@@emilianolaurenzi464 You use any tank poorly and you will lose it. Such as sky lining themselves on a ridge with no infantry or artillery support like they did. M1 is just fine. T-14 isn't that impressive. It's main enhancement is that finally the crew doesn't immediately die when the autoloader carousel cooks off due to their protected compartment. However that same compartment makes it weaker in close in environments as the crew are reliant on remote weapons and optics as the commander can't be in an open protected position with good visibility cause he is in the front hull with the driver and gunner. There is no 'uber' tank anywhere in the world. There are tanks that get their job done. And the T-14 is a unique way to solve the one weakness of Russian armor which as been ammo cookoffs killing the crew instantly, though it still leaves the vehicle heavily damaged and perhaps even permanently lost. M1's blow off panels were a different solution, leaves the vehicle mostly unscathed, though left it vulnerable to being more easily knocked out from cluster bomblets.

@@akumazakazaki9510 Tanks or any other single war machine do not win wars on the ground. Tanks, IFVs, and Infantry work together as combined arms to complement each other. Believe it or not the tank's main role is not to engage other tanks but support infantry. There are so many examples to cite. Including the Russian experience of losing lots of T-80s in Chechnya in built up areas. Which is something the T-14 is inherently vulnerable to due to its reliance on remote optics and weapon stations because of its crew position. In open terrain warfare it is a very big upgrade on crew survivability for Russian tankers. Which is a big thing when you consider the Russian population is decreasing. And why they are sticking with an autoloader. Every 3 vehicles that is another crew if you have a crew of 3 instead of 4. Even though it puts a higher maintenance workload on each crew member due to there being one less.
@@Cragified 1- I know in advance that the tanks are to support the infantry and all the tanks that exist in the world are vulnerable in urban combat, it is something obvious and there is no point in mentioning it, this argument of yours has no context in the discussion, You're diverting the topic 2- "Which is something the T-14 is inherently vulnerable to due to its reliance on remote optics and weapon stations because of its crew position." once again you are contradicting yourself, the t14 armatta was created under modern military doctrine, which means in your words that the vehicle is supported by all kinds of equipment, radars, infantry, air support, etc, without this any tank in the world It is vulnerable, I repeat are your words. 3-the survival capacity of the Russian tanker has always been high, since the Soviet Union armor and improvements have been created to protect the tank and the crew, of course there are now modern improvements but in their time they were at the forefront of armor, the The use of the automatic loader in addition to reducing the crew, contributes to reducing the size of the tank, in Soviet doctrine this meant maneuverability, stealth and material savings for more tanks and does not mean more work for the team, the automatic loader saves many movements and unnecessary maneuvers, also does not require much maintenance, mechanically they are reliable. 4- also the issue of the crew and automatic loader are irrelevant in the case of the t14, I repeat, it is a modern machine under modern military doctrines, having a large crew is not necessary with technological advances and even the Americans know it, they are also developing an autoloader mechanism and an unmanned turret tank, you once again include a question not relevant to the case of the t14.

Russia has a massive number of these Armata tanks in house ready to deploy in the event of all out war. They don't deploy their latest highly classified tanks to Ukraine. The T90's and the older models are more than enough to suffice. Something they didn't tell you about the stealth and electronic jamming of incoming missiles (including MANPADS) in this video is that not only the Armata tanks are equipped with this safety system but also the entire lineup of their older tanks and armored vehicles including helicopters and jets are equipped the same system which is why they have been so successful completing their mission on a daily basis in the current war in Ukraine. It certainly is very capable on paper and the electronic systems make it formidable as computers don't make mistakes the same way people do. But electronics can also be a major flaw. When electronics break, if external sensors are shot, which often can be done even with small arms fire, then you can't take control of the systems manually which you can do with previous gen tanks. But then again, these tanks will still be supplemented with the tried and tested and reliable T-72B3's and T-90's which will fulfill the manual role as there's never just a single tank on the battlefield. This guy can be sitting at the back, popping targets left and right with sniper-like accuracy while other forces are engaged in a more conventional way I suppose.
Very modern and very capable tank; i read in a defense analytical site that this Armata will be more than a match from even Abrams SEP. However, Abrams are battle-harden, battle-proven and had done all that a tank is asked to do, so it knows what it is capable of and incapable for.
the Abrams has no advantage over the Armata except availability which is indeed important but due to Armata's crew capsule an Abrams cant even touch them, hideen behind 900mm of composites not including exterior armour, to put in persepective the newest SEPv3 is said to have around 750-800mm of penetration against well....certainly not Relikt Composites and not to mention its Afganit APS which can in theory destroy even APFSDS

