Hi I learned a lot from you. I was able to install my windows 10 on my dell laptop. Its 08/2020 your ways still working. It save me couple of $$$. Instead of going to Computer shop I installed it myself. Thanks again!
Since during the process there was never an indication to remove the USB drive I left it plugged in all the way until everything was finished and I was logged in and the desktop was on screen. Including all restarts, it was never a problem, the installation continued every time from the HD. Not the USB.
At 6:50 in the video, I mentioned to remove the USB once the install process is well under way. If not removing it wasn't an issue for you then great!! Glad it worked out :)
@@PC_Monkey yes, you said to prevent starting up from USB again. I think that applies only to older computers. On modern computers with uefi bios the HD remains the 1st boot option while you can choose to start up from USB. Every restart will automatically be from HD. When you install a Linux system, regardless if it matters or not, before a restart the system will ask to remove the installation media.

Very good Video. Have two questions please. 1) Bought new DELL Desktop Mini Tower 3891 Inspriron with Intel i5 10400. Has WINS10 PRE installed on a small 256G SSD. I bought/installed new Ram Sticks(2x16G) and 2T M.2 SSD. 1a) Did I do wrong in taking out the PRE installed 256G SSD because I am going to CLONE my 3T SATA Folders/Files which measures a total of 429G, which has WINS10 ALREADY on it. Should I LEAVE 256G SSD in, setup Computer/Update THEN take it out, then put new 2T SSD in then Clone??? I will have my 3T SATA hooked to a USB EHD for the Clone. Need guidance. What would you do??? 2) Finally. switching out SSD the screw to secure the 2T M.2 SSD tightens good but I noticed a slight bend in the SSD so I backed it off. I don't want it to be TOO loose for reasons and come a "little" bit loose then my Computer go nuts. Any help THANKS.
Hey, i have a laptop with a SSD and HDD. Around 2:50 where you delete the partions. Would i still follow the same steps in deleting all existing partions and leaving one "unallocated space" partion? And will Windows install on the SSD by default?
thank you for the great video , I should have paid more attention when you talk about custom install and deleting the partitions. I had about 7, and I kept refreshing and finally found the right drive install. seems to be good.
Hey thanks for uploading this video! I was having problems booting up my laptop but once I used the media creation tool that you showed in one of your videos, I got the hp logo at the start up. Thats was a huge relief. Anyways Im checking this video out right now so that I can install windows properly. Thank you once again.
So the install went fine but the updates are just getting stuck? Try restarting and running them again. If that does not work, then just give it some time. Often they update on their own.
Thank you so much for this video it solved my issue of not getting past start up screen. All I needed to change was the boot order so it booted from my hard drive.
Hi, your videos are absolutely helpful, i only have one issue, once i install windows (4:18) the screen shows the windows logo with its buffer and in less than 5 seconds the screen goes black and gets me to the beggining, where you choose the language, any suggests? i already tried to unplug the usb once it finishes but that doesnt do nothing. Thank you for your video, unfortunately my Asus laptop froze again at 4:25 in your video. It won't go any further and the loading wheel stopped spinning...I'm not sure what else to do, is this another problem with hardware or ram or something? It would load and spin when starting up and not do anything, which is why I went through your video processes and came to putting the windows operating system back on...Thank you!
so i got to the installer menu at 2:54 and i couldn't choose any storage drivers! could this possibly be a problem with the hard drive? its been making a weird clicking sound and the boot bios menu told me that the disk drive wasnt found so maybe thats the problem..?
Have you ran into any problems where you could tell some function of the laptop wasn't working likely due to Windows 10 not having whatever driver you need? This looks like it could be frustrating updating an older computer as I doubt Windows 10 will let you know what drivers it couldn't find for say if your laptop has a special audio control setup that uses special drivers/software for it to function.
How do I backup my data or not erase data from other drives during this precess. C drive has to be formated for sure but how Do i prevent formating other drives. Anyone help pleaee.
when i hit the enter at 1:31 it just comes up with a black screen and after a while shows a bunch of dots. I've ran diagnostics and it doesn't show any issues and i watched your other video on 'boot device not found' but it still doesn't work
Did you create your install media yourself or purchase it? Even if your diagnostic test cleared the HDD, I would try replacing it if the install wont complete to be sure.
Hello, Thank you for all your helpful videos. I have Lenovo G510 with Windows 8.1 that is stuck in 'Automatic Repair' loop and won't boot up. I have see your other videos and tried to trouble shoot it and nothing worked. I have prepared a USB windows 10 Boot up drive and changed the Boot up sequence to USB through F12 key. But I am not getting the screen that you showed at 1:52. It is showing Lenovo on black screen and circles going round trying to boot up nothing is happening. Any help would be appreciated.
Will we have to section the hard drive after this? Do you have videos on that? Also after selecting language it asked for a product key (I'm reinstalling) and which operating system I want
You dont have to, no. Most times it will pull the product key automatically later in the install so if possible, choose the option to skip for now and enter it later.
Thank you, thank you so much. I was having so much problems with my PC, but I followed your step by step process and I'm happy to say it's up and running. God bless.

