    Great lesson.
    The secret is to play the 2nd major box inside the 1st minor one. That's all.

    Basically lets just say that the minor and the major is like e.g Cm7 penta is that started at 8th freth and the major is the same pattern started on 5th freth. in other words the Major Penta is the 6th grade from the harmonical

    • @ArthurB
      @ArthurB 5 лет назад

      I rarely see him using others scales, but the solo from "Nobody Knows You" from Unplugged has something different... It doesn't sound like simple pentatonic.

    Most all of what he shows in this video is basic to everybody who blends major and minor. If you're looking for an analysis of Clapton-specific trends or techniques you won't find it here.
    That's not to say I didn't learn anything; I never thought about bending that minor third up to the major third on the e string.

    • @gusomoya
      @gusomoya 7 лет назад

      Yes, or in other words: the 2nd position of A minor is equivalent to the 1st position of C major. But first you need to memorize all 5 positions of the minor scale to profit from this better, since the names can confuse you, as they confuse me!
      When you learn the minor you automatically learn the major, because it's only a few frets away like you said, and then for C both converge around the 8 fret, the Cmajor 1st position (equivalento to Aminor 2nd position) 8-10, 7-10, 7-10, 7-9, 8-10, 8-10, and Cminor 1st position 8-11, 8-10, 8-10, 8-10, 8-11, 8-11.

    so just drop down 3 frets and play the minor pentatonic there for instance c minor on the 8th the c major is the Minor pentatonic pattern on the 5th fret

    man 12 minutes you talk about 6 notes? man those positions are not new already we've heard about that a million times by now. why not go a little more in depth instead? appreciate your effort and time you put into making of this video, but the concepts you talk about are not worth of 12 min talking in and out, two minutes are enough plus couple examples and this would be more or less worth spending time to watch this video. good luck

    • @Learningguitarnow

      So who determines what the correct fingers are?

    • @TheLatePoets
      @TheLatePoets 6 лет назад

      There is no correct finger,it’s down to the individual, Clapton doesn’t use the the correct” finger, he uses his 3rd over a 4fret stretch, orthodox suggests it shouldn’t be your pinky
