We don’t have enough good sci-fi games. We have an ABUNDANCE of fantasy games with all types of races to choose, backstories, lore, the whole nine yards but sci-fi, while yes we have a few, I.e. Mass Effect and Star Wars, we not eating good. I’d love to see studios get creative in making sci-fi games with the same amount of diversity as fantasy games. Like imagine an open world like gta but with weird aliens that you could play as. It’s risky but I’d like to see someone at least give it an honest try.

Gamecube was the last Nintendo platform I purchased.
Was an amazing console and game library and hardware controller wasn't my favorite but better than N64.
Uncharted is not overrated. Uncharted is praised for its story above all, I will concede it’s nothing crazy game mechanic wise.
The narrative he's got on "Naughty Dog" games is so tired man. They're some of my favorites and I've hardly touched the casual game genre he always references whenever he talks about the games the ND Stans play
Nah there’s no other game in existence that has better climatic gameplay sequences then the Uncharted game franchise. That’s where it stands out. Show me a gameplay sequence more climatic and over the top the the train sequence from UC2, Plane from UC3, or Car battle from UC4.
Uncharted has a unique charm to it and it's multi-player was actually pretty good

I hate to say this but Fornite did but everyone was hating on build mode.
Why is it so hard for us to get some more originality in that space.
Saints row 2 was peak open world crime for me to say the least, the co-op at the time of release was HUGE. The missions had variety and a good amount laughable moments. Characters such as Gat had unrivaled personalties and they all didn't feel like clones of each other. Also.... the pimp slap LMAO.
Brought a smile to my face when somebody mentioned Saints Row 2. One of my fav games of all time. Obviously the graphics and some controls are outdated, but it’s a fun game with alot to do, and its even better in co op with a friend. Respect 💯
I respect TBHs opinion but to say ALL you remember from GTA V is Lamar saying "nigga" I honestly feel is a lie, or an exaggerated truth at the very least.
GTA 5 on PC with mods and online is mad fun i dont care for the story i just want to play and do fun shit i do it lacks functions but we been playing the game for 3 generations of consoles

GTA 5 IS a bad game compared to the old games ( without mods and online ) we’re not going to pretend like the GTA following don’t consist of content creator buying shark cards and the other half are Role Players, I can literally boot up GTA 4 and GTA SA just for the free roam alone, let’s be real here.

It’s not gta 5 it’s gta 5 online. It 100% showed how low standards gamers have. The shit is a scam. $100 shark card gets you 8 million which gets you nothing you can literally spend it on a single yacht. Then the grind is ridiculous to make money to buy shit takes hours on hours. Public lobbies got fucked ever since they started adding in all the bs like the oppressor. GTA online was great in the early days now it’s garbage and people still defend it.
It’s multiple counters for oppressors. Also multiple ways to make millions in Online Mode.
If modders & glitchers didn’t ruin the game the prices wouldn’t be so bad.
And think, all that Story DLC we could of got, but people kept buying shark cards and we missed out on some cool DLC like GTA 4, still pisses me off
@@Hunterese123 GTA 5 was meant to be primarily online. It wouldn’t make sense to pour soo many resources into endless story dlc.
Also, things in GTA were pretty cheap until ppl started glitching & modding. I blame the players for causing all that inflation.

Hot take, we got a lot of frauds. There is a good chunk of people, not all, but a good chunk… that claim they are over the cinematic story games that play themselves and this essentially a big cutscene/movie. Yet if any event takes place and you’re not getting those kind of games shown to you in the presentations, y’all are the first ones to check out and call it a bad show 🙌🏾

Uncharted 3 had the best multiplayer and local play. Times were simpler back then, I remember the devs made a dodgeball map. You would spawn in with grenades and throw them on the enemies side. They were giving free shit so often, and as a kid you would be hyped cuz you couldn't be buying content like were used too as adults now.

Hot take: The Final Fantasy 13 trilogy is no where near as bad as it’s made out to be. The story and gameplay were classic Square Enix. I think some got so hung up on the missteps (such as linear corridors) it led them to dismiss the whole collection because of it. My personal favorite after FF7.

Physical copies of games are more beneficial. Digital has its ways of conveniency but to be able to go back & play a game without (whoever’s in charge) taking servers down makes physical copies that much better.

Seems like games in their infancy were way more unique and different. Nowadays it’s literally a copy and paste of what was popular during those times.
GTA Online.... for years I've been saying it had so much to offer but was kinda boring. the automatic fight-or-die lobbies sucked and the always grinding-for-money aspect sucked, but I'm also a Warframe player so I know how bad grinding can be. I've learned you need friends who play different game modes besides the money-grinding missions. Story Mode was fine to me, I've beaten it multiple times.
When he said GAMING died he means what gaming WAS died to be a new thing. Most of the game today are formulaic and uncreative.

