When I run my diagnostics it says my hard drive is fine, but then BIOS says I have no hard drive. I have had a battery issue for several months where the system wasn’t recognizing it (due to having the wrong cord wattage which ended up blowing out the battery), but I usually bypass that and the system runs fine. Today it just crashed twice and I haven’t been able to use it since and I’ve done all the trouble shooting I can think of. I just need to be able to access the data long enough to transfer it to the new laptop I’m going to have to buy.....
It can be caused by sudden shut down due to battery failure. In that case, windows locks the hard disks with bit locker. That's why the hard disk is not available for boot. You need your bit-locker password that can be found out using your windows account.

Thanks a lot man it worked I thought I installed my windows through legacy but I switched to UEFI like you said and it booted up first time (I removed the windows boot manager option too so it booted straight from my main SSD) huge thank you!

This was a great instruction! Thank you. It completely fixed the issue. Very easy instructions to follow! 😊👍

Same issue and also i haven’t find the answer
Did you find the solution?
It can be caused by sudden shut down due to battery failure. In that case, windows locks the hard disks with bit locker. That's why the hard disk is not available for boot. You need your bit-locker password that can be found out using your windows account.
I have a dell laptop the problem with it is it shows no Bootable device found and in the diagnosis my hard drive is fine and only the battery has some issue so does replacing or fixing the battery fix the no Bootable device found issue
Thank you so much, you saved my life. I was already crying because I didn't know how to get out of that screen. It worked. Thanks a lot! ❤

Just slapped in some ram from a different computer and got the error

Hey, when I went to change from UEFI to legacy I followed ur step in going to secure boot enable and doing what you did but when I went back to enable legacy option ROMS it said legacy option ROMS cannot he enabled with PTT enabled
Edit: I got it to work, but then it didn’t load up the window sign like you got, it told me to press any key to reboot.. any ideas please it’s a good gaming laptop I got 3 years ago for like 800
If you cannot locate the options to switch between or if switching does not work, then skip that step and continue with the rest of the video :)
What was the result of the Diagnostic Scan?
@@PC_Monkey thank you so much
Hello, Me too i tried to switch from UEIF to legacy and restarted the PC, still not working.
Did diagnostics too, no driver error shown, but still getting ‘no bootable device found’!
Please help me out.
@@chhetrysunel If none of the steps in this video identified the problem and the diagnostic text came back with everything passing, then your looking at an operating system issue most likely. " Legacy Option ROMs cannot be enabled with PTT enabled"
You may have to disable secure boot and adjust the settings as shown in this video
@@PC_Monkey still does not work.

This video should help you with the PTT thing
Go to security and PTT, then disable it
I have the same problem, and when I disabled PTT it allowed me to enable a legacy Option ROMs however the final Legacy is still greyed out

One thing I suggest everyone tries if they’re getting this popup with the non-legacy option, be sure to check what Secure Boot mode you have and change it if necessary.
