Thanks for the info. I have to look into the fast feed Oster Topaz. I am new to men's cuts so I imagine something that leaves a softer blend may be good? What do you think about the Andis BGRC, Have you tried them? suggestions for a newbie in men's cuts?
I kind of want these clippers. I fade my self with 76ers but its get heavy. Only reason why I have bought new clipers is oster 000 feels a little shorter than when I go to a barber that uses different types of whal clippers. I noticed in a week that my hair look longer already where Its supposed to be 000.
For Wahl yes because the majority of their clippers open up to a half or .5 But in this case the andis clippers open fully to a 1. So if you pop the #1 guard with lever all the way open it's like a #2. In order for you to achieve the #1.5 with a #1 guard you would need to put the lever half way. Alot of barbers confuse me because when they use Andis masters they say it opens up to a half but it actually opens all the way up to a 1.
What clipper would you recommend for cutting black mens beards. I’m getting hair bumps here and there because my current clipper snags and pulls out the hair and I’ll get a bump when the hair is growing back.
Brandon Isaiah Sexton great question. For me the ceramic didn’t run any different from the metal guard and I tried both, I actually like the metal better. Hope that help you thanks again for the question.
try putting some oil or kool lube in your masters so they won't heat up after one or two haircuts. unless you are spending 2 1/2 hours per cut perhaps they may get hot but it sounds like you have a defective pair. you should be able to cut on them all day non-stop, i have for over 25 years.
I just got these magnetic clips in the mail today and they aren’t clipping on to my clippers (I have the Andis Envy). The person I spoke to on the phone at Andis said they’d fit.. was it not true?
I mean the only good thing i see about these is if you want you can fade the .5 into the 1.5 closed and ignore using the 1 guard. Since the .5 is effectively a short number 1 anyway
since i have the andis blade on seniors , i need the 1.5 to blend da 1 into the 2 because it does leave a line , since it doesn’t open to a full 1 like the masters , am i right or no ?? , hope it makes sense
@@d3arb0rns not necessarily, it’s better to start open and just hit at the line, you should see it getting lighter. Once it stops getting lighter, you can close the lever little by little, sometimes you won’t need to close it all the way.
@@d3arb0rns when fading, something that helped me: Think about fading out the lines instead of the whole sections because that’s what you’re actually supposed to be doing, focus on setting in clean guidelines with your lever open ( No guard, 1 guard & 2 guard ) and then fading the lines out.
Let's be honest you don't need the 1.5 nor the 0.5 guard for the andis clippers that open up all the way to a 1. It's just not needed. I would still use the 1.5 just to feel satisfied I guess lol.
@@alexandersandino1988 the andis .5 is bigger than the 0 guard. So the only real way i see using this is to skip the 1 guard and just use it as a short 1 into the 1.5 guard

I just received this guard and they don’t fit my magic wahls and my TPOB! Gonna need to return them
Isn't a the 1 guard with the lever all the way open the same as the 1.5 guard with the lever closed?

Hey boss I modefied the double magnetic guards to fit my wahls and they are fire.

What's ur opinion on ceramic detachable blades versus metal detachable blades, do u think the ceramic actually run cooler?

Do the single magnetics fit the babyliss fx
do these fit the babyless FX?

Just subbed, thanks for posting I ordered the set as well $15.99
marshall stevenson my favorite guards
King The Barber I had the original purple guards but the 1.5 was a must I prefer masters blending
When do you use the 0.5 and the 1.5 gaurds ?
late but 1.5 when fading out the line the 2 guard creates &&&& the 0.5 for fading out the line the 1 guard creates

Yo, is that a black blade for the Fast Feeds? What can I get those at?
@Michael Willis Thanks. Appreciate that. Learn something new everyday.
Hey I recently bought the one magnetic guards and the magnet always sticks on the clipper since it’s magnetic, how can I fix that ?
You could try glue the same thing happened to me
They just don't fade like the whal guards.

would you need it or be able to use it on the fast feed, I'm not sure if the masters open up more?
You need it for the fast feeds tho
It's loud? It's worth it?
they aren’t that loud tbh, they’re worth it though
I'm having trouble understanding why they even have the 0.5 Gaurd. With the masters just adjust the throw...
Exactly just use the 0 guard and adjust the lever to achieve that "0.5"
