I just purchased this for my old John Deere BC 1600 and it works great. Changed out and running in less than 5 minutes.

This was very helpful. I followed the directions and was no where close to what you have shown in your video. Awesome, it worked. I gave up weeks ago.

Oh good I'm not the only one. Finally got it on and the line disappeared quickly. Bump fed it and the line went all over the place and the head almost fell off. So mad! Taking it back in a baggie. I asked the guy if it didn't work could I return it. He said yes.

I have this version of weed eater. I used the brass adapter, but it would not go in on the small end. Seems the molding process left a little lip inside. I took a little sandpaper wrapped around a screwdriver shaft and sanded just the inner lip of the black housing. Once around and it took the lip off and the adapter slipped in.

I have the Ryobi trimmer and the way these replacement parts goes together the bolt fits into the bottom of the replacement head and turns counter-clockwise which also turn the bottom piece of the replacement head. If by accident the bottom piece of the replacement head turns clockwise, it will loosen the bolt that is holding it on. I also couldn't use the large washer as most of the diagrams show. Leaving that off allowed me to tighten the bolt a little tighter. I also couldn't use the the thick black spacer.

I ended up calling the support number and gave my trimmer model number. The lady talked me through how to remove my shaft extender and what parts to use to affix this bump head. I was very thankful, left a 5 star review and like using this bump head better than the original. I would recommend this product. The instruction manual was poorly written but the customer service was exceptional.

I agree the paper instructions are not very good. This video makes it clear on installation.

sorry for this comment but i cant see wth im typing here just so ya kno
    Just not impressed...
The guy at Lowes said this would fit the Stihl FS56 RC that im using . Atfer watching your video the metal washer doen not fit over the shaft and using the the org one with your pwasher still have way to big a gap. Ill keep playing with it a bit but as of right now im thinking its going back to lowes.

I love these videos. They always show a weed eater that no one has. I have a stihl curved shaft and his video doesn’t help a bit. Mine has a male end coming out of the shaft. This video shows a female end. Thanks for making a product and then not showing how to install it for a stihl. I won’t ever waste my money on your crap again.

This device seems like a great idea, but to describe it as "universal" is even remotely correct even with the variety of adapters supplied. Why cant a list of weed trimmers with exact manufacturer and model number that this works with be supplied to avoid all the frustration ? I would specifically like a model with cord that I can buy to get this working with. This is reverse of what it should be.

Useless video unless you have that exact model trimmer. I have a Stihl curved fs 50c and bought push n load and the wind n go and both won’t fit. Ughh why can’t they make the instructions easier? Waste of $40
