Best of luck with your training Matt. Can be a bit vulnerable sharing training footage, so appreciate you posting this vlog. All the best to you and the EpicTV crew for 2020
Cool to see you trying hard on the max hangs. I also love them! Really love the half crimp grip, I find getting strong in this position really helps with feeling super solid on positive edges on overhangs. Keep it up Matt!
it is 15 per side and I do the dish tucks the same way cause going all the way up feels horrible on my back. supermans if you do them slower feels a lot worse but you get more benefit
13:26 How many movements was that? 80? Oh well i have problem doing 30 at the end of my training. Though i usually climb very slowly during endurance training because i usually don't climb fast on a rope climbing!
Hi Matt on June I was in Chamonix for the Arc’Teryx academy ( Actually I met you and Hugo in the bar). During the that week I could not find a climbing Gym in Chamonix. So where are you training?
I'm using the lattice app as well. But for my taste the variety of exercises is too small. Especially when it comes to flexibility exercises. Also I don't like that you can't adjust the number of reps, rest times and also stretching times. Nontheless I like to use it as an addition and to track my training.
Really depends on what you are doing that day. You can tailer it to fit your time. I recon though a good hour to warm up properly, and then do the exercises with the required rest time.
@@carlbowkett4588 Usually you get a set of sessions after you specify how much time you can train. The sessions can be combined although some they specify you can't do back to back. Some of the sessions you can also do at home, like the floor core workout or flexibility workout.
Hey Matt! Thanks for letting us be part of your sessions! I saw you performing the test on the lattice rungs but then train in the gym on the bm2k 1.5mm holds. How do the lattice rungs compare to the bm2k holds? There seem to be various different opinions out there and I was hoping you could shed some light since I am about to start a training plan myself and have only access to a bm2k. Thanks and all the best!!
Im sorry I might be dense, but why does it say "Set 3 (12th time climbing it)"? Did you climb that boulder 12 times? But what does "set 3" mean then? Is that the third boulder problem?
@@jonathanfaller1894 Crimpd app (by Lattice) Max hangs session says rest 2mins between sets. I guess exact full recovery times will depend on the individual. Really good app for training btw
I hear alittle about this and dont understand nada yet... But how does weight make str relative? :s in relation to weight? i find most fat people is weak as hell...
Terkel Algevind it's simple, if me and Matt are addin the same weight (30kg) on a 20mm eadge and I'm 57kg and he's, let say, 70 it means he is relatively stronger. I asked beacouse I'm pulling the same numbers but I dont think we weigh the same.

It's great seeing an insight into your training, best of luck!

Gotta work on that upper mody mobility.

How long does a gym session average time wise?

Usually my Lattice plan sessions are max 2 hours
Thanks looking to par take in next few months was just interested to know if it would fit in with work

It was on bm1k which is 19 mm deep (more or less the same as lattice). Even Alex Megos won't be able to hang on 1.5 mm :)
kostrzak18 thx!!
That explains a lot...didn’t realize at the time.
Great content Matt. How large are the bottom holds on the Bm2000?
15mm
@@TobyClimbs not always
They're not standard, it vaties a bit from board to board (by a couple of mm)

Getting the floor core exercises is crazy difficult!
It kills me!
Nice! How long did you rest between the max weight hangs? 30kg on the 15mm bm2k is pretty strong 💪
elfriederich for max hangs it’s normally about 2 minutes
@@louise.climbs I would say more 3-5 mins. 2 mins isn't enough for full ATP restoration

does your three-month program get connected to the crimp'd app? and if so, how?
Yes, it can be connected - by you using the app ;)
Great episode Matt, looking forward to seeing the success and crushing the 8a boulder problem 💪
Where is this? It’s beautiful.
