No Rest For The Wicked is the new Soulslike gameplay in early access from the same team who brought up Ori and The Blind Forest. The Black Hokage picked up the game on Steam after seeing a trailer to check out some of the best builds and weapons. Here are his impressions. Just don't expect to see any guides or tips.

Out of all the games that was shown at the game awards this one was my most anticipated. Day one cop for me!
I personally love the game. Just cleared the EA content, lots of fun, can't wait to run other builds. This game has a tremendous amount of potential.
I just got into Diablo and I’m a huge souls fan ima keep a eye out for this one

Is it just me or did the boss look like the evil spider dude from monsters inc? 😂😂
I loved this game. It’s been awhile since a game had me locked in . 🎉
On the replay it’s wayyyy more noticeable how much the frames dipped on that boss fight lol
You missed two areas to do before the boss fight. It would have given you another level or two making the boss much easier. The problem is that those areas are a little more hidden and not obvious and people tend to go straight along the path and get crushed by the boss (I did this too). They might want to consider changing that...and the parry system risk reward isnt there, especially early game, just dodge roll.
I think you would like tales of kenzara zau too it’s a lot like prince of Persia
turn on dynamic resolution, it works pretty well
After playing it myself all I can say is that it needs some optimization and better navigation (maybe a minimap).
After nit-picking it, all I can say that there needs to be a better way explain how dealing damage works cause I can't tell if weapons that rely on other stats (like dex for daggers and int for staves) are properly scaling in damage.
Hahaha I love the frame rate and other complaints when it’s just a get good moment. I felt the same exact way, then I figured out how to beat him and I can safely say it’s just a get good moment.
It’s all about which attacks you dodge and parry. His thrust attack is child’s play to parry, his other attacks are very difficult to time. He also gets exhausted after his long attack strings.
Also, dodge correctly… just mashing the dodge button does nothing. It’s still timing based. Gotta dodge at the right time. Too soon or too late you get hit

It is coming to console, it’s in early access for Pc rn to look for bugs and stuff like that before they release to all

Apparently you can just turn that off, but i like complaining about it and leaving it on instead, like why is it even a feature im the first place? Like, this game is so bad, i cant believe it has mostly positive reviews, people be botting steam reviews, i bet a million dollars

The devs didn't say but you can play right now regardless

@@theblackhokage Yeh I love ide of the game vibe etc, but at the moment almost everything is broken in game from inventory system itemization to auto jump from cliff lol they got long way to clear that mess.

After you done with this boss game it easy until Crucible it how bad balancing is in this game at the moment.
Yeah the game was easy for some people who dont have families or a life, but I actually like myself so i dont play games like this.

@smokescreen4 what makes it worse?? Be in mind that this game is in Early Access... it's not at 100% complete. The campaign story is not even complete there are more areas that's going to be added more bosses more enemy more items weapons so on... lots of hot fixes lots of reworking... by the time this game is fully released which it is slated to release on ps5/Xbox and possibly mobile... this will be in EA for until next year. For what it is and what is to come it has a huge potential to have a successful release...
