Yes but Sweeney Todd in it's entirety existed all the way back to the seventies as the Broadway musical that the movie was based on. The first film was perfection because it gave us a tragic look into Arthur’s development into Joker some of his actions warranted and some not but it was so well told and shown
With this
I see cash grab because Gaga from what I’m seeing is the villain of the movie
Almost looks as if she’s forcing Arthur into the Joker by pushing him towards that side of himself “joker” that isn’t afraid or small
A different telling of their relationship
The scene of joker running from joker is probably someone else dressed as joker as Arthur probably doesn’t want to be that person anymore until he’s forced into kill the imposter pushing him closer towards a full conversation
We’ll probably see Gaga excited from the attention being with Joker and do everything in her power to keep Joker and erase Arthur due to the same reason Gaga’s Harley masks her fear and weakness with loudness and boldness hence her attraction for joker
Bottom Line the movie looks mid, the attention to Gaga tells me everything I need to know about the film and they should of stopped with the first one because now we’re comparing when we should of had just one perfect and I do mean perfect Joker movie

If only we didn't get the exact same music and sound direction for every single trailer in the last 15 years. Don't you think they all sound the same now? Long, drawn out, dramatic chords, getting faster and faster until STOP! Cue some poignant dialogue from the movie to softer music and then build up again until another sudden stop with the title of the movie. Getting old!
Hell, I saw an ad for a reality TV show about Sylvester Stallone's daughters and it had the same format lol.
I find it to be very distracting. Probably some AI generating it all at this point.
