I met Allie Ollie Woodson in 1979. At that time he had replaced Eddie Pendergast as lead singer for the then declining Harold Melven and the Blue Notes. They we booked for an entire week at a small venue in Spencer Oklahoma. i went to all their performances which were far from sellouts. i think that Mr. Woodson noticed me because I was at every performance. At the time I was a promising songwriter and college student. Mr. Woodson took many occasions to sit and talk with me about the business. His conversation was always inspiring and seeded with wisdom. One of the things he shared with me I have never forgotten. He said "...there are two voices in your head. Which one you listen too makes all of the difference in the world." I've never forgotten that week in my life. And I will never forget the wisdom he gave me. Although I am still writing songs, now in my 60's, never had more than 5 songs published, never made it to any big stage. Still I treasure that week i spent at a small venue in Spencer Oklahoma when Allie Ollie Woodson took the time to spend time with me. May you rest in the peace and joy you gave to me over 40 years ago. I am the better from that simple wisdom you shared. And I am grateful.
Mr. Woodson, I just found out that you and I have not only the Milwaukee conx, (MKE is my hometown, I know Harvey Scales & The 7 Sounds, well), but we have the JAPAN connection, too. (I lived in Tokyo from '78 to 2006.) You came thru Tokyo on one of your Japan stints. I met you at "Pickford Live Hall" in Roppongi. Do you remember? I do. I never forgot it. I also remember seeing your funeral on RUclips. I felt it very deeply. I have the opportunity to tell all interested, this very true story!

Most of these group shots are not of Ollie. Some are even shots of the stages actor singers of the Temptation play. You are mixing up every one thats ever been a temptation.
