The Temptations (Glenn Leonard) - Just My Imagination Live
What about "Goody Goody"?? I love that one; and why did all of his wives look like lesbians??🧐
@@BeverlyLedbetter-cb1971 Goody Goody was released in 1957 by Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers even though it was just Frankie singing on the record. So I guess you can technically say it was a solo hit for him even though the record says Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers.
There's always an excuse to go back on drugs, that's still going strong in 2025! God help us. 🙏
SO SAD!!!!!!!!!!!
R.I.P. Frankie .🕯️🥀 🎼☄️🎙️☄️🎼👞👞
This cat had issues and he used heroin as his case manager.
Brother this was an excellent video. I will certainly be subscribing. You have an awesome delivery and it’s well researched. I like that you just use real photos rather than AI or stock clips that a lot of other channels do. Perfect.
I used to see the Temptations whenever they came to Boston at the Berklee Performance Center. The year of the reunion I got tickets not knowing anything about the reunion . When I saw 7 men on stage I was confused until I realized what was going on. The show was the unbelievable !! Eddie was spot on that night as was David and the rest. It was a once in a lifetime experience for a Tempts fan. I had really hoped they were back together for good.
The Sopranos had a episode loosely based on Lymon and his manager. His manager made enough money to buy horses on his ranch, what did Frankie buy? He bought Horse
He was pre-Michael Jackson! This is one of the best profiles on Frankie Lymon. Other profiles portray him as a junkie. You showed us that there was a lot more to him.
What a terrible comparison, not even close to being the same
What do you mean a terrible comparison? I was only comparing them talent wise. Both of them sang beyond their years. Show that you’re intelligent. Find out what a person means before you try to blast them.
It is rough to gain fame at such an early age. It's never what people think.
I loved Frankie. My favorite song was "So Goes My Love." Tragic life and death. 💓💔
Anyone signing with Roulette had a big problem anyway. Read a Tommy James’ book. Morris Levy was a pretty bad guy.
Definitely. Plus he was mobbed up
The three degrees seemed like the only ones that made it out alive but I think even as abusive as Richard Barrett ( group founder and manager ) was , he wouldn’t let a record label take advantage of them
This is a sad story 🥲🥲🥲

Otis gets way to much hate idc there wouldn’t be a temptation s without Otis, I keep seeing people say there would be but that’s cause their hating on him, facts is facts the temptations wouldn’t be a thing without him.
PREACH!
Why did the women this guy got involved with look so masculine?? It's very unattractive!😣
Y'all don't be fooled ,he was only called back to blood sacarfice him and say drug overdose because he was known for USEING drugs the whole come back to New York was a setup I knew that was a death call again don't believe these lies they tell y'all this about all the stars ...you can't fool me . THAT PART 💥
😂Get a hobby!
WHO sacrificed him??? Tell me ONE person connected to Frankie whose career got better after he died...Blood Sacrifices are a very real thing but they are ALWAYS connected to somebody's come-up. NOBODY came up behind Frankie's death.
@UncleDuTheWatchman ASK HIS MANAGER,AND I DON'T HAVE TO EXPLAIN WHAT YOU DONT KNOW ...THAT PART 💥
@CollandriaGinn-v4n ASK YOURSELF WHY YOU BELIEVE NONSENSICAL BS ON THE INTERNET! _Get off of social media madness and _get a real life_ It's sad what's become of the internet. It was _never_ meant for the gullible or uneducated. 🤐
@UncleDuTheWatchman You're another uneducated, gullible creature that needs adult supervision when you're online. _PLEASE SEEK PROFESIONAL HELP ASAP!_
The year he died, we were introduced to The Jackson 5 Jackie Tito Jermaine Marlon and Michael😍 Michael Jackson reminded me of where Frankie was headed. Superstardom , he was so talent with charisma. Only 25 🤔 He didn't have the right people around at his age. Even if his voice was changing he could of transition like Michaels voice did. I often wondered what would and should have happen to this great entertainer if he live. RIP Frankie Lymon
Many people try to kick hard drugs, but sadly very few are able to live without them. If they leave narcotics alcohol, cocaine, pills claim them. Ruination is all too common.
In many cases it's actually more hazardous to your health getting off the drug or alcohol than to keep using
More informative than the movie, I like the actors in movie, but the movie was just so buffoonery. so, from 13 years to 25 years he was already a junkie.
So young
Such a great voice.
This was a lot more detailed than the movie. Thank you 💔.
VERY WELL DONE! EXELLENT PRESENTATION!!
