I am fascinated with this disc brake conversion project, watching every video available. But no one seems to offer a practical reason for performing the upgrade. If nothing else, drum breaks last significantly longer than disc brake pads, so is there a practical reason for doing the upgrade?
@@RAGordy you get better breaking. Disk brakes are more efficient and dissipate heat better which is better for off-roading when you will be utilizing the brakes often. Also after you upsize your tires over stock it takes a lot more to counteract the rotational force of the tires and the drum brakes just don’t cut it. I hope this helps.
So I went to junkyard and I grabbed everything from a 05 liberty and I grabbed the brake lines off it to because they literally look brand-new can I use them on my xj will they screw in my block on the rear end or do I have to change the end
Are you talking about the hard lines or the flexible ones? I am honestly not sure if the hard lines are the same. Everything should thread together though.
are you telling me , i just need the stuff you showed on your table? i can keep the original axels? and thats it? whata bout some videos said you have to change the axles and also, loots of sh%$#%#$
@@serchmarc everything I used was shown in the video. I used the original axles. Some people have issues with stud length and some dont but that doesn’t mean you need new axles, just longer studs. Just make sure you get your parts from the right differential that you have.
Very nice! And hey! It's 2 Door! Very well put together video, and the link for the parking brake connector as a bonus. 👍

It works great.
Awesome. Thanks for the straight forward video. I’m about to take on this upgrade and it really helps out.
what year zJ value? @@ProjectVenture
@@xjoverlanding2023 should be any year XJ model. Just make sure that the proportioning valve looks about the same.
If youre talking about the spring, 93-98 ZJ is what I used.@@xjoverlanding2023

DO NOT ORDER the brake adapter from them , IT IS SCAM . I ordered one in August and never got anything.!!!!!
Did you reach out to them and follow up?
Does 15” wheels work without any problems?
Yes, that is what I run.
