My girlfriend said it’s either me or magnus........sometimes I miss her
Sometimes.....
Same........
I told my girlfriend it's either Magnus or Her.
Nathan Roche same
was her name chalkline?
7:50, actually I would like to see more training, if it is really monotonous you could speed it up. But Training to me is a major part of climbing and I would love to see more of it.
The local climbing gym opens next Monday, I *really* miss climbing :D
Hi
damn im here early
Magnus a lot of us would love to see you doing hard training even when it's repetitive. Personally it's really motivating
I totally agree!
i think he did it before his channel started growing because most of his viewers were also climbers.
Yeah I understand Magnus going with the money flow, this is a bussiness he wants to grow (and is refreshingly open about that aspect) - but I also miss his early vlogs which were just him doing insane training volume, that pure dedication, he has been my main source of fitness inspiration for way more than a year by now because of it.
..and the large wall climbing, or failing on a high grade project for a week. Oh well, gotta move with the times I suppose, that being said, I do hope he makes some more content like that in the future anyway hehe =)
I would watch a live stream of it as often as he does it. never heard of better motivation.
Not only that, but just seeing him put forth series effort into the training yet seeing how simple of training it can be. That is also super motivating. A "make it as easy or hard as you want" type thing that anyone can do. Also, the music makes it great too
Magnus: welcome to my new home! I built the world's largest home gym!
Guest: impressive! I don't see a kitchen. Or your room?
Magnus: oops :-o
The kittens was the best part. The whole video is sooo good and all. But the kittens was the best part
Agreed, great vid, but you can’t compete with the kittens
Hi Magnus. If you see this, i just want to say that you are my idol and inspirasion for climbing. I realy miss going to Oslo Klatresenter thinking that «this wall has Magnus climbed on»😂. You make my day each time you release a video. Hilsen Odin 14🙂
Your name sounds pretty badass
I am Norwegian(Norge)
I agree Odin
Jimmy Page right? Its actualy the name off an all powerfull god (if you didn’t know).
@@odinmeisfjord1939 Yeah, I did watch Vikings (at least the first couple of seasons). I guess that's a name to grow into, how are you handling the pressure of being named after an all powerful god? All good so far?
Magnus: "It's important not to go out to hard"
Also Magnus: *Does 4+ full rounds in first attack*
I apprechiate the training related content😍
Anyone here cause they can’t rock climb rn so they watch magnus instead?
I was here even before we couldn’t climb anymore. You can have better motivation than magnus
freddie_connor Oh. I rock climbed in the gym today. I am a member of an Norwegian bouldering youth group and the gym is open just for us. No one else is allowed in. Not even Magnus. I am really happy to be able to climb again after so long. I hope you can climb again soon. :)
@@kristineb2901 I live in Britain and check my local climbing gym's website everyday hoping there is a date of reopening.
The Immortal LEGO the bouldering gym I climbed in today is opening for everyone 15th of June. I hope yours opens that soon too if the virus situation is under control in Britain.
My university had a bouldering gym called “Red Barn” - it used to be a barn and has been restored internally to suit the bouldering gym.
Rock climbing is a growing sport here in Western Australia, wish my uni had a rock climbing wall.
Went to school in Rochester? I am from Buffalo but I would drive out there every month or two to climb at that Red Barn, fun place
Ayy got a UB Grad over here and we used to climb at the Red Barn a ton, great community, great gym.
"Anyone can do this!" Magnus my climbing gym is closed. Help.
I feel you. I recently broke my leg in a bouldering fall and I can’t climb
@@avavancil7806 Do you have any tips to avoid hurting yourself while falling? In my gym every boulder has a top out (you get on the top of the wall) and climbing up on that 90° angle is always scary, especially on overhangs where the angle is even bigger.
@matthias I would suggest extra crash pads because I only had one and I missed it, so as long as you have enough crash pads to secure your fall, you’ll be good.
@@avavancil7806 ouch Jesus christ
matthias If you’re in a bouldering gym the bouncy floor underneath you to protect your fall should be fine, unless you land really awkwardly. I assume Ava was bouldering outdoors, which is almost always more dangerous.
Magnus has me out here taking notes😂
3:48 this is the final proof that Magnus just traveled forward in time to meet Rein, his future self that realized his dream of building an indoor climbing gym inside a barn next to a big house!!
Or maybe time isn't linear
"another joke on magnus's T-shirt"
I just started campusing the underside of my stairs because I’m missing climbing so much. My fingers have lost a lot of strength 😔
(I finally reached the top today tho 💪)
Rishab Prakash Lol I uploaded a vid of me doing that. I lost a lot of strength not climbing too 😔
One Problem at a Time I’ve watched a few of your videos!! They’re great!
