@@gamerbeast3616 OW was definetly dead before OW2 came out, years with no updates or substantial player growth = dead in modern gaming. But because OW has had no competition they've been able to survive a multitude of game ruining decisions. Currently OW2 is doing pretty good though, it seems like once again the community is accepting that there's nowhere else to go for that hero shooter fix.

I'm going to say it OverWatch 2 has been doing pretty good aside from PVE. Just about everything else has landed pretty well this year. We had five new heroes, not including the three that launched with the game. Mostly good reworks multiple new maps, a new game mode and another on the way and unironically blizzard is listening or at least the devs are and they are trying their best and I think it's high time we stop calling it a dead game because it really isn't Star wars battlefront 2 is a dead game and I am referring to the newer one
The “free to play” model always scares me, game definitely has potential but I hope the devs learn from Overwatch 2 to NOT make it predatory

@ReyRey277 Yeah. It's so hard just to get one skin in Naraka Bladepoint and only gives you enough currency to get one character. It takes about 10 hours just to unlock one character

Its funny because Black panther has Enegry Daggers or Kimoyo Beads he can throw for range Projectiles.
I hope they give him that so i wont have to be in close range all the time.

There needs to be archetypes for balance. A character that forces zoners to change position is much needed counter . Yea maybe a cool down projectile oh him but adding stuff against character type makes ppl play exact opposite when team might needd him to get in and do his thing. Can’t wait tho
If I had a dollar for everytime someone says players are mad at the "state of OW", YET that's been the case forever, OW1 and OW2. And YET people still play this game myself included 😂 blizzard has their fanbase under wraps no matter what they do lmao
Yeah…there are obviously plenty of valid reasons to be disappointed/upset with the way that the Blizzard execs have historically handled their game, especially considering the heights it reached during the early years of Overwatch, but the whole “80% of players are angry” bit is doing a LOT of heavy lifting. I would love to see the source for that claim, if there was one, especially when it comes to things that players are dissatisfied with. Is it overpriced cosmetics in the shop? Game balance issues? The cancellation of story mode thanks to greedy executives like Bobby Kotick? Any of these could be a factor, but just throwing out a sweeping “80%” statistic with no reason to take it seriously just feels…questionable.
I don’t want to come off as some kind of Blizzard shill for enjoying OW2 despite its troubled history, but I genuinely don’t see anything in the promotional materials for Marvel Rivals that Overwatch, even with its flaws, doesn’t already do better. Instead of creating a fun and engaging game with colorful original characters and unique gameplay elements (like the original Overwatch), this looks to be a half-assed attempt to cash in on the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s popularity. I really hope I’m wrong, not because I plan on playing it myself-I’m pretty burnt out on all the Marvel stuff at this point-but for anyone who does decide to give the game a try. Because ultimately, we’re all here to have fun, and hopefully everyone who purchases Rivals gets to enjoy it for a long time to come.
Not only would this game be absolutely amazing for marvel comic and mcu fans but it would cause OW2 to step up their game and make it great again

I heard somebody talking back when Overwatch was shutdown in china how NetEase was probably cooking this up and waiting for a time. Then once Blizzard said all pve stuff was canceled, this was announced exactly after. So NetEase is probably behind the what happen there

I've said this for any shooter game that has cosmetics(skins or alt costumes not so much guns) make it a third person shooter so people will actually be able to visually enjoy their cosmetics they probably spent alot of money on because of MTX/Battle Pass shenanigans

As someone who loves Marvel, and absolutely despises how Blizzard took OW and turned it into basically anything consumer unfriendly as possible (not including giving new heroes for free again) I just want this to do well.
If Moon Knight or Miles Spider-Man aren't in the game at the start, I'll wait till they drop to try the game.

I’ve played it, it’s good. Runs good. And looks good. It doesn’t need hyper realism the comic book look it has is good. And IMO plays better than OW. There’s no tsuzu, there’s not many barriers but one and another that’s only 2 seconds. Healers heal on autos which gives them fun abilities to make. Dps feel good because the lack of barriers and how fast they deal damage but healing is just as fast. Tanks feel like tanks and not just sponges. And the team up combos are nice to a point I wouldn’t be surprised if OW just yoinks it. Plus it’s not role queue so if u only play dps in ranked ur not gonna climb unless ur flexible. So the players that go “I’m gonna play dps f u” aren’t gonna climb as much as someone who plays other roles. My only problem rn is there some balancing like hella and how small the ui is when playing but that’s an easy fix. But I will die on the hill that it’s more fun than OW 1.25. There’s no one taps to complain about and hit boxes are solid.
I’m hyped to see if this works. However, Idk if it’s just me, but the gameplay gives me vibes of clunkynsss and hack and slash button smash type of gameplay

What do you mean barely any new content? We're getting new heroes every other season an event mode every season, straight up new yearly events, new maps, a new mode and another one on the way shortly. We have gotten More content in OverWatch than any other time in the game's history

i disagree lol. i played it alot until the last 1 or 2 seasons and the game is a shell of what it use to be. iunno what they thinking wit the hitbox changes, the buisness plan, the character balances, the scrapping of PVE mode and giving us the scraps in these new events.. like if they wasnt the ONLY HQ hero shooter on the market wouldnt have played as long as i did personally.
As long as the skins aren’t 20$ each I don’t care if it’s live service. I’d rather drop 50$ on good 5$ cosmetics before I drop 20$ for one skin

Do a reasonable battle pass if they need it to generate more money with fire ass skins and new heroes you can unlock easily by playing and getting kills with certain weapons/abilities but nothing unnecessary over 20 kills type shit

I dont trust NetEase for shit with this Marvel game as a dead by daylight mobile player. They have a literal blueprint to follow with the main game for every update & they ALWAYS screw up by forgetting something to add or breaking something the main games devs didn't.
Examples: no price cuts for items bought with the earnable currency (bloodpoints) yet they still removed perks ability to earn extra, even though the main game cut those prices for that purpose! Failing to get the Resident Evil license so they make us pay for the perks we would've gotten with those licenses & it's more expensive than what the characters would've cost. The newest map straight up breaking most of the killers powers & Tiffany skin not available with Chucky's release.

Best thing dbd mobile does are their original character skins (both tied to free & paid gachas) & the special game modes being more creative than the special modes the main game does.

Overwatch 2 is bad for different reasons and I feel like it's easy to just pretend like everything about it is bad.
Overwatch 2 killed Overwatch 1 for no apparent reason bc they cancelled PVE and monetization is through the roof.
*Gameplay however* is top notch. Rivals gameplay feels floaty and its 3rd person taking away appeal from it already that 1st person fanbase that OW has.
Also not to mention the developers behind Rivals aren't just as bad at monetizing their F2P mobile games.

Pair dumb players ONLY with each other.
Pair Ranked tryhards ONLY with each other.
Don't force CrossPlay.
Don't be weak bitches when it comes to Text AND Voice Chat.
Have everyone be dmg dealers like Paladins(so it wouldn't be a pain to play non-DPS roles).
And have Overtime only be Ranked.
Honestly, It'd be easy for an Overwatch clone to come along & be better, if it does those 7 things.

Because if dumb players were paired up & have matches where nothing happens(because everyone's messing around) & tryhards were paired with each other & have Ranked matches in QP & Arcade forever, and Overtime was only in Ranked(that crap ALWAYS hands losers a win), a huge cause of frustration would be gone.
