Hi Everyone! Please look at the interview between Dennis Edwards and Tom Meros. David RUFFIN did not have Eddie and Dennis money. Let's set the record straight. Dennis and Eddie left after their tour with $5,000 in cash each and each had a $50,000 bank note. David wanted all his pay in cash so he stayed at his brother Jimmy's house until Monday. He went back to Philly and visited a crack house and never came out according to Dennis. The promoters wanted to book another tour and double their money. Dennis nor Eddie could get David to come and sign the contract. You know the ending. Just look at the interview.
@@nhump7046 David's agent said the missing money belonged to him(David), Eddie and Dennis. David collected the money from the tour promoter and was supposed to wire Eddie and Dennis their shares over the weekend. @@Relivelive This is another version that I have read about. However Dennis Edwards had an interview with Tom Meros and was adamant about the circumstances following their tour. David and Eddie were both deceased so I can't see any reason for Dennis to lie. He stated "David wanted all HIS pay in cash so he stayed with brother Jimmy until Monday. Eddie and I took $5,000 in cash and each of us also had a $50,000 bank note cashable in 10 days. David went into a crack house with $55,000 and never came out." According to Dennis a promoter had booked another tour doubling their pay. He and Eddie had signed but they needed David to sign also. Dennis stated he talked to David several times but couldn't get him to leave that "PLACE." I'm so heartbroken every time I think about the sad ending. Thanks for your comment.
Seems like once Eddie and Paul left, the group's material was all over the place (juggling three genres & their vocals being pushed aside due to Norman Whitfield's insistence on the instrumentation). Then after 1973, they were in creative rut; simply trying to relevant through uptempo tunes & slow jams with results varied from mediocre to horrendous. The idea for the Reunion was promising and it’s clear all the guys wanted it to happen as much as the fans did. However the execution failed quickly as it started from the album to the tour.

Y dey call for truop

You are so right

I ❤ AUNT FAN 🪭

A Cadillac and that w girl
Eddie and David , pretending to be upset so they could go out and cop some cocaine ...
Idk why ppl think smoking won't affect their voice🥴🥴
Anyone gets the feeling Otis a wimp calling Jay to complain about issues he knew would reoccur?
Otis was far from a wimp.......he was and still is doing everything he needed to do to keep the group together
@@dillinghamfilm Biggest Gordy buttkisser of the group. Can't clarify that William P/Kendrick E/Fraklin-also found the group. Never the voice of the group in terms of solo career.
Mr.Otis was and is still not a wimp.
I would have been the same way.
No fools are going to mess with
my money especially if I have a
family to support.
He wasn’t responsible for those
GROWN men who were also
fathers acting like children themselves.
By the way, who’s still alive from this?
Oh yeah,Mr.Otis!
He took much better care of
himself than his former band mates.
@@jaylene.turner6524 Well, Ruffin estate gets royalties. The voices that make his relevant to. When gone just a tribute unit completely
He's a coward who makes a big fuss so others will resolve whatever issue he is squawking about
Man seem to me Otis was kinda selfish n wasn't no type of brotherhood in it accept for Melvin
Otis spent more time firing members than he did backgrounds.
Exactly. Otis seemed controlling and bit envious of guys only looking out for Melvin.
@@carolynbratton7827 right he tried to make it like it was group decisions when it wasn't that's why Eddie was soo pissed n eventually left cuz he seem thru the bullshit n then Otis always sayin nobody was bigger than the group but act like he was bigger than the n if u wanna be technical Eddie n Paul had a group n Otis had one but only ones that stuck around was al n Melvin which is why it shouldn't just been one leader over the group shoulda been equal vote not Otis actin like he the leader of the group its bullshit
@@thereal6388Richard Street talked about that, it's mentioned in the story of Ruffin, Kendrick and Edwards which is up on the channel now.
TO BAD GAMBLE & HUFF DIDNT PRODUCE THAT ALBUM, OTHER THAN STANDING ON THE TOP, REUNION ALBUM WAS TRASH
Otis gets on my nerves.Im sure if we heard David or Eddies story it would be much diferent The movie did not even tell David or Eddie in a good light Im sure none of them are angels .But Otis is not the only one we want to hear from.I know for a fact he was jealous of the guys the women n men loved.❤Otis was a hater !!! With no talent for real Now hes Dr.Come on you sound staight out the country Talking about Eddie is stuff He could sing and was so fine .Every man wanted to be him every women wanted to be with him ❤❤❤❤
All of The Temptations are Honorable in their own way, no other group can or could hold a torch to them.
Much hater.
How did you know that he was jealous of the other guys? Im curious. Tell us how you KNOW that Otis was hater. To the rest of us you just sound like a groupie or a fan. Were you with the other guys and you saw for yourself? Or let me guess your favorite was one of the other members and YOU saw the movie so you know right?
@@CandaceTaylor-p4t Most likely the second one Lol
They watch the movie once and SUDDENLY they're a subject matter expert on everything regarding the temptations and it's many members
Another dumb miniseries fan.🤦🏾♂️
Otis was about him not the group he wanted nobody bigger than him Temptation for ever was bullshit look how he did Paul he got them in Motown.
Look how Otis treated Richard Street.
You mean how he didn't let him perform when he was clearly getting sicker and sicker??
