This is interesting to watch. Propaganda earlier said that the vehicle holds 8 landing troops. Now we learn that there are 7, provided that the seventh one is sitting on the seat. This is not a problem, as 7 soldiers is the standard landing craft in Russia. Propaganda also claims that the vehicle has the same level of protection as Western vehicles, but this is impossible if the vehicle can float. Ballistic tests indicate a protection level of Grade 4 according to the STANAG 4569 standard. This is the world level for floating vehicles of this type. However, it appears to be unable to protect itself from 30mm caliber bullets except at the front, on the crew side. There, there seems to be a 200 mm thick plate. It's probably not a steel plate, but I'm sure that the additional protection from the gearbox and radiator will be able to stop 30 mm cannon fire. The vehicle will be eliminated, but the crew will survive. This is a good compromise and is world-class. However, it is not possible that the vehicle would be equally well protected from the side, because then it would have to weigh more than the claimed 25 tons. What puzzles me is the camera view. Is it really all on one screen? If this is the way it will be solved in series vehicles, then the cameras will prove to be of little practical use. Western carts have camera previews arranged on monitors around the driver, and the newer ones in general have an "ironvision" system. It's interesting when a Kurganiec has a speed test. Then it has its side aprons removed. What is puzzling is the engine power. Russian sources say 750 horsepower (as much as in Western haulers). I think a figure of 550 hp is more likely. The footage shows that the vehicle is quite sluggish, while Russia has long had a problem with the power of its engines, so it always has to build small light vehicles. Certainly the vehicle's variable ground clearance is an advantage. It certainly increases cruising speed. It is nonsense that their night vision can see to 3 km. Third-generation night vision sees up to 300 meters. The Russian one has a range of up to 250 meters. Another interesting thing is the cannon test. The vehicle fires while standing at a target less than 100 meters away (I think it is 50-80 meters), but after a series of more than three shells the cannon will start to miss terribly. Those first three hits aren't very good either given the short distance. This is a problem known from earlier Russian light vehicles. I see that it is still not solved. I think the muzzleloader is a big leap in quality for the Russian military, but its problems are already apparent, which explains such a long delay in production. I think its equivalent in NATO will be the Polish "BWP Borsuk." Their parameters are comparable, but it won't matter if the Kurganiec does not go into production. It should also be remembered that Russia always creates terrible borps, which are prototypes for 10 years, and when they go into production they turn out to be much worse than the propaganda assured. However, over time these become decent weapons. By then, however, the West is already introducing more powerful weapons.

Its made for urban and rapid combat as ifv. So there is no meaning for such function as ( blade bulldozer)

Great design but I think many of equipment lacks in modern technology
This is interesting to watch. Propaganda earlier said that the vehicle holds 8 landing troops. Now we learn that there are 7, provided that the seventh one is sitting on the seat. This is not a problem, as 7 soldiers is the standard landing craft in Russia.
Propaganda also claims that the vehicle has the same level of protection as Western vehicles, but this is impossible if the vehicle can float. Ballistic tests indicate a protection level of Grade 4 according to the STANAG 4569 standard. This is the world level for floating vehicles of this type. However, it appears to be unable to protect itself from 30mm caliber bullets except at the front, on the crew side. There, there seems to be a 200 mm thick plate. It's probably not a steel plate, but I'm sure that the additional protection from the gearbox and radiator will be able to stop 30 mm cannon fire. The vehicle will be eliminated, but the crew will survive. This is a good compromise and is world-class. However, it is not possible that the vehicle would be equally well protected from the side, because then it would have to weigh more than the claimed 25 tons. What puzzles me is the camera view. Is it really all on one screen? If this is the way it will be solved in series vehicles, then the cameras will prove to be of little practical use. Western carts have camera previews arranged on monitors around the driver, and the newer ones in general have an "ironvision" system.
It's interesting when a Kurganiec has a speed test. Then it has its side aprons removed. What is puzzling is the engine power. Russian sources say 750 horsepower (as much as in Western haulers). I think a figure of 550 hp is more likely. The footage shows that the vehicle is quite sluggish, while Russia has long had a problem with the power of its engines, so it always has to build small light vehicles. Certainly the vehicle's variable ground clearance is an advantage. It certainly increases cruising speed.
It is nonsense that their night vision can see to 3 km. Third-generation night vision sees up to 300 meters. The Russian one has a range of up to 250 meters.
Another interesting thing is the cannon test. The vehicle fires while standing at a target less than 100 meters away (I think it is 50-80 meters), but after a series of more than three shells the cannon will start to miss terribly. Those first three hits aren't very good either given the short distance. This is a problem known from earlier Russian light vehicles. I see that it is still not solved.
I think the muzzleloader is a big leap in quality for the Russian military, but its problems are already apparent, which explains such a long delay in production. I think its equivalent in NATO will be the Polish "BWP Borsuk." Their parameters are comparable, but it won't matter if the Kurganiec does not go into production. It should also be remembered that Russia always creates terrible borps, which are prototypes for 10 years, and when they go into production they turn out to be much worse than the propaganda assured. However, over time these become decent weapons. By then, however, the West is already introducing more powerful weapons.

They are in no hurry. They are under no threat and they have no plans to fight in the immediate future. Not everyone is or need to be driven purely by profit. Given their territorial holdings and a tiny population, they are wealthy enough to not need profit.
As the other guy said what's the rush? The US doesn't even have an analogue vehicle on the horizon still using shitty AAVPs and LAV25s 😂

C'est très bien le Kurganets, avec une protection latérale moderne et toutes les autres fonctions innovantes, mais le principal problème aujourd'hui pour tous les blindés modernes du monde, c'est la protection de toit, et cette faiblesse n'a toujours pas été résolue, tous les missiles antichar à frappe verticale avec charge creuse en tandem peuvent détruire tous les chars actuellement en service, même le Merkava 4 de dernière génération n'est pas totalement protégé contre des frappes verticales.