@@DianaBeurman-lucero Thank you thank you
If he wouldn’t went back to New York he would still be alive. He basically relapsed and thought he could control his herion by doing only a little but overdosed great video though
Frankie was the best.
If it weren’t for his addiction to heroin this man would have gone far in his musical career. Damn drugs. R. I. P Frankie.
Doo-wop was actually going out of style! Elvis put it out of style, and the Beatles put Elvis out!
Frankie had an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING VOICE, wish he had been given much better songs in his later years!
Heroin junkie in his later years
Would you do one on Rudy Lewis, one of the lead singers of the Drifters. He had a beautiful voice. I loved the video of Frankie Lyman. I was a child, but he was a great singer, a natural born entertainer is what he was.
@@Imissyoulou I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yes I'll add Rudy Lewis to the list.
Who came here to see Otis.
I did now what
I did. He’s the only one who is still living, and got the last laugh in the end.
This is great. Is there a way you can do one on Paul Williams? I still see some missing pieces. Thanks. Also on the Esquires and the Unifics?
@@alexandradillard2077 Thank you and yes I plan to do a video on Paul Williams. I'll add The Esquires and The Unifics to the list also.
Yo! I need that Frankie Lymon bobblehead
Frankie Lymon was so very young when he passed, he was so Talented. Rest In Peace Frankie Lymon, gone but never ever forgotten 🙏🕊️😇🕯️🌹🎚️🎤🎼🎵
They didn't mention that a woman introduced him to drugs in the movie
They also didn't mention he was way underage when he started messing with Zola Taylor. In the movie that have Larenz Tate playing him (which makes him look grown) but truth is he was 13 when all those stories on the road happened. He was turned out on heroin at 13 by a woman almost 30.
The Columbia disc is sensationally good.
As an artist, incredibly gifted with a God given talent; as a person very troubled and tragic.
Best commentary EVER! Beautifully done! Thank you ❤❤❤
Too much, too soon… story as old as time
He was indeed one of the greatest voices ever, a genius and bundle of energy unbridled. He is another gifted talent that fell by the wayside that says, "All That Glitters Is Not Gold". He was dead, long before he died, as was so many before him.
Why is it the ones who do NOT sing are the ones that are the leaders of groups? Harold Melvin, Otis Williams, Billy Henderson (Spinners) etc.
I’d like to know where were his parents???? Frankie’s adult voice wasn’t the disaster as legend made out to be. He sounded more like a crooner. Regardless of where his head was, and his demons, he was a talented young man whose place in rock and roll is secure. This was a great detailed account of Frankie’s later years. Thanks for posting.
Sea Breeze is a good example of his adult voice. Just needed some fine tuning but he sounded good
@Purpledawg-d9s I agree. He sounded more like a crooner.
I guess that dope kind of corrupted Frankie's morals and code of ethics.
Should have chosen alcohol. Gin, Rum, Vodka.
June 30th holds a part in Pop Culture. It was the day that Ed Sullivan and his toast of the town debuted in 1948. The guiding light soap opera debuted on 1952 and florence ballard was born in 1943, and in 1983 Cheryl Ann Tweedy formerly of Girls Aloud was born whose ex was Liam Payne of One Direction.
👍
The Teenagers as well as The Schoolboys & Students were the original Boybands. Also in her book Rock Star by Jackie Collins (RIP) that was published in 1987, there was a singer similar to Frankie called Bobby Mondella. His career ended at 16, when his voice changed. He worked as a Men's Room Attendant but he made a comeback. Both Michael Jackson (RIP) and Donny Osmond also admitted they were scared when their voices also changed. Also in the 1960's the music scene had changed so much and he couldn't keep up with the times.
For God so loved the world that he 😍 gave his only begotten son That who so ever believes in him should not perish But have ever lasting life The Bible says that Jesus died For our sins On the cross Jesus christ arose from the dead The Bible says that Jesus came to die for sinners and redeem the world from sin and death Jesus christ is alive and you can be forgiveing for your sins u don't have to die in your sins And go to hell fire for ever Jesus christ Took our penalty for our sins Jesus christ loves you and wants a relationship with you ❤️
Amen 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 that's my favorite scripture! ❤❤❤
He died on my 7th bday.
Thank you for this video! I was looking for new info on Frankie myself and I kept finding clips that repeated the same info. This is new stuff I never heard. This is great!
Grown women and grown men liking, having sex & imposing grown people's responsibilities on minors or way too young people will never gonna be ok at all with me.