For me when it gets to this part 4:12 here, the entire pc permanently freezes when it says “Getting devices ready” The loading bar stops spinning and the only way to leave is to force-shutdown. Any ideas for what the problem and fix might be? I believe it’s a physical problem but I did the Dell diagnostics that you showed in one of your other videos, and it says that there is nothing physically wrong…
I did a factory resetting without download recovery media image from dell into usb. I just shift+restart and went to blue screen to reset. Why do I need to usb to reset window instead just doing it from the hard drive? Thanks in advance
@@PC_Monkey I didn’t do Dell Operating System Recovery Image from dell website. Instead I reset it from within the system. I appreciate your response. If you just could tell me why are you using USB.? I did my reset without it.
@@matubalfaisal2600 Again, you dont need a USB to do a reset. You reset your operating system using a recovery image. Thats a reset. You cant install new 'from within the system' if there is no working system that exists. Make sense now?
Hey after the step you mentioned just before getting ready I got an option to select a widnwos 10 version on my laptop and I clicked on 1 of it then after getting ready I am stuck at the lockscreen please help

You probably won't read this over 2 years later. But this helped alot! I brought a new laptop and had to wipe it and it powered down during the wipe and took windows off 🤣 thanks man

Hey, I'm doing it on a Lenovo, I bought the USB from Microsoft, and the problem is that it doesn't detect any place to install it. It says it it doesn't detect any storage controller. And i try to find it manually but it doesn't allow me. What do I have to do? Thanks
Was your Lenovo computer working well before this attempted install? / Why are you installing Windows this way?
@@PC_Monkey I just bought this laptop, and i was trying to install it for the first time.
@@MiguelGarcia-ni1ji Was the laptop working?
@@PC_Monkey yes
@@MiguelGarcia-ni1ji Instead of installing this way, try just booting up the computer and going to the Microsoft website. Instead of creating a Install Media USB, just click on the 'Update' button to update the computer. Does that work?
Thanks dude I just revamped my pc with a backup drive and skills I know now.

thank you for the great video , I should have paid more attention when you talk about custom install and deleting the partitions.

Update did not work says files are missing or were deleted
So the install went fine but the updates are just getting stuck? Try restarting and running them again. If that does not work, then just give it some time. Often they update on their own.
My pc is trash lol
Now as I start up my laptop, it says hard disk error
I cant boot into my BIOS or anything else

Hi, your videos are absolutely helpful, i only have one issue, once i install windows (4:18) the screen shows the windows logo with its buffer and in less than 5 seconds the screen goes black and gets me to the beggining, where you choose the language, any suggests? i already tried to unplug the usb once it finishes but that doesnt do nothing. Thanks in advance
Was your Dell working well before this attempted install? If not, what was happening?
@@PC_Monkey The PC is from a friend and he said "it worked like a month or so and the just go off", the analysis of the components says that everything is ok, with the green check mark, so I don't know what I could try
@@adggez6512 Did you purchase the install media USB or create it yourself? I would try creating it yourself again and trying again. If it fails, perhaps replace the HDD anyway
@@PC_Monkey Thanks, Ill try that today, thanks for answering a 2 year video, have a good day!

