What about Maxaroma? I watched the video twice to make sure I didn't miss it but it wasn't mentioned. Are they legit? I've used fragrancenet and fragrancex and I like them both.
What would be great is if you could let us know about discounters to stay away from. I had a very bad experience with House of Beauty, online retailer. I believe they put a fake Bvlgari product set in an old Bvlgari box. On top of it, the body wash and lotion were rancid, totally spoiled, and smelled like rotten cheese. The fragrance was yellow (supposed to be clear) and also smelled bad. They, of course did not take responsibility.

Sigh, I know right. There are a lot of suspicious resellers/distributors(? Not sure what to call them exactly) that sells perfumes for insane prices but claims to be 100% authentic. Not sure where they get the perfumes from. But some of these local sellers actually do have hundreds or even thousands of positive reviews claiming that it's authentic! So some examples of prices Penhaligon portraits @ $110 (USD 80) vs RTP 420 (USD307) Diptyque EDP/Le Labo @ $80 (USD 58.5) vs $233 (USD 170.4) / $270 (USD 197.5) Haha I even just found a 100ml le labo for $35 (And yes, 99% of the time they say it's authentic because the batch code checks out, though that would be more relevant to your other video)
Check this "new" bottle of Azzaro Intense that Fragrancenet sent me. Resealed cellophane, scratched bottle and a few ml's missing. imgur.com/a/R1TwjpZ I've also sent back several that had old batch dates and were quite weak. I returned a few to Maxaroma, too.
Yeah I've ordered from fragrancenet for the longest" only problem with them is you may get a bottle that's extremely old and has gone bad or maybe wasn't stored properly" as of recent have had some issue's with batch numbers being totally different from the one on the box and the bottle or not being able to find a date with the code. So have had a lot of stuff being returned" only problem with that it normally takes almost 2 weeks to get you're money back on the refund.
@ Shave-a-thon I agree. They are lucky to sell a knock off for $10 per 5 oz.. Much less getting $80 for 3.4 oz! They still make money if only 20% are fooled..
I think, sometimes, the perception of "lack of scent", is the problem. As an example. I have some Insurrection 2 and Versace Dreamer from Fragrance X. I can barely smell either one, on me. But having a couple of people check, the scent is there. I go "nose blind" easily. It would be easy to think I'd received a weak or fake product. But I haven't. It's just me.
Sometimes the lack of scent is because the bottles they're sending are a few years old and have been stored improperly during their circuitous route to the discounter over the last several years. What's the batch code of the Versace Dreamer? Reyane bottles are difficult to ascertain regarding batch dates.
Thank you for the video. The only issue I have is the courier they use. Fedex is a hit and miss for me. Sometime I get the package on time and others not. Fragrancenet uses Fedex smartpost and it takes really long time for me to receive my package. I personally don't like Fedex because they don't personally hand you the package, they just drop it off without knocking on the door or ring the door bell. For this reason I avoid doing business with companies that use Fedex.
Is MaxAroma ok? I just bought 3 niche fragrances (Green Irish Tweed, Layton and Jubilation XXV) there and they look legit, but their scent doesn't evolve. The opening and the base are pretty the same. So I'm worried.
I gave up on eBay frag purchases. I’ve been burned too many times. Got a bottle of Herod for 160$ off eBay and it has like a tenth of its normal strength.
Recently ordered Aventus from Fragrancex and am honestly disappointed. The scent is evidently weaker than what you would get from a retailer and the longevity barely hits one hour. In my opinion, it is not worth buying pricey niche fragrances from the grey market since there is higher risk that your product will be defective. It will likely disappoint considering the steep prices that do not match the value in the bottles you get from discounters.
For niche fragrances nothing comes close to Noseparis.com, once they deduct VAT, with 3 to 6 samples it’s a steal. I just bought a MFK BR540 Extrait for around 260$
I've gotten dinged 3 times by FragrangeX, where the perfumes have been litterally Rancid and now 1 time on Ebay one was watered down to the point I could barely smell it? Let alone it last at all but 1 minute? Now, for FragranceX the 3 that have been rancid have been in like just 1 out of a 5-6 purchase order! Not like every single one?
Any opinion on Foreverlux? I see it’s based in New Jersey and they seem to be just a tad cheaper than fragrancenet. I’ve ordered 5 fragrances from fragrancenet in the past. My home was looted during Hurricane Laura so I’m trying to re-purchase items.
TheManiacZone I go to fragrance x. But sometimes Tj Max has an equal or lesser price, as was the case when I got my bottle of obsession. And as I said before, it’s a nice surprise to see what’s there.
I bought a bottle of Ed Hardy Love & Luck on ebay the bottle and box have no mentioning of Christian Audigier at all the bottle is completely clear no engraving at all and it has nothing about it being licensed by Ed Hardy. It said it was factory sealed it just came in a Ed Hardy box. The scent did not last long 3 hours-ish. Any thoughts?
Did it come with a batch code? If it has a weak performance it may be a dupe but only the batch code will tell you that. If it doesn't have one, you've been duped.