I’m nowhere near as good a climber as you since I’m pretty new to the sport, but maintaining strength for climbing is hard for me.
Rishab Prakash Oh wow I’m happy that you’ve seen my videos! Yeah climbing is such a great under appreciated sport, and once you start you get hooked.
Good Work!! Keep Training man~~ We Will All Get Over This LockDown!!!!
Ps: I did that too :D
Late Climbers I saw your stairs, they are way nicer than mine 😂 Mind are outside and the wood is very sharp so my fingers get destroyed.
Going bouldering first time tomorrow! Should be interesting.
Good luck and have fun!
Good luck!
Hope you liked it!
It's hard. Very hard. Don't be fooled by how Magnus makes it look like a beach vacation =D
Nice to see another video, definitely giving this a try. 2020 goal...collab with Magnus.
That sounds like a rad goal. Good luck man
henry 1 thanks dude. Haven’t really seen any huge youtubers collab with any relatively small channels. Would be so sweet.
Subscribed to you now Ryan😎👊
Good luck out there, I’ll be watching
Hey Magnus, like another commentor said, even watching you do repetitive movements and training exercises is still entertaining! It's also inspirational because we get to see how hard you're trying!
I’ll be trying this when my gym opens up. In the meantime, we’re climbing outdoor lol
Be safe ❤️
Where i life climbing gyms are already opened 🇦🇹🤟🏻
@@florianpirker1011 same for me🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
Florian Pirker mine open tomorrow
I built a climbing gym in the cellar 7 years ago, I was getting ready for the lockdown without knowing, worth these days
those kittens are cute as shit
We don't care about fancy moves for RUclips, we care about you
Do a colab with Chris Heria from THENX channel plsss
Would love to see more outdoor climbing
Me too!!! He should try Silence in flatanger.
@@k8o181 would be entertaining but i guess he could do very little moves on it (no offence magnus :P), but there are lots of other beautiful better looking lines in the cave.
@@MultiNarf Yeah Ondra trained for 4 years and even said the route might not be possible without his frame and flexibility even if you're a really strong climber
Two interesting routines that would surely increase anyones fitness
So.. are you quarantined with your pretty intsagram lady?
Thought im on PornHub for a sec👀
Idk why but I’ve never watched rock climbing or anything of the sort in my life I stumbled upon magnus from arm wrestling mojo and now I can’t stop watching how great you are magnus keep doing what you do your so great!!
PLEASE DO A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO HOLD TRICKY HOLDS NOT LIKE CRIMPS WHERE YOU NEED TO HAVE FINGER STRENGTH BUT LIKE SLOPERS AND STUFF
Magnus finally providing the real content! Kittens!! 😍😜
Have you thought about getting involved with competition in any fashion? Even if it’s just spectating and making a vlog out of it, or commentating, or maybe competing again? Haha, love the videos, Magnus.
I mean, he is 15x norvegian champion so he Kinda Did a lot of competition in his life, you were talking about a come back ?
you could have just filled the whole episode with those kittens
Hi Magnus, would love to see a video of you and Adam Ondra one day. I think that really would be awesome! Love this video by the way!
Magnus inspired me to be interested in rock climbing, but there aren't any places near me with places to practice
Right now I travel around 1hr 30mins to 2 hours to get to my closet gym. My alternatives are building my own climbing wall which costs a lot but then you have a climbing gym at home, or doing a training course to climb outdoors instead
You should consider outdoor bouldering!
What a great episode
Ur lucky u have a way to train and u have a bunch of cats and a training wall my local is down the road from me but it’s closed what should I do to train
Dude this is so cool of you, anyone else involved in a fitness capacity would try to profit from there routines/training guides. You're the most genuine man I know, much love.
Hey I really appreciate more of these training videos I would like to maybe try climb at a competitive level and these exercises are extremely helpful.
Okay, I can't help myself... Does Rein (for the Americans here) talk JUST like the way you'd expect a stereotypical Norwegianer to talk, or is it just me, lol.
Are you sick or is that the second-hand smoke? haha. Thanks for another great video.
half an hour on the wall, after training..
Thanks for the great content
nice training, you very good, but climbing on plastic is not my thing.
I really love this type of videos man, they've got the vibes of your old ones and this brings back such good memories! Keep it up, you're of great inspiration mate
So excited for a new video to be out, and even more excited that it is another relaxed vlog. I don't climb myself, but I still love watching your videos.
