  • This is very useful for me as I put a m7820 inside my precision m6400.
The top recognized officially gcard is a m7740.
I had fan control through applicaiton like MSI Afterburner with m7740.
I lost it with m7820 as well as the DELL boot screen, however with this special menu PROBLEM SOLVED.

Thank you for showing this i really do appreciate it very much. And your very welcome for the tip. I want to ask another thing about this, will the fan speeds actually stay like that at all times without "randomly" trying to spin up just while completely idle doing nothing ? It's kind of hard for me to explain, this is the other reason why I gave up and couldnt bear working daily with the E6420 laptop.
Since it's impossible to disable the BIOS fan over-riding on that unless having windows 10 (which i do NOT want) -- if i used HwInfo32 like you just showed in this video, i could force it to always stay at 2500 RPM only if i set the 2 boxes below to 0 seconds and 0 milliseconds...but it randomly keeps trying to spin faster for a momment, then back down - every 5 seconds...10..30.. 1 minute - whenever -- which is cause the BIOS keeps over-riding it i guess.
This made me so fustrated and irritated i couldnt work or deal with it on a daily basis. I'm hoping that does not happen with that hidden menu to disable the BIOS control for the M6400 ?? :( I hope this made sense.

My native language is Spanish... i think you say FN+R but nothing happends to me.
Please, could you WRITE the commands to use??
