Fallout 76 released several years ago to very poor reviews. Because hardly anyone played it at launch it was hard to find tips and tricks, new player guides, secrets, builds, beginner tips, beginner guides after the initial reviews dropped.
Fall Out 76 was free to download on Amazon Prime, so The Black Hokage decided to give it a shot in 2024 to see if things had improved. This video was recorded before the Fallout 4 and 76 update released.

Matt McMuscles did a video on what happened to Fallout 76…it was actually a two part video….it was a multitude of issues
Yet all are outdated and the game is fun now and growing with new players brought in from the show.
The community is nice when I first got on like last year someone gave me a bunch of weapons and armor randomly
Borderlands 2 was like that. Logged on and got loaded up with legendaries I couldn't use for another 40 levels.
@@Jetanium THIS, yeah they bless you with cool gear, but you cant use any of it until you grind out the boring ass game well into the end game. The game still sucks by fallout standards. Its the fallout game for the ESO crowd who cares more about RPing with others than engaging in the gameplay and story.
People have been dropping modded loot and reporting players on top of the constant xbox gift card scams
That’s the reason why this game sucks. It’s too lovey dovey and does not feel like a wasteland at all.
You should really give New Vegas a try because despite it's dated gameplay, it has the best writing and RPG mechanics in the series.
Also, it was made by Obsidian, the same studio that made the Outer Worlds
I thought about giving New Vegas a shot as I never played it. But after watching a couple of recent videos, it's just too dated. In both the looks and gameplay depts. It needs a remaster badly. And no, I don't want to download 100 mods to make the game somewhat modern.
@@doucheberry blame Bethesda for that. When Obsidian worked on New Vegas, Bethesda forced them to use their shitty game engine, as well as give them around 16 - 18 months to make the game. Had Obsidian been given more time, the game would've been better optimized
@@roam980 No, they weren’t “forced” to abide to a 18 month development process. They agreed to an 18 month development, but Obsidian being Obsidian is really bad at time management and thus they ended up biting more than they could chew, which resulted in New Vegas being the unfinished state it’s in and a lot of content being rolled back. Not the first time either, Obsidian also did the same thing with KOTOR II and more recently Outer Worlds, which are both pretty much left unfinished.
Tfw I was ready to start playing for the 1st time ever, I mod it to hell to get it playable, then Bethesda announces the Fallout 4 update so I'm forced to go back there & fix that game up before every mod breaks lmao

It's a good game imo, I loved my time with it, granted I didn't buy it, but it's a solid addition to the Fallout Lineup

There were 6 people at my CAMP last night. That’s never happened before. I had a little drop party with legendaries for them because I was so happy. It’s a rough game, sure, but it sure is friendly. Started playing a year ago, I only wish I had started sooner.
Question, what's your definition of a legendary, i see things like this said time to time, i see things like tutorials on how to no clip to places so you can fight bots for 20 mins just to get one 3 star.. and then i see me running out of credits in the scrip machine with left overs still needing to go in because legendary guns are easier to get than 5 pepperoni rolls at once lol.. like is there something i'm missing, are only really dope legendary weapons called 'legendary' while anything with 3 stars but also something you deem crap 'scrip'? or did you just drop any old thing out and think you did anything more than a vendor selling 3 star guns at 3 caps each?
@@CyPhaSaRin 3 stars, anything less is not as fun, the first star of all legendaries determines their value, anything that modifies damage/AP directly are usually the most sought after.
Anything consistently, anyway, not Assasins, Hunters, nocturnal, etc. the better the 2nd and 3rd star compliments the first the more the gun is worth; Personally I charge 1k caps per “viable” stars in the gun, as in one 3-star is worth 3k, but another one has not-so-good 1st/3rd star, but the 2nd is explosive, therefore is worth 1k, the ultimate factor being demand.
And of course I mod them out entirely beforehand to justify the price

From what I’ve read, it’s around the endgame and beyond where it “gets better”. So it makes sense that players that never stopped playing say it got better because they’ve already bypassed the main game. The rest of us though are screwed lmao
Yeah I have absolutely no motivation to even get past level 6.
When it gets better? Jeez I’m level 40 and still haven’t finished the main story because of all the bs you have to do so I just did side main quests but I still can’t stand playing the game.
@@TheGamingPrivate I hit the events didn't bother with any of the story until I hit 50 now I'm having a blast with my heavy weapons build melting everything with a mg42, 50 cal machine gun or plasma caster.

