WW2 showed we can produce equipments faster than soldiers training to use the equipments. So i am all for Russian approach of protecting their users and keeping the crew size minimal. Russian can obviously produce equipments faster than people reaching 18 years of age so protecting the people inside is actually cheaper than producing piece of equipment. I've noticed that when name/label the parts on the vehicle, such as at around 12:00, the audio is out of sync with what is being displayed, like they will be talking about one part such as the smoke launchers but on the screen they will be highlighting the reactive armour. Plz fix this. EDIT: Actually I think the audio is out of sync with the entire video in general.

There is this huge persistent misnomer about modern day Tanks and Ammunition. This started in Mid WWII especially in Europe. Our rounds would basically deflect or bounce of the German amour and there is a very basic reason for this. The velocity of most all rounds fired at German tanks did not have anywhere near the kinetic energy of todays least powerful tank ammunition. I was stationed at Ft Knox and served a total of six years. What I can tell you maybe most surprising, It does not matter if we fired a special anti tank round (SABOT) or a simple field round, high explosive anti personnel shell, these have the energy to disable a tank and kill the crew by the shock wave. In Iraq we saw this to many times, as much of the time we already had a high explosive round in the breach, we would not have time to unload and load a SABOT or uranium enriched kinetic round. So we would shoot the basic anti personnel round first, then load the SABOT. We found out it did not matter. The basic field round would "IMPACT" the T 72 Russian tank with such high velocity no one inside survived. One of our M1's got hit in the turret about 4 feet from the back by a T72. The Tanks electronics were disabled and the engine would not start up, the shock that waves through the tank is so intense that basic electronics become shattered. If this tank, the T 90M were struck by any battlefield round from an M1 Abrams, it would be disabled. So much that people do not know about tank warfare, you can disable a T90 with a LAW if hit in the right place, such as a road wheel. There are many ways to skin a cat, but many more to kill any tank. The most over inflated claim by the Russians is Re Active amour, it only stops basic field rounds, a High energy depleted uranium round is far to kinetic to be stopped by the reactive blast, it will penetrate right through and exit the other side of the tank in many circumstances. This is why the M1 is still in service, and it is why it was designed to have a much longer range or distance to the target than the Russians rounds. On todays battlefield it is very very simple, the one who can shoot first and hit wins. There is nothing else to it.
In Iraq the tanks there were export T-72s with steel armor and no composite. The anti personnel rounds most likely created spalling which shredded the crew. That wouldn’t be the case with composite. And while shooting a road wheel stops a tank from moving, it doesn’t stop it from fighting.
I do not know how the tank will behave after being hit by a projectile, but there are many cases when the T 90 successfully withstood the hits of missiles fired from ATGM. After the missile hit, the crew remained alive and the car continued to fight.
I remembered one case. At the training ground, several idiots fired a 30-mm cannon at a T 72 tank in which a man was sitting, a man received a concussion. It was back in Soviet times

I don’t know what it is, but I’ve been caught by a Russian bug or something. I’ve been watching everything Russian. If it’s Russian, I watch it. Don’t know why. It started with the Ak-47, then everything military, then outdoors like hunting and camping, then Putin, then Moscow, then the people, then Christmas in Russia. Hell, I’m trying to learn the Russian language, I don’t know what’s happening to me. I’m a mid-40s hillbilly man that never gave a damn about learning Spanish, French, or any language for that matter and I’ve been trying to learn Russian for the last 5-6 months on my phone. I’ve got a damn app on my phone trying to learn the Russian language and I have no reason to use but to understand these RUclips videos. I don’t mean to rant but it just hit me, I’ve submersed my self with Russia and don’t know why. I get on the nerves of my coworkers with it. I watched a video of a damn Russian flea market this morning, what’s wrong with me? By the way, love the T-90, I think it’s awesome. And Russian military jets are freaking awesome. Love all the Su-30s, Su-34, 35,37 all of them. Even the Mig-31, loved the Combat Approved video on the Mig-31. My bosses son was a crew chief on the F-22 so I’m probably gonna get fired. WW2 showed we can produce equipments faster than soldiers training to use the equipments. So i am all for Russian approach of protecting their users and keeping the crew size minimal. Russian can obviously produce equipments faster than people reaching 18 years of age so protecting the people inside is actually cheaper than producing piece of equipment. Порой такое впечатление создается по причине того что в танкисты берут людей низкого роста. Если бы танки действительно были такими большими как их себе представляют то они были бы отличными мишенями для стрельбы.

