Your honesty is very refreshing thanks so much🎉
So nice of you
Going to try this today. My boyfriend said it doesn't work on ours, so hoping we can figure it out after watching this!
Great information thank you
I purchased the same "universal" trimmer head, but I had an odd model electric trimmer that none of the "universal" nut threads matched. So I took the red nut with the smallest hole, drilled it out and tapped it have the threads I needed. So all you need to know is your thread size and pitch to then purchase the tap and corresponding drill bit to match. Once I had it connected and working, the "universal" Echo Speed Feed 400 is great. I finally did not have to stop multiple times to fix my trimmer line.
@DJTurkey,
Big thanks for that idea Brotha ! Thought I had to return this head and deal with my old crappy one. Tapped it out and worked like a charm!
Thank you!🍻
They call it a Weed Eater because Weed Eater is a brand name of string trimmer. Sort of like how everyone calls bandages "Band Aids"
Thanks for making this video so I could see how to install this on my Echo.
good deal - THANKS BROTHER
You bet
Probably go for like $60-80 in my area. I really like the echo speed feed heads. Looks pretty similar to the one you got with the adapters. I just changed one a couple days ago with these same adapters and it’s not as easy as they make it seem. Thanks for the upload!
Right I figured I get about $75
Great video, I can almost see everything
Lol I know light was horrible this video
Hi, how do you fill fresh line on this head ?
“It comes with whatever the fuck this is”😂😂😂
Immediately thumbs up!!!!
Well done dude 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂 thank you
😂😂
I hit like to at that point lol 😂
Very informative video there andrew on this universal trimmer head sucks that the trimmer head u got from Amazon didn't work.
It worked just not for this model the description was wrong
Good video👍👍 I just got a Shakespeare Universal trimmer Head and It came wth 20 Nuts an Bolts 🫨 I have a Left hand threaded Shaft on my Homelite and only one of these Nuts fit. Unreal an frustrating searching on Amazon for a new Head when they dont specify if its Left or Right headed thread in the discription. Anyway great video Thanks I smashed the like button when you said Sanity and Whatever the F*ck this is 😂👍
I bought an Echo 400 Speed Feed for my DeWalt 40v Max stringer. Fit out of the box. Didn’t need to modify anything.
Nice I got unlucky I guess
@@RepairGangDown here in Alabama it is also called a weedeater 🤣🤣
In your video, it looks like the trimmer has a right hand thread, but that kit you linked to is for left hand thread, does it come with both? Thanks for the vid 👍
Hmmm comes with both
Will this work on a murray gas weedeater M2510?🤔
Yes it should
@@RepairGang thank you for your reply. If you would have said (Yes it will), instead of yes it SHOULD, I would order it right away. But again thank you for your reply.
i'm having issues all the time with this universal trimmer head not releasing more string on the bump.
I wonder if the strings too thick or if there's a clog or backwards
I'm looking for a aluminium strimmer head for aSTIHL FSE60 ELECTRIC STRIMMER?

I am hoping there is a video showing how to change a string trimmer to a blade bush Wacker because string trimmers just get wound around the weeds and the weeds break the string ! I got some very nasty weeds!
I will make that video next week
I really appreciate your vidio. For an instructional video. You kind of goofed a little bit. That nut you put in there that attaches it to trimmer was supposed to be pressed all the way into the plastic. That's why you're having it all wobbly trying to install it.
Weed whacker c'mon 😆 Now you gotta go out and get a freebie that matches up with the Amazon piece a chit ! 👍
Yeah I probably have 20 or so
In the dark 😮
Yeah.. my bad
awesome up until none of the nuts fit the thingy. The black one worked for you. Now I'm so lost. I guess I go to hardware store and find a nut smaller than the black one. The red one didn't work either. I bought identical universal trimmer head.
One should have worked
So happy to see this video. Learned so much. Now...I gotta modify. Spoke my lingo too...lol
Weedwhacker here
Hell yeah
Next time it would've been nice to see how you took it off
I know 😂 I'm sorry I was still learning RUclips videos
@@RepairGang No problem other wise great job keep going
Dude, I’ve been having the most success with your explanation, but why did you record in such low light? I found myself so frustrated trying to see what you were actually doing. 🙄
Yeah I noticed that one this video. I'm trying to get better lighting and future videos
Why did you not record this in better light?
@@LHLWASRIGHT I was trying to get it and failed my newer videos have better loght
You are actually complicating things by putting the string and guts of the head together first - just stay focused on getting the bottom back on the trimmer first 🤣 ((for clumsy people like me))
In Rhode Island we call them weed whackers. Awesome video tho helped me a bunch. Got the same exact package and was like wtf 😂
"like-so"....; (&)...: "what-ever the fuck, this thing is...(?)." funny-stuf! 'good-timez'. lol
need a light its to dark,,,
I know now
Can't trust Am a zon...pshhhh.
Right
Remember, this head will not work on a STIHL fs40 bent shaft trimmer. Don’t lose $40 trying to find out.
