    • @stephenwalczak3166
      @stephenwalczak3166 Год назад +1

      What feed pipe do you mean?
      The small plastic one on top that goes to the throttle body or the metal one he took off, below the thermostat?
      The small pipe that he said gets brittle is found cheap on ebay.
      The metal pipe has an o-ring. Once again you can find that o-ring in a Oil cooler gasket kit on ebay. There are a bunch of o-rings in the pack so just match the old one to find the new one.
      If you're going to muck around with that coolant pipe it pulls out of the oil cooler as it has another o-ring on the end into the oil cooler. Use a small amount of rubber grease to slide it back in. There should be loads of videos about the oil cooler replacement and those pipes.

    • @EllsAutoCare
      @EllsAutoCare  Год назад

      Yeah Stephen is right you can get the brittle pipe off eBay cheap enough…
      But the metal pipe down the front (on his one at least. Had a sort of flange that helped them mate and didn’t have a seal.
      Buttt! It very common on these for the head surfice to erode and create a bad mating surfice, for that I don’t really know what the cheapest repair would be. the best repair would be to have the head repaired or replaced

    • @stephenwalczak3166
      @stephenwalczak3166 Год назад

      Yeah, I didn't go want to go into great detail. The metal pipes from thermostat housing to water pump and multiple through the oil cooler should all have o-rings or rubber seals. Definitely rubber seal around the flange you mentioned and care needs to be taken when refitting as to not deform it.