I ordered a rungné chalk bag today, can’t wait for it to arrive :))
hey Magnus a good wall for you to speed is La Diga di Luzzone :D
Magnus should try spending 24 hours/1whole day in a climbing gym
You could do live streams when you do this kind of training, it would be a great way to do like q/a stuff with fans =)
13:44 😳😳😳😳 ok seriously Magnus thanks for all the wisdom .. I’ve been climbing for around 9 months now and it all started from watching your channel !!! Thank you 🤜🏻🤛🏻
KITTENS!
Magnus I love your Channel, would be impossible to you invite Chris Heria to climbing one day?
Sr meatball, your videos are awesome!
Free solo or free rider climb?.. which do you prefer??😎
Kitties!
So wait you cant match during campusing richt?
Compared to your normal climbing grade how much easier would you do the training circuit on?
Great choice of topic Magnus! Thank you very much for this video!
👍🏼
"anyone can do this"... OK I'll try 😂😂😂
Thank you for shooting in 4k. Often beautiful scenery is lost due to the camera quality
1st?
Says 2 views in the video. But this comment has already 3 likes?
I will definitely try to incorporate that into my training routine. Thank you so much for sharing, Magnus! Always great content.
Do u get stressed when looking at insanely hard routes in a climbing gym? Like do they intimate u at all? Could someone like me who's 28 in*decent* shape but have no endurance get to a point where I could climb like u?
The quality is nice
Great video Magnus, I'll be implementing this once my wall is complete 👍
Love this video by the way! love seeing training ideas! Thanks for the vidoe
That speed campus was insane! Definitely want to try that sometime.
Super refreshing to see this kind of content again. Really missed the good old climbing and training, it's what brought me to the channel initially. I would love to see more of this!
Greetings from Innsbruck, gym is finally open again!! :)
this scrars me
What's the breed of the cats?
What are the kittens?! Aaaahhhh!
I have been following you from the start! Love you!
Spaghness Meatbø
l
Thanks for all the tips! :) To some degree, I've been doing elements of these programs by accident as I just try to get better on my home wall.
Magnus, I think the way to get the largest home climbing gym would be to open a professional gym, pay it all off, close it down to the public, and then move into the building....haha
Another great video . You ever thought about coming to Scotland ?
have you ever tryed the route "The Ghange" in fratanger?
Any word on when gyms are opening back up in Norway? A lot of states here in the US are open, but still not mine 🙄
The 15th this month. So pretty soon :)
You should do more training videos like this. It doesn't mater if it's not dynamic, it's still entertaining.
Is the first exercise similar to what you did at the end of the Lattice test? I'm assuming this would be more difficult because the holds vary where as the ones in the test were pretty much the same and close in distance. Also I'm not a climber so please forgive any inaccuracy in this question. Thanks.
Look at that giant vein on Magnus's forearm at the start of the video
Dear Magnus, Power and strength are different terms. In the second exercise you trained for strength while in the campus you trained power. I acknowledge that these exercises train much more than strength and power.
"Take Screenshot"
Oh Magnus ... (for some reason I heard Marte's voice saying that)
I love the optimism you have, thinking most of your followers are even remotely close to this level of climbing.
You don't need to be at his level to take advantage of these exercises. They can be scaled down.
Love you vids man
Great training tips and awesome exercise motivation! Too bad I already worked out too hard in my first sessions after the lockdown.
Please do more videos on workouts and maybe even recovery and nutrition :)
2:50 who else just looked at his shadow
you should make a video of marte guessing the grades of some boulders. I came up with this idea a week ago so no, i didn’t copy Emil Abrahamsson
10:24 I would imagine that’s how a sloth climbs lol
dude thats perfect!
He reminded me of Oswaldo (rockentry) when he was warming up with Magnus
Yessss
Magnus, would these boulders be the same grade as a problem you can comfortably flash? Lile if I were to be able to flash most 7a's would I do this with 7a?
I'd definitely enjoy some full training videos, like a series, where you train and explain in a voice over how did you plan the session, about the exercises, etc.
Hey Magnus, I just wanted to say thanks for the awesome content you deliver. You gave me the motivation to get back in the climbing gym after 20 years off :D
Looks like Magnus is alrady getting back in shape good job!!!
Climbing gyms in germany are back open. Hows it looking for you guys?
Hey Magnus how’s your grappling training going? Are you still training?
Do more videos like this it’s super helpful! I’ve gone down the endurance training rabbit hole recently and its nice to see how you guys train for routes!
