    Would it work on Insta360 X4? I would like to see a review and setup of the two in action. Great video!

    • @codylander
      @codylander  13 дней назад +1

      You could get it to work with the x4. I’m not sure if it’s one of the mics they have listed that will be out of the stitch line. So you won’t see it. I know the rode mics were on that list. I think there is a compatible list on their site.

    Hey Cody, thank you so much for the video, you've gained a sub! It really helps me with my decision on audio setup for the ace pro.
    One question I had was basically the process when before and after recording. As a vlogger, there are multiple moments where you take out the camera from your pocket/bag, turn it on, hit record, etc. and I was wondering how it all works with this set up. Do you have to turn on the camera, then the mic, wait for it to sync or something?
    Sorry for the long Q but I guess the short of it is: how long does it take(and what steps are involved) to get from 'take camera out of bag' to 'recording with awesome audio'?

    • @codylander
      @codylander  Месяц назад

      You’re welcome! So glad I helped you out. And thanks for the sub! It’s a great little mic set up. I’m just about to post a Hollyland Lark Max review tomorrow. If budget allows you might consider the Lark Max over the Lark M2.
      As for your question. I believe the mic system stays on even if you turn off the camera. I will be doing another video where I compare the Lark M2 vs the Lark Max. I’ll confirm this when I get my hands on the M2 again very soon.
      But the battery life is pretty good on these systems. So you should be good for a solid couple hours before needing to recharge the microphones. So you could keep the power on or simply power the mic system off. You’ll discover what works best for you. Now that I’ve used multiple wireless systems I’m never really concerned about power with the mics because they recharge so quickly in their charging case. Obviously within limit. If I were on a multi day hike or just out where power consumption was a concern then I’d obviously be trying my best to conserve power on all of my devices.

    Hello, great video
    I want to ask you if you tried to connect the microphone directly to the camera with the USB type-C transmitter, will it work or the only way is I should connect it to the Insta360 Adapter.
    Thank you.

    • @codylander
      @codylander  3 месяца назад

      As of now you’ll need the 3.5 mic adapter for the Ace pro. I wonder if the next version of this camera will have the usb-c port updated so it can receive the audio signal. That would be great.

    So do you plug the TX in the usb-c plug of the 3.5 mic adapter ? If not, how do you plug it & why not directly in the adapter usb-c port ?

    • @codylander
      @codylander  2 месяца назад

      I wish the usb-c receiver worked directly into the acepro. But it doesn’t. You’ll need to use the 3.5 cable with the acepro mic adapter. Maybe on the Acepro ii they will update that usbc port?

    I'm very impressed with this tiny thing can record that good sound even when you mount it on the chest area, Although noise reduction works pretty well, I totally agree with you, it seems so much natural to see the video with some level of surrounding noise. but, the quality of Ace Pro at night time/low light recording, it looks pretty amazing.

    Hi Cody (again) - just to clarify... I think I will need the adapter + a mount to attach my M2 to the Ace Pro because it cannot connect via bluetooth like the DJI correct?

    • @codylander
      @codylander  Месяц назад +1

      Yes and no. For the way I have it mounted yes you’ll need the 1. Quick release mount 2. Cold shoe adapter.
      However I’ve been using a selfie stick/tripod made by smallrig that has a cold shoe adapter on the selfie stick. So I find myself not using the cold shoe adapter as much. But they are fairly cheap and some situations you might find yourself wanting/needing it.