I had a lady in the department store tell me that when you get fragrances from third party sites the fragrance is a little off. I’m not sure of she was saying that to get me to buy more fragrances from the store though
The sigh of relief hearing Fragrancenet is legit. Also i'm glad FrangranceX is real

Diptyque EDP/Le Labo @ $80 (USD 58.5) vs $233 (USD 170.4) / $270 (USD 197.5)
Haha I even just found a 100ml le labo for $35
(And yes, 99% of the time they say it's authentic because the batch code checks out, though that would be more relevant to your other video)
Hey Ash, does MaxAroma sell authentic Creed?
I've never experienced issues with my purchases from FragranceNet, FragranceX or MaxAroma.
I've ony had positive experiences with these companies.
@@shave-a-thon3415 Start using FRAGRANCEX....
So informative! I am going to check out these websites.
I'd send those batch code problem bottles right back to them. That usually means the boxes were repacked and resealed.
@ Shave-a-thon
I agree.
@@shave-a-thon3415 I'll check that when I get home.
@@morrispate1936 In the meantime, check the much longer comment I posted to this review.
Thank you!!! I just bought Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue from ediscountperfumes for less than 1/2 retail price!
Thank you for the help with all of this. Finally made my first purchase from Fragrancenet tonight.
Great Video! Short and to the point. New subbie!
Ps. Thank you for finally telling me how to pronounce frangrantica lol
Awesome review, Thaks I will use FX for sure!
Dude Thank you soooo much! I love your videos.
Is MaxAroma ok? I just bought 3 niche fragrances (Green Irish Tweed, Layton and Jubilation XXV) there and they look legit, but their scent doesn't evolve. The opening and the base are pretty the same. So I'm worried.
Have you found out if they are real? I’m considering buying from MaxAroma
I just got khanjar from maxaroma scent lasted 2 hours only 😢
Because of this video I'm going to try to purchase 2 of my favourite bottles in fragrancex. I hope the same experience as you do. 🤔
So how was it?
update
Would you trust buying Creed fragrances from FragranceX? I’m debating if I should purchase from them
I recommend maxaroma ive just purchased creed viking an it is 100% authentic
I bought too i have no complaints against Fragrance net😎😉
Notino all the way. Unluckily for you guys outside of Europe
Unlucky*
Thank you so much for the video. Just came here after watching your video about the truth of Scentbird (I did unsubscribe 🤣) .
I gave up on eBay frag purchases. I’ve been burned too many times. Got a bottle of Herod for 160$ off eBay and it has like a tenth of its normal strength.
Your videos are the best for me, thank you very much 🥰
Awesome video very helpful thank you buddy
Aaaand the boys outside of the states are always left out.
You got Notino in EU
@@fragrancetrip8209 do they deliver outside of Europe?
@@RavenValkyrie not sure 🤷♂️
@@fragrancetrip8209 thanks anyways.
You can youse fragranceX in the uk aswell. Not just that but we have notino that doesnt sell in the US
Recently ordered Aventus from Fragrancex and am honestly disappointed.
Doubtful.
That's normal, creed Aventus is diluted with water to drop price. If you want the legot one than you need to pay 250$
Creeds performance isn't what it used to be too tho. Everyone complains about the new batches
Love this man's accent---is it a Carolinas accent? Virginia? Pennsylvania? Sounds like that part of the States somewhere.
I also want to know about them..
They are! I have ordered with them a few times!
Very informative video, thanks a lot :)
Always appreciate this kinda vid. Thanks
I hear that fragrance is legit is just the way they store there colognes messes up the cologne that’s what I got from most of these reviews
yeah man, i ordered two different fragrances but the performance is dogshit!
FragranceX sent me weird smelling Dior Fahrenheit EDP - so I am returning everything… they do have awesome and responsive customer care
Hey Ash, do you know if zulily sells authentic fragrances?
I was expecting a video related to valentines day
You never mentioned Max Aroma in the video, only in the title. Is Max Aroma legit in your opinion?
By the way : World of watches do sell fragrances… love to hear your input on it. Thanks..sss…
Should I buy from Fragrancex or Fragrancenet??
Its cheaper because they dont have staff to pay staff in retail stores and no rent to pay in retail stores. Hope that helps
Never had a problem with them. I bought my 500ml aventus at the store though.
I hope you’re keeping up with your regimen and getting a full 8 glasses of Aventus a day.
I like to go to Tj Max. Their fragrance area is always a surprise, so it’s exciting to see what’s there.
Its way more expensive than online. I know cuz i've bought about 30 bottles from winners/marshall's and everytime, its cheaper on fragrancebuy.ca
TheManiacZone I go to fragrance x. But sometimes Tj Max has an equal or lesser price, as was the case when I got my bottle of obsession. And as I said before, it’s a nice surprise to see what’s there.
Tj maxx is the best place for English Laundry... 12.99 where I am
Thank you very very much for your information!
Thanks for the advise. What's your take on Jomashop?
I live in Alaska and Fragrance net has been very fast!
I bought a batch of various perfumes none of them smelt like the originals i purchased from the Bay or Shoppers. Will see what my next batch is like?
I had a lady in the department store tell me that when you get fragrances from third party sites the fragrance is a little off. I’m not sure of she was saying that to get me to buy more fragrances from the store though
Sales tactic
I use both fragrancex and fragrancenet never had an issue
How long does it take for fragrancenet to process orders for shipping? They're slower than molasses.
This SUPER HELPFUL!!! Thanks man!! What is your opinion of Scentbird?
