Got mine today i'm so Happy to have this. 🥰💗
Very useful tricks. Thanks
Great video, Otto!
Thanks!!!
Awesome tricks. Thank you
Glad that you liked ;)
great review. as an actor-producer im always looking for simpler solutions to mic myself. thank you! prague is beautiful
Been using the holly land at work for about a year now and I thought it was just me but this video confirms it, the sound is just muffled or garbled. It's just not crisp enough.
Hi,
my Lark 150 has noise issues and i think yours as well. My old Rode TX RX system aint got these noisy background sound.
I just purchased a HollyLand Lark 150 to use with my MacBook Pro. I conduct Zoom sessions and wanted a better sound. When I connect it to my Mac it does not show up in the setting even after I tried connecting it via a USB cable. Any suggestions? Thanks
Such a great video, thank you!
I shoot fitness type videos where the subject is always turning around. Currently I use the Sennheiser G3 but I get a lot of drop outs.
I was thinking of recording a safety track with the Tascam DL 10, and sending a wireless signal to the camera.
Do you think the Hollyland is stable enough from around 20 meters? I was also considering the Sennheiser AVX but I hear there is latency problems.
Do you have any other suggestions on how to record and send wireless signal?
Thanks so much!
Thanks. If you have a budget, I would say go for Sennheiser AVX. We use it all the time in our video production and never had any latency problems. It’s very solid, better than our previous G4. If your budget is limited, then combo Tascam DR-10l and Lark 150 can be a great option. You can record straight to your camera using lark 150 and the same time you have a backup audio in your tascam dr-10l in case any drop outs. I think Lark 150 is usable in 20 meters, if you put the transmitter on the side of the person like shown in my last trick. Hope it helped!
Thank you for the review. What lavalier mic would you recommend for my Lark 150?
Hi there, I think rode lavalier go is a great option!
Thanks for the review! What camera do you use for your RUclips videos?
I use Canon C200 for my RUclips videos
Hola buenas tardes amigo compré unos hace un par de meses y me funcionaron bien por un tiempo …pero hace unos días se desconectaron y no volvieron a conectar ? Tienen alguna solución para eso ?
Thanks for this video! I didn't notice if you tested the Lark 150 with the Sennheiser lav mic. I would have liked to hear the quality difference with that
Hi Colin! I didn’t test it in the video, but I tried it by myself. I can say that Lark 150 with Sennheiser lav is definitely better than default lav from Hollyland, but audio quality is not great as if you would use it with original Sennheiser AVX. Hope it helps.
@@Hayotfilmscom thanks for the reply! Did you find the quality better with the Lark 150 using the Sennheiser lav mic or the Røde lav mic?
I think Sennheiser lav’s quality is slightly better, but not much. I think if you choose the Rode lav mic over Sennheiser you won’t make a mistake. At least if you compare them using Lark 150. If you do that using AVX, then definitely Sennheiser’s lav is better.
Great video.
Question: Does the Hollyland transmitter have a built in audio storage. So if the wireless connection failes u can get if from the transmitter directly?
Hi Michiel, Lark 150’s transmitters don’t have any built in storage.
Great tips. When you use 400s Pro and Lark 150 at the same time, do they interfere with each other?
Glad that you liked it. They’re not. They both perfectly work without any problem. Actually I was using Hollyland 400s Pro while I was shooting this video to get the video feed from my camera to my preview monitor. Hope it helps.
Diky za tipy.
Hello. I have the Lark 150 and the Zoon H1n and want to connect both to my camera, Sony a6400, using the h1n for cleaner audio which I want to record the audio into the camera. Please Help! Thank you!
Great review. I have a question. What is the best wireless lavalier system you think between your testing units?
Thanks. If you have a budget, I would say go for Sennheiser AVX, it has really great audio quality. If your budget is limited and you don’t do long interviews, then Hollyland Lark 150 could be a great option. Hope it helped.
I know this is an old question, but check out the new DJI wireless system. They took a lot of inspiration from the Lark 150 and made some improvements.
There is also a SmallRig version of this with possibly better transmission, now ...
Thanks, great video !!! I have a question, how can I connect Hollyland Lark 150 to my zoom f6 and have the channels separately? I ask you this question because the recorder does not have jack imput only 6 xlr imputs
3.5mm stereo TRS to two cannon xlr splitter cable, male-male.
Hollyland sell one HL-XLR02, as do Comica CVM-DS-XLR, and many others.
Thanks for a great informative video.
You mentioned briefly the possibility of using 4 transmitters with 2 lark 150 and a split. Could you please specify the setup?.
I tried with another brand, Saramonic, and I experienced many drop outs.
Thank you, much appreciated
Hi Simon, glad you liked the video. Honestly I haven’t tried this setup, because I don’t have two units, but I’ve been told that you can use two units at the same time without a problem, you should just keep the longer distance between the receivers to avoid any interference. So theoretically you can connect two units to Atem Mini Pro’s jack inputs and use 4 Lark 150 mic transmitters on your shoot. Hope it helped.
@@Hayotfilmscom thanks for your quick reply 😄
Can you use the Lark 150 while it’s in the charging box? It would be great option to use and charge the same time for longer shootings.
Hi there, unfortunately it’s not possible with the Hollyland Lark 150. When you put the transmitter or receiver in the charging box, they automatically turn off.
Hi bro thanks for this video
Future video Mars400s pro usb c to rj45 without capture card please make video
Thanks
Hi there, I will try to make a video if I get more request. Meanwhile I would really suggest contacting Hollyland if you can’t make it work or you can join this facebook group to ask about this: facebook.com/groups/hollylandtech
How about battery life of the Lark 150? Do you think it’s enough for professional use?
It depends on what kind of shooting you want it to use. If it’s a wedding ceremony, I would say go for it. if it’s short interview or you’re interviewing only one person, where you could swap the transmitters while the second one is in the charging box and charging, then yes, it’s good enough. If you’re using both transmitters at the same time I would say shooting up to 3 hours will be ok with this wireless microphone system.
Would you recommend Lark 150 or Zoom F2? Thank you
Hi Sharlott, It depends on your needs. They are different systems. If you're ok using audio recorders and sync audio in post, then Zoom F2 is a great option. But if you need a wireless lavalier system and you like monitor your sound and don't want to loose time on synchronization in post, then Lark 150 is a great option!
hi. is it possible to use 3 kits 6ch. without interference thx
Hollyland website FAQs:
Up to 7 sets can be used at the same location
Place each RX at least 0.5m away from the other
there are no way to setting auto switch-off trasmitter/microphone? very bad. in a wedding ceremony I walked away from the bride and groom for 10-15 minutes and the whole system turned off. If there was a setting to decide when this goes off it would be much better.
Funny thing is to me the Hollyland mike sounded better than the Rode, not saying it was a good sound, just better than the Rode. The "best" seemed to be the inbuilt mike on the Hollyland receiver but that is totally impractical to use, especially outside. Disappointed you couldn't come up with a better sound from the Hollyland system.