You're absolutely right and you bring up some very good examples. This was only the beginning of the decline of the industry because a couple of years later unbeknown to us at the time, games begin to accrue the stench of Sweet Baby Inc and it began to show in the story of video games. What you describe was the start to a very lengthy process that continues at the present.
Hot take: TLOU 2 was a miss. I strongly disagree. I think it was amazing and almost as compelling as the first. Fans were emotionally attached to Joel and Ellie because of the first game and viewed them as the heroes even though, we’re made to realize through the course of the second game that they were the villains. Abby and her crew were working to get civilization restarted and sometimes people minding their business from vicious attacks from the murder hobo known as Joel.

Yeah I don’t understand the hate for TLOU 2. Like he said the game is based on revenge…. But the game made you see the story through the perspectives of 2 people fighting for a legitimate reason. It’s possibly one of the few times you’ve sympathized with the villains.

Grand theft Auto 5 has some of the best arcade racing mechanics. It is flat out better than all of the Crew games and the newer Need for Speed titles.

Fighting games is the best genre. Why, because it has the most replayability. You have a wide verity of games to choose from, every game has a character for someone. And with online play you always have new bosses to challenge you.

Saints row 2 is pretty peak. Like 3 was the best spectacle but 2 was the most balanced gang/arcade feel.
And sleeping dogs was the game that Jet Li rise to honor wanted to be.
Publishers are greedy, BUT gamers expectations are greedy too
Videogames cost $60-70. A movie ticket cost about $15. The average movie is 2 hours. That ratio would mean a video game story shouldnt even be past 10 hours nevermind these 20+ hour games we get AND with games we get to keep them unlike a movie ticket.
On top of that so much more development goes into a game. Literally having to create a world, animations, and act.
Hot Take: Out of all sports games have gone into this Card generation kind of pack opening thing, MLB/Baseball has handled it the best and the most easiest access to cards compared to other games.
I certainly wouldn't call GTA 4, better than 5. Hell, I'm currently replaying it. The driving controls there just feel weird(not bad) now, because Im used to 5's better driving. GTA 5 will have that feeling after 6 comes out.
The ragdolling out the windshield after a crash, still funny at times, but a little annoying while getting the Wanted lvl down or, chasing a target that keeps driving even if tires are shot.
And the way the character feels, again not bad, but its dated now. Feels like old GTA.
Its nostalgia. Some guy said GTA 5 blinds us by nostalgia which doesn’t really make sense. It’s still an active game so there’s nothing to be nostalgic about it. GTA 5 excels in its world/scope. But it still isn’t great because it’s mostly just empty. But its scale is still pretty amazing and is a sort of miracle it was able to fit onto the ps3/360.
GTA6 basically needs to feel like an MMO but single player as far as its immersion with NPCs, and such. There should be hundreds if not thousands of random world events, the ai should react differently each time to the same thing. The AI should also react to each other as well. Also the mission structure needs to be adjusted. Rockstar keeps relying on the same old go here, do this and finish order of their mission design.
I expect GTA 6 to be a true evolution of every aspect of their games.

GTA6 online will be but as consumers we have to understand companies have to continue to make money to invest in a product. A one time $70 purchase doesn't provide companies enough resources to continue to pay employees and create more content for a game. For those playing the story mode the most you'll have to spend is for DLC which I don't think is a bad thing. If I'm able to receive a plethora of new story mode content spending additional money for it seems fair.

Just for enjoyment i always do a play through on normal before I go back and beat it on hard personally. Only caveat to that would be if i played the game before or if it's a remake of something I've played before

In some games I wish I could turn off aim assist, I'm trying to aim past my enemy for a reason. Leading a shot is hard on the controller sometimes because of the soft locking.
GTA 5 is obviously 🐐 the character development in all three characters throughout the game is great to watch. How Franklin kinda becomes Michael’s son. Trevor being…..Trevor. And the freaks and strangers missions had me rolling sometimes. More customization and role play options than any other gta game. And not to mention mods. I feel like old heads love to shit on gta 5 😂
fr i knew this guy was buggin when he said the characters in GTAV weren't memorable like... they are the MOST out of all of the games.
I personally prefer the DualShock controller. Maybe it’s because I’ve been using them since I was a toddler. But I tend to tuck my pinky fingers in. Not comfy on the Xbox.
i think the first last of us should’ve had two separate endings to see who really would go through of the process of turning ellie into a cure, basically an epilogue of their world being “rebuilt”
Instead of two ending its showing just let you stream line one story or the other. Would’ve had more attachment to the story. Imagine only being able to play Eli your first play through. Then go back and play Abby’s next it’ll give you a new outlook on the whole game

This should be the last console generation for another 5-10 years and developers should focus on creative innovation over technical innovation.

Hot take: Arkham Knight had the most mediocre story in the Arkham series. Hush and Deathstroke were horribly misused. The batmobile is needlessly placed in EVERY mission. Arkham Knights plot twist was seeable from miles away. Scarecrow is the main villain but does practically nothing, plus no Scarecrow levels like in Asylum…but dont worry they have a batmobile scarecrow dlc mission! Plus, did we forget how it ran on pc in week 1? The graphics and combat HEAVILY carry the game
People always clowning Xbox controllers for needing batteries but the ps controllers might as well come with the cord attached since you constantly need to charge it
