a bench only a few meters away trying not to laugh xD. I was actually using Dior Sauvage one week before every day and never got a single compliment from the people I knew(Maybe because I was the unpopular serious silent Student in the class) . So even if you should not get that many compliments with your fragrance, it's not really your fault, girls keep their opinions rather for themselves, but they still like your fragrance, they just don't show it. All those fragrances are extremely popular,but only 1 or 2 people will recognize them. There are really not that many people who care about fragrances depending from the country you are, but even in europe overall from my experience where I am, you can use those popular fragrances with no problem.