It may be an issue with your hard drive. Replace it and try to install to the new one
so i got to the installer menu at 2:54 and i couldn't choose any storage drivers! could this possibly be a problem with the hard drive? its been making a weird clicking sound and the boot bios menu told me that the disk drive wasnt found so maybe thats the problem..?
You can test to see if the Hard Drive is ok as seen here; ruclips.net/video/IsqINCxx_Ik/видео.html
Thank you for saving my laptop! It worked perfectly! The only difference is that the boot menu was in f9 rather than f12. Your effort is appreciated!
I added F9 to the description for others. Great to hear and thanks for the updated info to help everyone with !! :)
Thank you so much!! my mom’s laptop got corrupt and your videos helped me fix it.

How do I backup my data or not erase data from other drives during this precess. C drive has to be formated for sure but how Do i prevent formating other drives. Anyone help pleaee.
I don’t get that screen at the beginning when hitting f12. Also, I can’t download windows 10 onto a USB and have no disc drive. What do I do?
Try the other function keys. Some Dell computers use different keys. Is your Dell working otherwise? Why are you installing Win10 this way?
when i hit the enter at 1:31 it just comes up with a black screen and after a while shows a bunch of dots.
Then the hard drive may be bad. Replace it and try the install again.
Hiii
Did you make a vedio about upgrading windows
When you install windows and chose the type of installation and chose upgrade option.
You made my day.
Do you have classes for a technicians?
Glad your all set :)
No, sorry. I dont :(

What should I do and what’s wrong on my dell laptop when it say “error 0x80300024” at the your video step 3:40?
Can you run the diagnostic test as seen here? ruclips.net/video/w3XfE-ghbhs/видео.html

Was the computer working well before this install? Was it booting up and going to the desktop?
@@PC_Monkey No, it was also freezing during the loading.
I did a factory resetting without download recovery media image from dell into usb. I just shift+restart and went to blue screen to reset.
Why do I need to usb to reset window instead just doing it from the hard drive?
Thanks in advance
You dont need a USB to reset. You need a USB to reinstall.
You can reset from 'within the system' when there is a existing and functioning system. This video is a new install. For a new install, you need install media. You cant install new 'from within the system' if there is no working system that exists. Make sense now?

Hey after the step you mentioned just before getting ready I got an option to select a widnwos 10 version on my laptop and I clicked on 1 of it then after getting ready I am stuck at the lockscreen please help
Your stuck at a lock screen? What lock screen?
What version did you select? It should match the one your Product Key is made for.
At 6:10, after clicking 'continue with limited setup' it says 'something went wrong' and the option coming was 'try again' and 'restart'. I clicked on try again and it is showing 'just a minute.....' and it is loading since then. How to solve it?
Was your Dell computer booting up and working well before this attempted install?
@@PC_Monkey No, But now I did force shutdown, and after restarting, it didn't say 'something went wrong' and rest process completed and windows reinstalled successfully. Thanks.

I have an Inspiron 17 5000 that has a HDD and is very slow. I'm going to install a new SSD. The laptop came with Windows 8 and I subsequently upgraded to 10. I have the driver disks but don't have any of the original operating system software. I followed your download video (thanks!) and have a USB for a Windows 10 install. *** One important step left out ***
This fresh Win10 install process will delete everything on your Hard Disk. Have a backup or copy of important files. Try to repair your Windows installation before doing this !!!
*** The step ***
Maybe I didn’t catch it, but select *New* after you Delete all the partitions. Windows will warn it may create other partition, you want that for Windows boot manager to work. Put Windows in the Biggest Partition you can. Thanks 🙏🏽
Good Video BTW.
If I'm looking to completely do a reset of my laptop too will this do it or should i run the reset first and then install like this? I'm looking to completely reset my laptop as was running slow.
Reinstalling Win10 as seen here is the best 'reset' you can do :) No need to reset first.
Dell XPS 8700
Received computer with windows 8.1 installed and was offered upgrade to Windows 10 when it came available. Recently had a problem with computer and thought my C: hard drive had crashed but it turns out my secondary had. Long story short it played havoc with my computer and it would not start just kept looping at the Dell start up logo. I was lucky enough to get a recovery image from Dell and was able to bring it back to the way I received it when I bought it. If I use this Windows 10 usb install will it be activated so I can use it?