I'm playing games from 10-15 years ago now because xbox has been putting them on sale all month. So I'm playing all the things I never got a chance to play and the things I actually do love and hold up until today. I'm sort of done with newer games.

Start 76 yesterday instantly bored after creating a character so I decided to play 4 next gen for the first time and fell in love
Same shit. Never played it before and I booted it up last week to play it. Couldn’t get past the first few hours, I was dozing off and falling asleep at like 7:30pm, switched games and then stayed up until 2am 😂
All them fallout games is the same..stop it 😂 one with more lore and one with a live service..all games are slow and boring

@@relax4531 yea it is lol. I’ve been playing fallout since 08. 76 is a live service like destiny. It will never have the same depth and lore like traditional fallout. Only new Vegas was a little live from the start cause of the early death-claw encounter. They all slow. Walk for hrs picking up and looting and craft. More walking..ya bugg’n just bandwagons cause of the show. 76 is not bad all at cause it supposed to be 76 not 1-4

Definitely alot of people capping about having played fallout 1 & 2😂. But I will say more people played it than we think due to the fact it was easily pirated with torrents back in the day. Overall 76 still sucks, I tried it last year with gamepass and uninstalled it by the next day.

No it’s not “better” it’s just more “manageable”.
-The enemies are glitchy.
-Tried doing the “Mothman” event going on (as of this posted comment), & just as it was about to finish…..the game crashed 💀
-Power armor frozen glitch STILL after years this game has been out.
-Lag. So. Much. Lag. I have great internet btw.
-Stash boxes are still limited, unless you do the “scrapbox” stuff which helps yes, but I’m not paying a dumb subscription service for that✌🏻.
-Team invite glitches.
-Items get stuck while building at your camp.
-Inflation in 76? Cause ppl are getting too greedy jacking up the prices, & fast traveling is also taking more caps (yes I have travel agent perk too)
-That reminds me, perk cards “help” but don’t when say you wanna use a card, but now you can’t because you’ve maxed it out, & your stats are too low to use it now 🙃was it too hard to just let us have a fallout 4 perk build? Apparently Bethesda didn’t like that idea & decided to make things more complicated 🤦🏻♀️
-Events suck in this game. Only the “seasonal/limited” ones are actually worth a damn.
-I hate using power armor in this game. It feels “off” idk how to put it other than that :/
-The SAME DAMN SONGS play OVER AND OVER. If I hear “Butcher Pete” 1 more time, I’m nuking Bethesda headquarters lol ✌🏻💀

Short conclusion, yes….this game 💯 STILL sucks. The only way it’s “less sucky” is the community helping others out. It’s like they KNOW this game sucks, but if someone is around to give you spare ammo/junk/plans for free, you are gonna be alright for a bit anyways ✌🏻😂 thanks to whoever read this comment lol, I just wanted to say nice video too bro ☺️

I’m so tired of people saying “it sucked at launch but it’s wayyyy better now” it doesn’t matter how many updates they add, the game at its fundamental core, is garbage. Fallout is never meant to be an online game, only a single player experience. They can add all the updates they want but it’ll never have any depth or substance to it because it’s an online game.
Yes a lot of the quests are just straight up broken the grind for all the ingame currency sucks and the fact that most of the issues can be fixed with a premium subscription is just down right predatory and a scumbag move.
6:24 in deeper lore is kinda suggested that ai super computers would commit self destructive after gain consciousness and some nukes might be from that

The only game I played was outer worlds that I enjoyed but I would immediately want to play fall out 1/2 if they can keep the feeling to new Gen systems.
The vat system was changed since it's multiplayer you'd have to slow down time for everyone
The combat in new vegas is actually better than 4 in some aspects, mainly melee, enemy AI and enemy reaction to damage. Also the perk and skill system is monumentally better in FNV
where you and everyone else's math comes up wrong is that gamers that liked Fallout3 & 4 & new Vegas could go back and play fallout 1&2 for free through emulators, so it doesn't mean they were lying.

If you played fallout 3 and didn’t have a problem with the gameplay with that then you’ll have no problem with New Vegas, the rpg mechanics and story are objectively better than Fallout 3 and 4. Obsidian was robbed by Bethesda giving them only a year to make Fallout New Vegas.
