I got denied multiple times too. I don’t understand why landlords/ property managers are allowed to keep taking applications even when they have more than enough offers within their requirements. Such a frustrating and deceiving process.

Oh my gosh, I know! It's been so difficult. By the time I get one, I will have saved enough for a house. It's so frustrating!!

Welcome to what you get in Florida! You have no idea what you are getting yourself into moving to Florida at these prices! $$$$$$$ Stay where you are! You will be much better off! Financially and not be evicted like everyone else is! Also, have you really done your research on the crime in the areas you are looking in?? In addition don’t forget your car payment, gas, car insurance, rent insurance, electric bill, water /sewer, garbage and food bill that will all be added to that 1,700 rental!!!

@@theworldspublicist Checking in after 4 months... Are you able to keep up with rent or did you have to rent a room and/or live with a roommate? A one bedroom is about $1,850 here in Florida.

That first one in OP looked a bit sketchy. I had an apartment like the first one, but not updated, in an ok section of Hallandale Beach (back them it was just known as Hallandale) -- $600 for a 2/1. Back in 1996.

Took me 1 year to be accepted in an apartment. Meanwhile I was renting a bedroom. Way harder than I expected when I moved from Boston.

It's crazy how the real estate market is in South Florida because you can easily get bought out by somebody that's not even a local. A lot of these people rent these properties as vacation homes keeping the residents frustrated.

I’ve lived in South Florida my whole life and this is how apartment searching is always especially when you are not going for a luxury high rise building that has multiple units available at any given time.
FYI we are searching in the same areas🤣 within a similar price range!!!

Just buy some land in central Florida and put up a manufactured home. Cheap living and you own the land.
    Don't waste $1,700 on a slumlord.

I guess you not a Floridian. It's not quite that easy. You must live in a Democratic state where that is allowed in certain areas.
