We have Mercedes V8 and Ford V8 that sound amazing. We also have Wrangler V8 that is a noise. Sorry, personal preferences I know, but yeah, that's not my choice at all.
@@DUNEATV except the fact that Ford is dumping as much torque onto the ground as your VA with their tiny V6. That's the point of the Bronco being lighter but still way way more torquey. I love all off-road though so I'm just happy to see Ford back in the game again :-)
I considered all three of those before purchasing our new grenadier to us it seems to be the best compromise it is built like a tank it looks like an F-350 on the bottom side it has front and rear lockers central locker and it's quiet and comfortable the right off-road is incredible
You say the Toyota isn't reliable, and you compared it to a Land Rover!? Have you ever driven a Land Cruiser? Of the three, the TLC and Bronco will still be running in 40 years. In 41 years, the only one left it the TLC. This must be a joke.
Maybe an old land cruiser... Those new ones are all junk regardless the brand. Made to break and spend your money. Too many electronics. I'd go with the one with less electronics.
I was recently VERY put off by a bronco owner whos doors were rubbing from new. It looked horrible and was going to the body shop to get repaired. This seems to still be a problem for some people on the bronco forums. They made it look so good but ford needs to up the reliability some more and fix these issues.
The sales of Jeeps and Rams are the only thing keeping Stellantis afloat, Jeep sales are down by 20%, but they are far from being bankrupt, the rest of Stellantis however.....
I’m not understanding these comparisons. It’s always the new LC against the Wrangler and Bronco. I guess it does compete with them for buyers but it’s a wildly different vehicle that’s more similar to a Grand Cherokee.
Grand Cherokee compares to Hyundai Sonata, not Landcruiser. Landcruiser is in class of its own. Address the ground clearance with 35 tires and set both with open diff, 4H, and let's then talk who offroads.
Might be in the market in like 2 years. When looking at suv's that maybe would replace my 08 4runner... I keep thinking theres no great replacement... The prices are pretty insane and mpgs dont improve drastically enough to say the car payment is worth it... Even with almost 210k miles on the dash i think it holds its own with all of these...
Nice comparo guys, interesting colors. I love looking at that Bronco, its a piece of art in my book. Im just maybe not man enough or love men enough to drive it. Now the Wrangler.... to each his own. The motor is the star in that rig. The Toyota makes the most sense for almost everyone. But thats no fun. Bronco for the win.
Literally couldn’t stop complaining about a mild build v8 engine paired with amazing off-road features the entire video. I promise it’s better than the n/a v6 pentastar you could’ve had in that wrangler.
Except that's the heritage edition where you cannot get it properly the way you want it. You pay all that money for whatever you can get. Or you got to fight with dealerships. I hate Ford these days. I'm a Ford person saying that too. Overpriced for what they are nothing but junk after the sale.
You guys keep complaining about the Jeep and the Bronco not having power seats. However they are the most capable at water fording, up to 33 inches, and removable doors. without doors, and in up to 33 inches of water, the bottom sill of the door would be underwater, and definitely up to the bottom of the seat where those electric motors and actuators would reside. In most of these cases water and electric equipment does not mix. Most consumers are not going to pay the up charge to have said electronics water proofed for the "convenience" of electric seats, when a manual adjuster works just as well, and would not become a failure point should they go too deep into a stream of water. These two vehicles where not built for the champagne and caviar crowd that don't have the ability to adjust a seat manually. It is surprising that so called vehicle guys can't figure that simple concept out. Sophistication does not always equate to capability. Overall I did appreciate the review of these vehicles.
Ford and Jeep both are equipped with large off road tire. Why didn't you do the same for Toyota before doing a comparison? These tires will surely give an advantage over regular tire.
Ford and Jeep came with those tires...... Maybe you should contact Toyota about tire size. This is simply as they come from manufacturer , should we add accessories then the JEEP will really win!
Where was the offroad part? Our normal roads around here are rougher than that. I could have driven my bmw 116i saloon car over that without any problems, and that is pretty low to the ground. The LC is way more capable than they think. I have a 2023 150 series LC prado and that will go pretty much anywhere over some very rough terrain. They need to put proper tyres on the LC and then take them to a proper off road track not that flat as a pancake dirt track.
Why I have a 2020 rubicon and the reason why I got a 392 final edition to join it. They are stellar vehicles also the bronco will drop a valve eventually lol they have a recall on their engines. The prado you got there has no bump stops in the control arms and they cheapened its chassis from the real 300 Land Cruiser. I would avoid it like the plague. Also it’s a hybrid so it’s worse long term. But worst engine of the three is the bronco followed by the Toyota and the car that will be alive in 20 years is the 392.
We don’t get the Patrol nor Pajero in NA, although the new Nissan Armada is the same platform and styling as the Patrol, and is finally getting the much needed Pro 4X treatment
You don’t want inexperienced offroaders having that kind of equipment on their vehicle because they will get themselves back into a spot most ppl can’t get to them and they shouldn’t have been in.
Tbh as soon as you brought the 392 in, the Wrangler was the better vehicle by miles. The "Land Cruiser" just looks great. The Bronco however is as ugly as Ford's QA issues. This wasnt a fair comparison from the get go
I could care less about wireless charging and touch screens. That Land Cruiser is 65 to 70 grand US. If they didn't put all that junk in there, it could have been a $45k car. It only has 8.7 inches of ground clearance. 😅 That's the same as a BMW X5. I think they were trying to make the price point around 50k but that was during pre-Biden days. The 4runner is a much better financial bet with better out of the box capability.
@@jacobgreenbough5678 I just did some research and you are right, I thought it had AVS which not only it doesn’t, it’s not even a type of air suspension.
All three cars are very nice. All three are hideously overpriced. Only one will be reliable and last a long time, driven hard, but has a tiny gas tank and no range. The other two are more capable.
Wranglers are far and away one of the worst on-road vehicles, the underlaying 80 year old technology they are based on was never really meant to be driven above 50MPH, keep them off-raod where they belong though and they are great. Driving a Wrangler on an interstate is brutal. Stellantis support for their "American" brands is terrible ... tried to get a co-worker to sign an NDA for the problems they were having with their JEEP for like $2500 ... shameful. That TLC has 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque in a hybrid while the Bronco with the ecoboost V6 is getting like 320HP and 410 lb-ft of torque. People are having issues with that ecoboost engine though. I also have friends that have complained about body panels, rattles and just general fitment problems ... though they all agree the Bronco as a daily is easily better than a Wrangler of any trim level. Toyota Hybrid systems reliability is the industry leader ... hands down ... no question. Couple that with the fact that a 2-Door heritage Bronco with a V6 is very close to the same price of the new base TLC the choice then becomes "what do you want it for?".
The TLC was definitely designed with road comfort in mind. It has an IFS, just like the Bronco, but doesn’t have a removable roof, so much less wind noise. It's also much more reliable than the other two and just as capable offroad. I wish they kept the V6 from the previous generation instead of the V4 turbo, though.
Why would a guy complain about the sound of the V8?!