@@lordemarsh6804 Way more than advanced and superior optics let the Abrams kick the shit out of those tanks. You’re forgetting the Abrams crews training is second to none. The T-14 is equipped with 26.5-40 GHz active electronically scanned array radar, which is used mainly by the APS. Up to 40 airborne or 25 ground targets down to 0.3 m (12 in) in size can be tracked simultaneously at a range of up to 100 km. The tracking system provides an automatic firing solution for the destruction of the target, which can then be transferred to either the APS or the main gun control computers.
I've always liked Russian military equipment. 85-90% of the function at 50-60% the cost. That's a fair trade for most customer countries, and makes more sense for a country with a continually fluctuating economy like Russia. Some solid design choices going into this vehicle, which is good since it'll be the foundation of Russian armour for the next 50+ years. Not buying the "the driver stepped on the brake" excuse for the failure during the parade - but Russia, for all of its greatness, has never excelled at simple self-deprecating honesty/humour. This programme, like the Su-57 etc. has had the brakes thrown on it pretty hard with the economic downturn, but the design will definitely be continuing forward when they can afford to start producing them en masse.
I only have one thing to say about this tank, and it's: AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
@Jasper Percabeth There were several umnanned turret MBT projects in NATO during the 80s and 90s. Most notably West Germany, the US and the UK. They kept manned turrets because the technology wasn't mature enough at the time, and in case of Russia still isn't. That's why the Armata program has been delayed several times. By now technology matured enough in the west and NATO has the first unmanned turret IFV in active service since 2015, the German PUMA with 350 units. Meanwhile Armata still hasn't entered active service. To note that until 2016 Russia was not able to manufacture fully indigenous thermal imaging systems. NATO did it in the 70s. The thermal imagers on T-72, T-80 and T-90 MBTs are either French Thales Catherine FC or license produced.

Abrams is old, heavy, and vulnerable. (see Yemen).
@@Cragified I do not know why you criticize the dependence of technology on modern war machines when it is what all the most advanced armies in the world are doing, totally depending on technology in all their equipment and weapons, the armata is the most modern tank in the world.
world and despite the fact that its combat performance has not been tested, it has a lot of potential to offer and even other western military powers recognize it, on the other hand I don't know what armor weakness you are talking about, the tanks that have been destroyed in war are of origin Soviet and outdated used by small and little trained armies, and you said that yourself: "You use any tank poorly and you will lose it" that is a contradiction of yours, it would be better for you to re-analyze the conclusions you have reached and rethink a new context.
@@Cragified 1- I know in advance that the tanks are to support the infantry and all the tanks that exist in the world are vulnerable in urban combat, it is something obvious and there is no point in mentioning it, this argument of yours has no context in the discussion, You're diverting the topic
2- "Which is something the T-14 is inherently vulnerable to due to its reliance on remote optics and weapon stations because of its crew position." once again you are contradicting yourself, the t14 armatta was created under modern military doctrine, which means in your words that the vehicle is supported by all kinds of equipment, radars, infantry, air support, etc, without this any tank in the world It is vulnerable, I repeat are your words.

If the banderties were winning, then they would have had a single successful offensive in 2 years. RU backed forces would not have maintained the LPR, DPR,
Zaporozhye and Kherson land bridge. Elensky wouldn't have to draft individuals aged 16-60 (men AND WOMEN) kidnapping them off the streets of Odessa. Ukr Army wouldn't have an average age of 42 (it was 26 pre-2022). And the so-called Foreign/NATO legion wouldn't have to lie about their recruitment numbers; Claim 20,000-25,000, Reality 1,200-1,500 according to a New York Times investigation (poor Wali the super sniper bought into the propaganda, and ran away just 12 days into his war tourism).
Not to mention, the RU Duma would have given VP full war powers 12+ months ago if they were losing as bad as US/NATO state media claims. But that's not necessary when an 8% mobilization is capable of crushing 4 separate NATO built-up Ukr armies/offensives in just under two years. Generations of military aged men either dead, ran away to western Europe to scam the locals out of their USD's, or oined the DPR/LPR to defend the Donbass.