I've noticed that when name/label the parts on the vehicle, such as at around 12:00, the audio is out of sync with what is being displayed, like they will be talking about one part such as the smoke launchers but on the screen they will be highlighting the reactive armour. Plz fix this.

There is this huge persistent misnomer about modern day Tanks and Ammunition. This started in Mid WWII especially in Europe. Our rounds would basically deflect or bounce of the German amour and there is a very basic reason for this. The velocity of most all rounds fired at German tanks did not have anywhere near the kinetic energy of todays least powerful tank ammunition. I was stationed at Ft Knox and served a total of six years. What I can tell you maybe most surprising, It does not matter if we fired a special anti tank round (SABOT) or a simple field round, high explosive anti personnel shell, these have the energy to disable a tank and kill the crew by the shock wave. In Iraq we saw this to many times, as much of the time we already had a high explosive round in the breach, we would not have time to unload and load a SABOT or uranium enriched kinetic round. So we would shoot the basic anti personnel round first, then load the SABOT. We found out it did not matter. The basic field round would "IMPACT" the T 72 Russian tank with such high velocity no one inside survived. One of our M1's got hit in the turret about 4 feet from the back by a T72. The Tanks electronics were disabled and the engine would not start up, the shock that waves through the tank is so intense that basic electronics become shattered. If this tank, the T 90M were struck by any battlefield round from an M1 Abrams, it would be disabled. So much that people do not know about tank warfare, you can disable a T90 with a LAW if hit in the right place, such as a road wheel. There are many ways to skin a cat, but many more to kill any tank. The most over inflated claim by the Russians is Re Active amour, it only stops basic field rounds, a High energy depleted uranium round is far to kinetic to be stopped by the reactive blast, it will penetrate right through and exit the other side of the tank in many circumstances. This is why the M1 is still in service, and it is why it was designed to have a much longer range or distance to the target than the Russians rounds. On todays battlefield it is very very simple, the one who can shoot first and hit wins. There is nothing else to it.
In Iraq the tanks there were export T-72s with steel armor and no composite. The anti personnel rounds most likely created spalling which shredded the crew. That wouldn’t be the case with composite. And while shooting a road wheel stops a tank from moving, it doesn’t stop it from fighting.
I do not know how the tank will behave after being hit by a projectile, but there are many cases when the T 90 successfully withstood the hits of missiles fired from ATGM. After the missile hit, the crew remained alive and the car continued to fight.
I remembered one case. At the training ground, several idiots fired a 30-mm cannon at a T 72 tank in which a man was sitting, a man received a concussion. It was back in Soviet times

I'll say it again... an Abrams could easily have an autoloader but it becomes a matter of safety when you have a gigantic carousel of ammo waiting to blow up , which surrounds 2 of the 3 crew members. Not to mention the Abrams (and Leopard, and a few others) also have blowout panels so that if the ammunition in the tank blows up the crew doesn't die.
Abrams and leopard have ammunition in the hull too. If that ammunition is hit it will go up the same. Besides, when it comes to autoloader detonations on Russian tanks. The vast majority of them was caused by the spare turret ammunition being detonated.

@Oleg Bauer There is already an autoloader dedicated to the M1, developed and tested at that, possible to introduce with the current turret without a structural modification - its from Meggit company.
And about tanks with the armored capsule... yeah Russians do have like 20 of them. In 2040 we will see how much more of 5th gen tanks will Russians have over the US (sanctions will murder the T-14 programme).

Russia and Germany. Germany's new Panther has a 130mm. Russias T-14 has a 125mm but will getting it swapped out for a 130mm as the T-14 was designed for upgrades In mind.

Well, the T-90 tank have different versions. For example, the export version is T-90MS, but for Russian army is T-90M. With the last modernization program "Breakthrough-3" ("Прорыв-3", in Russian). Therefore, I believe, the video will be about the tank version for Russian army, not about an export version.
